Stage 12: Albertville -> Le Toussuire – Les Sybelles
If they want to put themselves out of the reach of the sprinters, the fighters are advised to take advantage of the imposing Col du Grand Cucheron and the Col du Granier situsted in the first part of the stage. The finish line will be marked out in Davérieux, in the Communauté de communes (federation of municipalities) of the Bassin d’Annonay
Plan for the day. just stay in the peleton as I didn’t feel good today.
*** Philippe Gilbert (BMC Racing Team) ***
** Oscar Freire (Katusha Team) **
* Peter Sagan (Liquigas-Cannondale) *
The only thing that was interesting for today was the two 1st catergory climbs but because of the 7 man break and only the first 6 getting points. I basically had a free day. Voeckler did try to make a solo but the pace of BMC and Katusha was too high to get away. Philippe Gilbert won it in front of Samuel Sánchez, Valverde and Freire.

You made a little mistake: This was stage 13 from Saint Jean de Maurienne to Annonay-Davezieux (Correct me if Im wrong). Also you forgot to change the little table on the bottom of the report, it should say the title of the stage.
About the result: Well, good you kept up with the pack

@Selwink
Think the all-nighters are getting to me, you're correct about the Stage title (it is stage 13) but the table at the end is correct (both the personal rankings and the team rankings
@Ian
yup, it's back, I'm trying to get it to run one on one with the real TdF (if anybody noticed)
@Sutty68
should hope so, his form of the day was really low, today is a flat stage so basically another rest day

Stage 14: Saint-Paul-Trois-Châteaux -> Le Cap d’Agde
Plan for the day. another rest day. time for a sprint. And because Hutarovich didn’t feel so good and we had no other interest in today stage we gave the camera a free-day. so we skip it. Hivert won from a break on quatorze juillet which makes it extra special. I stayed in the peloton but not everybody did that. Andy Schleck lost contact with the peleton and loses 45 seconds
Spoiler I just couldn’t be bother with setting the whole thing up for such an unimportant stage

The Pyrenean series will begin with a day of discovery that the fittest climbers will appreciate. The steep slopes of the Port de Lars and above all of the Mur de Péguère may well cause a lot of harm. The Mur de Péguère, which was initially chose for the tour’s route in 1973, but was not featured in the end, boasts areas where riders face gradienst of almost 14%
Time to pick up some KOM points.
***Samuel Sánchez (Euskaltel – Euskadi)***
** Alejandro Valverde (Movistar Team) **
* Cadel Evans (BMC Racing Team) *
At the first mountain sprint nobody was out in front and I easily took up the points
just after the intermediate sprint Albasini (GreenEDGE) completely ignored the gentleman’s agreement by breaking away using the Intermediate sprint. He got 10 minutes and won the stage by a large margin. Nobody was really going for the KOM points except De Gendt (Vacansoleil) so it was between the two of us for the points.
and I got quite a shock when I saw the Mur de Péguère. Just look how steep that thing is! We hit +18%
at the final mountain sprint it was really close between me and De Gendt.
As mention before Albasini won the stage and we sent Lodagnous on attack to take 2nd place which he did. With all the sprinters dropped I tried to go long in the sprint and almost missed the final corner.

Great result from the team on the stage that always ends with a breakaway win.
It should be possible for Pinot to stay in GC top 10. |

Rest day for the camara
Stage 17: Pau -> Bagnéres-de-Luchon [
The layout of the stage and the future stakes may well upset the order at the top of general classification, four days before the end of the race. No matter what the gap is, the major stage in the Pyrénées will be dreaded by the wearer of the Yellow Jersey, who will have to defend his position while climbing towards the Tourmalet, the Aubisque, the Aspin and the Peyresourde
*** Cadel Evans (BMC Racing Team) ***
** Samuel Sánchez (Euskaltel – Euskadi) **
* Andy Schleck (RadioShack – Nissan – Trek) *
the break got away with Fédrigo in it. Riblon, Dupont (AG2R), Vogondy (Cofidis), Kern (Europcar), Sánchez (Rabobank), Cataldo (Omega Pharma), Hoogerland (Vacansoleil), Sprick (Argos), Gerrans (GreenEDGE) and Bak (Lotto) and thanks to the slow pace through the whole stage they decided between each other who would win the stage. It wasn’t until the Aspin that the peloton started to wake up when Gesink (Rabobank) attacked
I tried to follow but I didn’t want to waste too much energy early. As did everybody else meaning that Gesink was alone. He got a max 20 seconds before he was pulled back
Going up the Peyresourde Voeckler and Gesink attacked, Hesjedal, Wiggins, Andy Schleck and I followed. Well I thought that I followed, turned out that I was just pulling the peloton.
Just under the KOM point Gesink, Menchov, Samuel Sánchez attacked and stormed downhill
Not much later we heard via the radio that Riblon had won the stage while Dupont got second making it a AG2R 1-2. 3rd place was for Luis León Sánchez. Fédrigo got dropped and finish 8th. On the descent Cunego and Peraud tried to get away but they never got much ground. So we rode in the group of favorites to the finish and I sprinted to the 3rd place in the group sprint.
Stage 18: Bagnéres-de-Luchon -> Peyregudes
No one will be feeling out of danger in the morning of a stage that is just as difficult, where there will be no sleak period, with on the agende, the Col de Menté, whose steepest slope will be climbed by the riders and the Col des Ares. Then from the start of the port de Belés all the way to the red pennant there will not be any flat ground
The last day of the mountains. I’ll try to defend my GC placing but on the other hand the KOM classification is also within reach. With the last TT in mind. It would be better to go for the KOM jersey but is the peloton going to let me go?
*** Andy Schleck (RadioShack – Nissan – Trek) ***
** Samuel Sánchez (Euskaltel – Euskadi) **
* Cadel Evans (BMC Racing Team) *
the break got quickly away and I wasn’t allowed in there. With this being the last day of the mountains the KOM jersey looks far away. The GC top 10 is now my main priority so when Cunego (Lampre) attacked I stayed in the peloton. Same with Gesink (Rabobank). So I followed the peloton and soon the group wasn’t really big anymore and when riders attacked I just rode my own pace
apparently my pace surprised some others as I got a small gap
but I that was just my imagination as that group went up and over me
I did pick up some riders from the breakaway but they didn’t co-operate so I dropped them. And Roche managed to beat the GC riders by winning the stage. I finished 27 and lost my top 10 placing.
[center]Stage 19: Belgnac > Brive-le-Gaillerde
the leaders of the general classification are advised to get their breath back, but it is unsure whether the teams of sprinters who have not been able to express themselves for a long time, will let them have this luxury. The club of finisihers capable of challenging Cavendish during a grouped confrontation is increasing. Brive appears to be a city that is there for the taking
if even the stage disruption says that I should catch my breath, who am I to say no to that.
maybe too much breath catching?
I didn’t lose any time however so nothing lost
after this 4 days of intense racing Evans keeps the lead of the Yellow jersey but Sanchez and Schleck did close the gap a bit. But things look good for Evans to take his second Tour win. Voeckler, Hesjedal and Nibali stay on 4th, 5th and 6th respectively. Gesink and Valverde swap places while Cunego stays 9th. Wiggins enters the top 10 while I drop down to 12th. Riblon takes the KOM jersey from Le Mevel.
