Hello everyone. Week ago I came to Los Angeles. Partly it´s my holiday after first part of the season but mostly I´m here because here lives one of the best trainers on recovery.
I will be here for another week. Than I will go home to see my family.
But first things first. Yesterday I had meeting with that trainer and we worked out my training schedule for the upcoming three months, until Vuelta.
I will have to work really hard but I really want to get closer to my dream of wining a GT. But that´s way off right now. For now I will enjoy beautiful weather and hot girls on the beach. Try to regenerate as much as I can before I will get to work again. After I spend another 2 weeks with my family I will go on training camp in pyrenees. I will start there training on my recovery.
Tommorow I will go on NBA match. My favourite team plays against city rivals Lakers. I´m really excited about that.
Cheers from L.A

Meanwhile I was on a training camp in Pyrenees. Our main objective was to get tactics for Vuelta done with Cobo and Valverde. Cobo is doing Tour-Vuelta double. I think we got to know our selfs better each day we are together, and I think Juan José is really great guy. We didn´t raced together yet but I know it will be great.
Of course right now I´m looking forward to NC. I will be totally of the form but I will try to do something there nonetheless.
Here is a photo of us trying to get through on of the mountains.
Again I probably won´t be reporting for awhile. Next week I´m invited to a beneficial concert in Portugal.
I´m starting to feel what it is to be famous. I´m liking it so far, Ok I have to go now.
Seeya later

Portugal National Championships
Today was a beutifull day here in Portugal. I was going to race my first race after 2 months. I didn´t raced ITT. As I´m really off the form and I didn´t wanted to risk injuries. But let´s get to race:
Here is probbably the smallest peloton I will ever ride in.
I wanted to try my legs so I went to front right from the start.
After 5kms 3 riders got away.
My A-plan was to jump in to the breakaway of the day but when I saw that 6 riders of the same team came to front I hesitated and started to believe them that they will chase the BOD.
After 50kms they had more than 6 minutes. Same 6 riders were dictating the pace the whole race. It was so slow. But I still waited. I had to go for a water I couldn´t wait for a eating station.
After another 50kms and with only 62kms to go I couldn´t wait any longer, I attacked.
The pace didn´t changed and after 5kms I was 2 minutes ahead of them but BOD was already 8 minutes in front of me.
After 20kms I was only 4 minutes behind. I kept going it felt like a 60kms time-trial but with regular bicycle.
20kms to go and I started to stalk. I was 2 minutes behind I could see them but it just wasn´t meant to be for me this year.
Sancho suprised his breakaway companions and won the stage.
I ended on 4th place totally devastated. Atleast I showed my self in front of my home fans.
Stage results:
1 | Hugo Matos Sancho | LA Alumínios - Antarte | 4h07'03 | 2 | Ricardo Jorge Correia Mestre | Carmin - Prio | s.t. | 3 | José Isidro Maciel Gonçalves | Onda | s.t. | 4 | Rui Alberto Faria Costa | Movistar Team | + 3'11 | 5 | Bruno Antero Moreira Lima | Onda | + 16'25 | 6 | Manuel Antonio Leal Cardoso | Caja Rural | s.t. | 7 | Domingos André Maciel Gonçalves | Onda | s.t. | 8 | Bruno Matos Sancho | LA Alumínios - Antarte | s.t. | 9 | Edgar Miguel Lemos Pinto | LA Alumínios - Antarte | s.t. | 10 | Nélson Felipe Santos Simões Oliveira | RadioShack-Nissan | s.t. |
I have another free month (without racing) but I have to start working my ass off on my bike as Vuelta starts not even 2 months from now. I will have some preparation race. And of course I will ride also Classica San Sebastian. Which I´m really looking forward to. Ok I´m really tired now.
Seeya soon

What?!?! I was simming Tour de France and game just crashed. I was like ok I will start it again. But there is not my save! when I clicked load last saved game nothing happened so I went to normal Load game and there wasn´t my carreer. I went to the folder with saved games. The save was there but .cdi has 0 kb... I don´t know what to do now. Is it possible to repair it?
I have backups of the save but is after Milan-Sanremo... I wanted to make backup after I sim this break... I don´t know what to do... I don´t feel like playing it again from Milan-San remo.. sorry if this is the end. |

Vuelta Ciclista a Burgos stage 1
Spoiler I switched difficulty to Extreme
Finaly! My first race after more than 3 months. I´m not in the best shape but I will get there I know it. We have 2 new young riders in our squad. One from Russia and one from Portugal! I finaly can talk to someone with my mother language. Young cyclist from Russia is great sprinter he is 22 years old and he will is participating in this race to get to form before Vuelta. He has just got to team and is racing his first GT in his first year of profesional cycling how good is that huh?
But to actual race. We sent pretty good squad here. With me and Cobo we have to possible GC winners. I´m wrote as a leader but cause I´m out of form we decided that I will be main helper for Cobo. Here is rest of our squad:
4 riders got away from the pack. Sergio Paulinho was one of them.
As nobody was willing to chase we went to front.
As we jump to only KOM points of the day the BOD is only 2 minutes in frot of us.
Omega Pharma and Lotto took over the pace and droped a lot of riders.
Wind was really strong. And took it´s toll.
I was the only one left with Cobo.
Geraint Thomas must have had a great they as he went full speed right in to the wind.
He soon caught the original BOD. But pack doesn´t gave them any chance at all.
I couldn´t resist longer to strong wind and high pace of the peloton.
I had to leave Cobo to his own fate.
With 3kms to go there were no sprint trains. It was every men for himself.
Cobo was badly placed at the back of the pack.
But with big jump he passed 10 riders and suddenly was in fight for win.
He passed Nicky Sorrensen. And in front of him only Enrico Gassparoto, Fabbian Wegmann and Kolobnev.
Can he win this stage?
Unfortunetly No! Kolobnev won first stage of Vuelta a Burgos and thus took the leaders jersey.
I ended with second group 2,08 behind on 23th place.

Rui managed to give a good support to Cobo today. And glad that everything was sorted out, too. |

I also wanted to ask you that if you want reports of Vuelta a Burgos like this (normal) or just fast recap of what happened as Rui won't do much here. I'm also eager to play Classica San Sebastian and of course Vuelta. So what do you think? Faster someone answer me faster we can contiue.
