The people in charge down there has more or less unlimited money. You can do basically anything with that.
I'd still prefer a course that includes a plastic copy of Cauberg over a pan flat sprinters' circuit race inside Doha.

Yeah probably is that. Why that money can't be in my country? We need it, or in a while just to open Internet we need to spend money. |

I've seen the Tour of Qatar. I yawned. Might just skip watching the 2016 worlds.

Some stages are actually fun because of the wind. If they make the race point to point instead of a circuit, it could be very good, though it'd be completely dependent on the wind. But yeah, pan flat Worlds = bad.

I think only Cav, kittel and Greipel are happy with a WC in qatar

Hopefully the UCI will decide that teams can have a maximum of 5-6 riders, as with the Oympics. Then it will be more difficult to control the race, and breakaways will have a chance.

So stage 15 of the Giro has officially been unveiled at Interbike in LA:

That's right: A summit finish on Galibier via the Telegraphe... In the Giro. I'm excited already.

Apparently trying to one up the Vuelta.
I do prefer the Galiber from the non-Telegraphe side though... |

Its a good lookng stage and while hard its not like the Galibier is not like that Brutal Vuelta stage, have to agree the other side of the Galibier is the more exciting climb

Lautaret ? From Bourg-d'Oisans it barely has any significant percentage, but it's long as shit. From Briançon I read or heard it's more interesting, but barely (still long and smaller percentages).
The final part (actual Galibier) is interesting though, 8 km with 8 to 12 percentages, the last km being the toughest. |
