It seems to be true. The Spanish Cycling Federation has confirmed that the B-tes is negative. Only UCI needs to confirm it. |

sure. the only reason I'm not jumping on the bandwagon right now is that there's a chance this might turn out like the Kashechkin B-sample. all a rumour started by the Kazakhstani media.

Mayo's B-test ... negative As said before, the longest you wait to EPO test a B sample, the most likely it is that it will be negative. Remeber that red powder riders put on their fingers before peeing to make EPO disappear, there were riders with no endogen EPO (natural one) at all. Cleaner than clean. 8)
I don't know if that's case here, but that could well be.
Mayo is another Marion Jones now. Unfairly spoiled because of a badly conducted EPO test. |

I thought Atom was Colombian. so does this mean they now have a spanish sponsor or that they're going all-spanish (riders and all)?

Actually, the team is (and was) based in the Basque Country. They will be probably getting a Colombian license again, but the team is ours.
@ Crue: Why? |

With Spain's attitude towards doping I don't really love the fact that so many teams are from Spain. But that's just my opinion |

So tell me how many (not much, sorry ) doping cases were found among Continental teams last year.

Spanish teams riding in Spain, Portugal, Italy and those kind of races .. yeah, wow, the possibility of getting caught is huuuuge. I mean, look at Relax - GAM. Don't tell me that team is clean.
I admit, though, that I don't have any evidence for my opinion -- but it's still what I tend to think. That Spain isn't really interested in doing anything about the doping problem. In some way, The Operation Puerto clearly shows that. |

News about Iban Mayo: UCI had denied that there's a negative test - it's a, "inconclusive test", not negative. |

I know a couple of guys who rode for the junior squad of Maia-MSS. from what they tell me, it's every single portuguese and spanish team they've come into contact with. take that for what it's worth

It's more or less perceived the same way from here...
I know French continental teams are not angels either, but I think Spanish CT are about the worst bunch of dopeheads riding around. |

remember a few months ago when a few representatives stormed out of a meeting between the teams? Holczer said it was because a representative of a spanish team said to them all candidly "yes, we dope all our riders. what's wrong with that?".
on a side note, the spanish teams present were Saunier, Caisse and Relax

Also Cassani told the media he saw Rasmussen training in the Dolomited while he was expected to be in Mexico, and some people criticizing here did not give Cassani's words any value. |

that is the kind of double standard that very much annoys me.
as an example, most times when there's news of a positive test, there are immediately posts saying it has to be a mistake, it can't be true, etc. most of those are by fans of that rider/team, who at the same time are quick to jump on any shred of evidence that one of their rivals might not be playing fair.

But it's reality. A Spanish sentence sounds sth like this: "From what people tell you, trust only a half".
(@ issoisso, who probably understands it better this way: "De lo que te digan, créete la mitad" ).

yes, sad but true. It's human nature to be a bit partial on some topics, but so blindly? it shocks me.
anyway, I just noticed something:
https://politiken.dk/cykling/cykling_f...312262.ece
is it me or are a bunch of those currently working for CSC?

What the heck are you doing on a Danish newspaper's website?
To answer your question: No. That's the list of Danish cyclists who have been "in contact with doping" = doped.

you completely misunderstood. I know what that is. I'm saying that quite a few of those guys are or have been at CSC, either as riders or in other functions. a few still are.
there's also a connection with the current T-Mobile squad
