GreenEdge can do everything right for about 200kms but when the final 3 or so come they freak out and Goss is left alone.

If I was Gesink I would abandon and aim the Vuelta. It would be a great test for him imo. |

The outsiders for the GC have just as much legitimacy and reason to be there as the potential winners of the GC. Money and sponsor's interests are at stake for all, not just for BMC and Sky.
As soon as one team wants to be in front, the rest of the top 3 wants to be in front. Then the rest of the top 10 wants to be in front.
Regardless of that, the psychology and state of mind needs to change in this herd of riders.

Why are you being so ridiculously stupid?
I have a mind very capable of thinking, thank you.
Obviously you don't, the GC teams are putting their riders at the front to protect them from crashes as was shown in 2011. If you look, its not the GC teams fault for causing the crashes because they are not happening right at the front of the peloton where BMC and Sky are sitting, they are happening in the middle of the bunch from riders who probably lose concentration for a split second or by other riders moving dangerously to try and get to the front. Sky and BMC have a good tactic as they are keeping out of trouble, its not them its the other teams and riders who have caused the crashes (and Farrar being dumb yesterday). So use your brain before posting stupid comments. |

Cav and Renshaw 6:02 back.

The GC now is a joke. Everyone who is still in the top 10 crashed just like today, but in the final kilometers. What's the point of a having a 3-km role to protect GC riders in a hectic sprint, if the peloton rides the entire race like it's the last 3 km already? |

Greipel actually didn`t even want to sprint after his crash. Obviously he at least wanted to try but surely wasn`t at 100% today.
I wonder to what extent that was forced. "So, lots of your competitiors are behind, you only really need to beat Goss and Sagan. Have a go"
I think he is still in the fight for the green jersey and with so many sprinters behind it was a good opportunity to get more points in a less difficult sprint. |

Sagan's bikehandling is out of this world. Watch the way e gets around Van Hummel after his chain snaps. Awesome.

Wiggins, Evans, Canc, Chavanel didn't crash I believe? They are in the Top-10 currently. |
