What an attack from Rodriguez! Such speed!
Sagan paying Nibali back for "stealing" Chieti bonus seconds I think.

It was kind of weird to see Purito keeping a gap in the flats.
Amazing work from Sagan for Nibbles too.

1. Rodriguez
2. Nibali
3. Di Luca
4. Horner
5. Nocentini
6. Poels
7. Kreuziger
8. Gatto
9. Scarponi
10. Hoogerland
11. Sagan
I think those were the ones in the first group. Riblon and Pozzovivo a few seconds behind.

Different team situation and Sagan probably would've answered that acceleration by Rodriguez and then some. He did so much work brininging back everything else on the last climb and very nearly Rodriguez too on the slight rise to the line.
Going to be a very interesting time trial. My money's on Nibali, he seems in the best shape plus I need the PCM$ to place any more bets next week... |

I hope you mean for the overall, not the stage win, because even with the form of his life, I can't see him beating Cancellara, who also seems to be in good shape.

Sagan is becoming a bit scary. By July 2015 I expect I might be a bit bored as he takes green, polka dot and yellow
Exaggeration but you get the point, arguably even more versatile then EBH and rising all the time. |

If Sagan keeps going like this, I think he might become a rider like Merckx. And perhaps as succesful as him too!

Seriously? Merckx won 5 Tours, 5 Giros, 1 Vuelta and 3 Paris - Roubaix. Sagan will never win any of those.

Don't answer. This is what happens with every guy who starts performing at age 20.
Hagen had some spectacular wins at very young age as well. On different terrain (remember the 250km+ giro stages). It's just hype
Sagan will be a star for years, but he is no Merckx. It's impossible to expect that because these are way different times |

Yeah, of course ha cant win so many different races, this is completly different times of specialising in cycling disciplines, i think he will never win anything big with mountains present (read GT), but with proper development we can have a best complete cyclist in decades, maybe the best of modern times ( times when doping is not tolerated). I see him as the potential winner of San Remo (maybe even this year), ardennes and flanders classics, plus green jersey at the Tour (i think this is also the most probable of all challenges, he can come close even this year maybe).
I just hope that people will not put the unberable pressure on him ,he is very polite and humble person, it would be such sad to destroy this talent.

Soryr to Hagen fans, i dont want any flame-war, but i think he never came even close to the Sagan performances and potential (Sagan is also world champion on mountain bikes and vice- world champion in cyclocross).

My point was that Merckx could win anything.
Sagan is a great punchy-sprinter with a great future ahead of him in those type of races - could be perfect for the Ardennes classics.
But GT winner or Paris - Roubaix winner? I can't see it.
