Happy Birthday Pelli, just over 6 months for me to join you. What can you now legally do in Sweden?
I think it's worldwide that people can't drink until they 18 but can have sex at 16. I love this kinda stupid law Love the jokes from McIntyre about it.
Happy Birthday Pelli I am surprised you even were on the website today On such a day it's party and girls only Again, big happy birthday
That's untrue. At least here in Germany, you can buy Beer and other "lesser" drinks with 16. Only Longdrinks, Whiskey etc. are 18+.
Anyway, Happy Birthday Pelli!

I know, I was exaggerating for effect Had an English exam today Persuasive techniques, exaggerating for effect
I think i would be impossible to have this worldwide. In the Vatican the consent ( you can have sex ) is 12... They never changed it from 1930 laws
And think of Muslim countries and India

It's 14, like in Italy.

Isn't it nice when you can apply things you learnt in school/university directly to your real life?
And well, the Vatican has to make sure that all their priests behave legally when, uhm, engaging, uhm, with their boys...
Also, I recently read that in Switzerland, you can already become porn actor or prostitute at the age of 16. Interesting laws all over the world

In Lateran Treaty in 1929 the consent age is set at 12, in 2009 they uses current Italian national law and it came back to 14. Point made, almost every country will have different law in some ways and so my precious statement was totally hyperbolic
Btw, when I use this icon - 90% of times I am not being sarcastic, but use it as I prefer it to the smiley one. I just though I let people know
Edit, lol at Suiise I'd love to live there

Good not to be the only person thinking that And yeah, that icon represents sarcasm in best way. I never thought 'sticking out tongue' icon was meant to sarcastic Well I kinda knew it wasn't...
Gustavovskiy, that's the part of effect yeah. I guess you can call it obsession with smileys really
They add some nice visual emotion to a pretty bland text of words

I usually lack the use of smileys because of overdose of smileys on MSN in the past. (i'm talking about begin 00' years, when MSN was THE communication method).
As a result people usually misunderstand my posts and I get a lot of people angry haha! |

Except for when they understand them. Then they get REALLY angry.

No then they just get confused.
Just like when they meet me in real life. Always get to hear I'm so much nicer to hang with than they ever imagined.

Wow, thanks everyone. No girls unfortunately valverde, but it was still a good day.

Funny you're 16, I expected you to be a few years older.
Which is a big compliment for your English teacher
That's very nice to hear, although credit should definitely not go to my english teacher. She's possibly the worst teacher I've ever had. Barely speaks English, and when she actually does, it's far worse than me and most of my classmates.

In Sweden, it's actually just 15 for having sex. From today I can also legally start practising car driving and start my own company.
Will have to wait two more years before I'll be allowed to buy alcohol in restaurants and bars, and all the way until I'm 20 before I can buy it stores. That's kind of screwed up, no doubt.

This is story with English teachers in foreign countries. They got the grades and all, but some weren't even in England/USA once. They have no clue whatsoever about the culture and more importantly about the accent and usually are very useless ( that's my experience )

No, English teachers know English culture very well. Fish and chips, they drive by the wrong side, they measure distance and weight with wrong units, etc.

The important thing is that you all learn English, so that none of us natural English speakers have to learn any of your languages

Who cares about the nationality of the English teacher? My one was German, but there´s no doubt he was coolest teacher i ever had. I could tell hundreds of stories about him, but i guess nobody would read them.
And of course congrats to Pelli.
