geez...everyone takes this fantasy comp a bit serious eh? all i was on about was all justin ever does is whinges. i havent seen one positive comment from him yet. you see...here in australia...such fantasy comps are legendary amongst mates to compete against each other, one in good nature and two to sledge the crap out of each other! especially if one is found whinging. its no hold bars. seems this fantasy comp is a bit serious with too much nerd pride at stake. sobeit...continue on

Nerd Pride?
I could make a stereotype joke as to why everyone in Australia "sledges" each other, and it doesn't happen anywhere else, but I'll hold back
Eh tough guy?

make your stereotype joke if you wish valverde. it really wont bother me one little bit. i know you will be prepared to cop a canadian stereotype back at you...so as long as you are. but then what's the point. any country can sledge other countries. we all have our own ways and sobeit. sounds like we are a bit too laid back here in australia to joke around on this forum. maybe there should be a disclaimer up somewhere - no joking around in posts...keep all posts serious
crack a beer and have a laugh. lighten up eh
ps. yes valverde - nerd pride. see...the recent winner of the NRL fantast comp here in australia...there was an article about him and lets just say he ignored his wife and 2 kids for most of the footy season to dedicate it to fantasy land. he even admitted that he didnt go out with his mates because he couldnt stand to not be at his computer watching live scores while the games were on. so yes valverde...those who take it a bit too seriously would be classified as fantasy nerds. anyone who argues me there probably falls into that category and can relate to that quick story

I didn't want to waiste another post but since I feel the need to,
JD, I'm fine if you 'sledge' your mates in fantasy leagues, but frankly we aren't and in that case I don't like it if you start to insult me. If you see it as joking around then we probably have a different taste of humour I guess. I just think that if you really have a problem with my whining then you can either ignore it or if you really want to say something about do it differently but don't call me a crybaby or a 'fantasy nerd' lol. I can assure you I have other priorities especially right now.
Ah well atleast its good I guess you didn't take me as an assistant that probably wouldn't have gone very well

got that last part right. you would have got the sack quicker than whatever the record is for an NFL coach getting the sack
it does seem we and others have a different sense of humour. unfortunate really...cos i didnt even begin to sledge. nothing like fantasy comps here in australia. like i said...its sign up and then you put your pride on the line and with that comes a great deal of sledging! if you cant win the comp...then you best win the sledging. thats how it goes. perhaps we are made with thicker skin down this way. sobeit
by the way...i never called anyone a fantasy nerd and i certainly never insulted you. if you mistook it as that...thats on you not me. if you assumed the fantasy nerd story (true story) was somehow directed at explicitly you...well that is your call not mine. perhaps it is your inner self telling you something. just saying haha
so lets all move on shall we. i apologise to those that sledging is foreign. its simply no fun when ppl dont sledge back

Pff I can tell you it was pure coincidence I responded so fast cause I had to get up around that time And well yes you indeed didn't directly say that you were talking about me but i'm just going trough a shitty period right now and if someone then says something like 'he only cares for fantasy football' it seriously ticks me off.
And lastly I just think that in a competition like this where I only know the participants trough a forum that people can be easily offended by such sledging because no one really knows eachother like you know your friends. Ofcourse if I'd be doing a competition against my mates I probably would say some sort of stuff that you told me but I just just don't like it when people who are strangers to me start saying such stuff. Thats just personal maybe but as you said lets leave this be and continue talking about the league instead of this. I do warn you tho that if I drop to 0-4 this weekend I may do some more complaining about how sucky my team is

Looking forward to my game against Lanterne Rouge. I hope I can go 4-0 before Flacco's and the Ravens' bye week.

Tough matchup against the Hail Mary's. This game is for the division lead. It will be the closest match for me so far this season.

You probably will. The loss of Kenny Britt is really going to hit me in close games like this, Im relying on all of my team having good games now.
Too bad Flacco hasnt got a bye this week, with your reserve QB not even playing, my chances would be much improved!

Ok, I'm just going to throw this out there. I'm willing to listen to trade offers for any of my players, but please make sure it makes sense for both sides before you offer something. I'm not going to name any names to protect the guilty. If you are asking for a player that is currently in my starting lineup, and are offering players that if you had my team you wouldn't start either, than I'm probably not going to consider the trade. However, I do find it somewhat funny the offers that people come up with. |

Jones-Drew has gone down it seems. Should up your chances a great deal. Fortuneately Cutler hasn't exactly been productive

Opportunity ... being wasted. Cmon Cutler, only 1.88 points in half the game, get a move on! Throw a few TDs to Sanzenbacher!

Oh Arian I've missed you. Good thing I put in Bryant at the last second also, last week I put the wrong guy on the bench with Moore but right now it seems like I made the right choice.
Nice duel btw between me and larlotto, top 3 highets scores thus far and both our defenses (my BUF and his WAS) have earned alot of points thus far.

Well in some way you're lucky they're down, the Lions will have to keep putting it up in the air now.

And as it turns out. Jones-Drew not injured. Cutler, very shit. Congratulations on your 4-0 record

A week to remember! First time to break the 100 point barrier in a well needed win.

Got to love garbage time points, in my case Campbell-Moore TD with 34 seconds to go and no chance of winning.
Tentative congratulations to Justin on getting that first win. I'd almost consider not starting a QB to preserve the win, assuming the current score holds up for 2 more minutes.
Spoke too soon.
