@tsmoha: Yes, I like Radioshack as well but the squad is weaker than Omega so I will see if I am able to get the sam results. Thanks for the three banans as well!
@The Special One: There most be some kind of bug. Horner doesn't decline but I like that "bug". He will be an great helper for Philippe.
@cunego59: Thank you x2,but I forgot to mention that the jersey are not made by me

Why need a good team when you have Gilbert? He can do it, with or without team!

The best, and most promising, 2014
Best riders, sorted by average:
Alberto Contador is the cyclist with best average in the world but according to last years CQ.Ranking, the best rider is Philippe. Stats are only numbers...
Best Flat riders:
The flat is dominated by belgians and one lonley swiss. We also have some young guns here such Maes (27 - Rabobank) Kump (25 - HTC) and Hagen (26 - Euskaltel!) and good old wheelsucking Filippo Pozzato (Liquigas).
Best Climbers:
Alberto Contador (SaxoBank) and Andy Schleck (Katusha) are the two best climbers in the world but once again, this is only stats. Last year, Schleck won Tour the France and was 2nd in Vuelta a España while Contador had an quiet year. Giro winner Kruijswijk (Omega Pharma) and several other riders are right behind them.
Best Puncheurs:
Philippe Gilbert (RadioShack), Ryder Hesjedal (Rapha) and Alejandro Valverde shares the 1st place as the best puncheur. Gilbert and Valverde are better sprinters than Hesjedal though.
Best time-trailers:
Gustav Larsson may won the Worlds but Tony Martin (Veranda's Willems!) Luis Léon Sánchez (Leopard), Fabian Cancellara (Leopard) and Dominique Cornu (Donckers Koffie) are the best time-trailers hunted by 25-year old Adriano Alori (Farnese Vini)
Best prologue riders:
Prettymuch the same riders as the best time-trailers. However, we also have an young Taylor Phinney here (23 - Rapha).
Best cobblers:
Tom Boonen (Quickstep) is the best cobbler followed by Fabian Cencellara (Leopard). Philippe is in the top of the list but still far away from Boonen, if he not have an amazing day!
Best Sprinters:
Tyler Farrar (Liquigas) Edvald Boasson Hagen (Euskaltel) and Mark Cavndish (Rapha) are the fastest guys in the world. Andrea Guardini (Colnago - CSF) is only 24-years old but already one of the best sprinters!
Best contracted u23 riders:
Lightining fast Luca Wackermann is the best u23 rider with an professional contract, sorted by average. Omega Pharma talents Medved and Pauly are also here but I can't spot any rider from RadioShack!

When I came home from my holiday I relised that PCM is the best thing to do when you want to relax and recover, so I will keep this stroy going, may not as frequently as before but I will update when I feel for it.
Is Philippe ready for yet another season?
Aged 31, Philippe enters the 2014 season in new team colours. After 6 season in Marc Madiot's FDJ and 5 years in Omega Pharma - Lotto he joined RadioShack this season. He will lead the team in the cobbled an hilly classics. 3 years ago, in 2011, Philippe was the best puncheur in the world and he won the Ardennes triple. His goal is to win this triple once again, but can he really do that? 2012 was one of his worst years with only three wins (1 stage and GC Paris-Nice and Brabantse Pijl). 2013 was better, he was probably the best rider during the whole season and won big races such Mlano - San Remo, Amstel Gold Race and Paris - Tours after stunning attacks. However, he was 3rd in Fleche Wallone and in Liége he was 2nd, beaten by Alejandre Valverde. Valverde, who 5 months later was the only one to beat Gilbert at the World Championships. Nevertheless, Philippe is not young and promising anymore, there is new hungry riders out there. Will he ever make the triple once again?

Sam Bewley is an young an talented kiwi who likes to ride prologues and time-trails. Will ride the Giro this year.
Marcus Burghardt is Philippe's most important domestic in the cobbled classic but he could be an great helper in the Ardennes as well. Amazing on the flat, could be used as an lead-out man.
Mikaël Cherel will be an important helper for Philippe on hilly races and could work as an lead-ot man for Philippe as well, since he is an fast sprinter. His goal this year is to be in the top 10 at Paris-Nice.
Simon Clarke is another helper for Philippe. This australian is an good climber who prefers shorter hills.
Paulo Coimbra is an young Portoguese. Hemay looks promising at the first sight but his potential at the coobles is limited. However, he will be able to help Philippe at the first selections.
Hillary Cornell is an talented stage-racer from USA. The next Armstrong? No, probably not. He will more likley develope into an great helper in the mountains.
Marc De Maar si the NC champion is Netherland Antilles nad an great helper on the flat but he good do some great work in hills and on cobbles as well.
Philip Deignan is an climber with huge potential. However, he is already 30 years old but he still has some good years left and I am almost sure he takes an top-3 in one of the Grand Tours. This year he will go for the Tour and the Vuelta
Armand Deldaele is 24 tyears old and has alredy one a stage at the Tour. This year, he returns to France in July for the White jersey!
Ryan Eastman is an young american sprinter. He could develope into the next Farrar or something like that but he will never be an dominating Cavendish.
Denis Galimzyanov is our 2nd best sprinter. He is an powerfull russian who will try to take an stage at the Tour or the Vuelta
Philippe Gilbert the man, the myth the legend! I don't need to say anything else.
Chris Horner is old. Luckly, Horner is an great cyclist too and an important helper for Philippe in the Ardennes.
Brad Isaacson is not an good flat rider, or fighter, or climber, or sprinter. He is an decent time-trailist and he is only in the team because of an slly misstake by the scouts.
Wilco Kelderman is an talented cobbler from the Netherlands. Even though his age (22 years) he could be an important helper fo Philippe in the classics already.
Ben King won the Amercan Championships in 2010 and that's why he still has an contract with RadioShack. He could to some work at the flats but don't expect more than that.
Robert Kiserlovski is our leader for the Giro but he will ride the Vuelta as well to see what he can do. He is an great climber but an weak time-trailist.
Michal Kwiatkowski is an polish all-rounder. He can climb an sprint well, but he is best at time-trails.
Kevin Labeque is an talented climber from France, only aged 22 years. He wiil be an important helper for Philippe this year but in a few years he will lead the teamo his own.
Alexandre Pliuschin is an great domestic on cobbled and flat races. He is an good rider to put into an breakaway as well.
Enrico Rossi is our main sprinter and some of you may remember him from the Giro last year when he won the Points jersey. If you've won an point jersey at an Grand Tour, then you're an great sprinter.
Mustafa Sayar is an Turkish sprinter with great speed and potential. Good be the next big thing and will help to develope the sport in is country.
Daniel Summerhill is an former cyclo-cross rider who have taken the step into the world of road cycling. He is used to rough roads which makes him to an god cobbler.
Christian Thomas is another useless young rider in this year's squad but he has some potential to develope into an great time-trailist. However, he doesn't belong in Pro Tour, yet.
Peter Velits is our best riders for the Grand Tours and he will be our leader at the Tour. He is an great climber an will hepl Philippe in the Ardennes. However, Philippe will have to payback later...
Juan Villegas is an good climber an he has some potential left. His big goal is the Vuelta and I am sure he will be a little bit better by then.
Anton Vorobev is an young and talented rider. He can print and handle the cobbles well and will help Philippe this year. However, in one or two years it will be the opposite!

Hi and Welcome to yet another season!
It was an long time ago since I wrote something on my own website, one year exactly. Then I was one year younger but now I am one year more experienced so I should be able to repeat my results, but to honest I think I am going to be even bette this year in RadioShack. This years programme contains three peaks: Ardennes Classics, Tour de France and World Championships. The biggest goal is to make the triple one again but I will also try to wear the yellow jersey for a cople of days and win the Wolrds after last years 2nd.
I hope you like RadioShack because I will stay here until 2016. I like RadioShack since they pay me 110,000 € every month! /Philippe Gilbert

Comment: Philippe starts his season in France with an 2-day race called Tour de Haut Var. End rounds up Febraury with Omloop Het Volk and Grand Prix Geraardsbergen, who replaces Kuurne-Bruxelles-Kuurne. GP Geraadsbergen is an hilly Criteruim in the city of Geraadsbergen and on each lap you will have to climb uphill the famous Kapelmuur. However, with Philippe's hard training programme he will have an easy start so don't expect any wins.
In March he returns to Paris - Nice, a race he won in 2012. Philippe wished to take part in Tirreno - Adriatico bur after an closer look at the profiles we saw that Paris - Nice suited him better and decided to send him to France. He will stay in France for another week and the Tro-Bro Léon who have been moved from April to March to gain some more interest from media. 3 days later he should be able to repeat last years suceess in Milano - San Remo. He will finish the month of March with E3 Prijs and Gent - Wevelgem.

Marc's Comment: "Philippe's shape isn't the best but it's the same with the startlists. It could be good actually, Philippe could get an win and gain some confidence even though the lack of shape.
Tour de Haut Var
La Croix Valmer - Grimaud
This is Philippe's first race in the colours of RadioShack. It' an sunny day and it will be an hilly stage with an uphill finish that suits Philippe well.
Wilco Kelderman is in the breakaway today an they are allowed to gain an gap of 7'00 minutes before the bunch starts the chase with 90 kms to go. No chance for the break in other words, it will be an sprint today!
5 kms to go and the last members of today's break are caught. Marcus Burghardt, Simon Clarke and Kevin Labeque leads the bunch and sets an high pace to help Philippe.
Mikaël Cherel is in the front of the bunch when the sprint starts with 3kms to go. The road rises all the way to finish so Philippe will have to start the sprint early to avoid other riders who passes him.
Philippe starts his sprints with 1.5 kms to go and leaves his lead-out man Cherel and the rest of the bunch behind himself. It's not the most convincing victory by Philippe as he tires in the final meters but he stil wins his first race this year and takes the leader jersey!
Results - Stage 1
1 | Philippe Gilbert | Team RadioShack | 3h59'11 | 2 | Carlo Scognamiglio | Acqua & Sapone | s.t. | 3 | Yury Trofimov | Itera - Katusha | s.t. | 4 | Jérôme Pineau | AG2R La Mondiale | s.t. | 5 | Benoît Vaugrenard | FDJ | s.t. | 6 | Jérémie Galland | Saur - Sojasun | s.t. | 7 | Johan Mombaerts | FDJ | s.t. | 8 | Simone Ponzi | Acqua & Sapone | s.t. | 9 | Alexandr Kolobnev | AG2R La Mondiale | s.t. | 10 | Arnold Jeanneson | FDJ | s.t. |
[b]Tour de Haut Var - Stage 2
Draguignan
Could the season start any better for Philippe? He starts his second race of the year in the yellow leader jersey. It's not only the second race for Philippe it's the second, and final, stage of Tour de Haut War as well.
Simon Clarke is in the break today and takes 29 points in KoM classifications. 29 points is also enough to win this competition.
We are in the foot of the last climb with 16kms to go and ITT World Champion, Gutav Larsson leads the bunch with Marcus Burghardt and Kevin Labeque.
What could stop Philippe from attacking? The overall lead? I don't think so because he launches an attack in the final climb. There is 15 kms to go, will he make it or is he just wasting his energy?
Only one rider are close to follow Philippe and that's Alexandr Kolobnev (Ag2r). even though Philippe is far away from his best shape he looks powerfull and ready for another season!
10 kms to go and Kolobnev is 10 seconds behind Philippe. The bunch is 50 seconds behin Philippe so it looks like an fight against theese two guys.
It's now 100 % sure that Philippe will win the GC in Tour de Haut War because the bunch is not coming any closer. However, he will do everything to take the second stage as well.
Alexandr Kolobnev wins the stage and Philippe is 2nd. The bunch is 1'02 behind which means that Philippe takes the GC. 1 stage nd the Gc in the first race of the season, we couldn't have an better start could we? Yes, he could have won this stage too!
Philippe Gilbert wins Tour de Haut Var 2014!
Results - Stage 2

Omloop Het Nieuwsblad - Preview
The course fron Gent to Gent isn't to decesive or hard but in the beginnig of the season when everbody is looking for the right shape and the weather conditions are unstable it becomes hard. The sun could shine but the it could also be 3 degrees and rain.
However, this classic is one of the most unpredictable. Philippe have won here twice after breaking away. In 2011 Sebastian LAngeveld won over Juan Antonio Flecha after an breakaway in heavy rain. In 2012, Greg van Avermaet won the sprint in a group of 20th riders. Flecha was 2nd... Last year, 2013, Tom Boonen won after an late attack with Philippe Gilbert.
Last Year - Final Kilometers:
Spoiler
With only two cobble selections left it's time for Gilbert to make his move. The bunch is still big and no chanche for Gilbert to beat sprinters like Boonen and Pozzato. However, Boonen (Quickstep) is the only one who are able to follow Gilbert.
Gilbert and Boonen cooperates in the front. Matti Breschel (Katusha) is 20s behind and the back is 1'20 behind. This looks good!
The other favourites realise the danger in letting Boonen and Gilbert go and attacks. Flecha, Pozzato, Chavanel and Devolder are among thoose who attacks but no Cancellara.
Boonen leads Gilbert over the last cobbles. It looks like Boonen is the strongest today but Gilbert is a good fighter!
Finally Cancellara moves! Maybe the big suisse is suffering due the low tempature?
The gap is still big with 5kms to go. Gilbert and Boonen will probably hold off but what about Breschel?
Boonen waits and waits to start the sprint. In the last corner, with 1.5 kms left, he eventually accelerates. Gilbert is tired but he remembers Paris - Tours in 2009 when he bet Boonen in the sprint.
Nevertheless, Boonen is the strongest today and wins. Gilber is 2nd. " I was to tired in the end. The race was hard and so the weather. Congrats to Boonen but I will have my revenge later this season! What about Ronde van Vlaanderen?"
Breschel takes the 3rd behind the duo but the biggest suprise today is Adam Hansen who takes the 4th. "This was the day of my life" says Hansen after the finish.

Omloop Het Nieuwsblad
Gent - Gent 200km
There is plenty of attacks in the begining of the race and the break that is created is huge! 14 riders and they have an gap of 2 minutes.
Daniel Summerhill represents RadioShack in the break and he is one of best cobblers. He shows his ability to handle the cobbles and rides away from the break at the first selection.
The bunch is on the first cobbled selection, where Summerhill rode away from the break. However, not much is happening in the bunch and Philippe follows without any problems.
Rabobank sets the pace. They have an impressive team this year with Vermeltfoort, Maes and Maaskant. Who is their leader today?
Three other riders joins Summerhill. The names are: Marko Kump (Highroad) Fabio Polazzi (Quickstep) and Wim de Vocht (Landbouwkrediet). Both Kump and Polazzi are better cobblers than Summerhill so this is no good situation or us.
Rabobank works behind and with 60kms to go the gap is around 5 minutes up to the group with Kump and Summerhill.
Kump and Polazzi shows their strenght and Summerhill drops with de Vocht. They can go all the way from here!
Burghardt and Vorobev works for Philippe and after an hill he is given an gap! Without any attack he gains 40 seconds with 30kms to go.
The gap is around 1'00 minute before the other teams starts to chase Philippe. He is caught but he still have energy left since he never really attacked.
Sky takes the responsibilty to catch Kump an Polazzi.
Sky does an great work for their leader, Stijn Devolder, and with 20kms to go it looks like Kump and Polazzi will be caught.
Kump and Polazzi are caught. Sky continues to work as the last cobbled selection comes closer.
Devolder doesn't wants to make his helpers disapointed and attacks over the last cobbles. Philippe is tired and we really don'y know why, because of the "attack" earlier or his lack of races?
Philippe drops the front group with 5kms to go. He will not win today or make it to the podium. He will not even be in the top-10. What an shame.
John Degenkolb (Leopard) wins Omlopp Het Nieuwsblad by outsprint Johan van Summeren (Omaga Pharma) who is 2nd in another cobbled classic.
Philippe is given some help by Burghardt in the final kms and finishes as 18th. That wasn't what we had expected but Philippe is still an human after all.
John Degenkolb wins Omloop Het Nieuwsblad 2013!
