Still a better chance than Napolitano Wink I think thanks to Napolitano doing absolutely nothing at all, I'll drop down out of the top 5 tomorrow then bring on the mountains Grin

It looks like it might come down to who Androni has picked as their leader. Serpa is placed higher now but Rujano looked good yesterday with his top 10 placing. Though given that he is 5 minutes behind he might just be stage hunting.

Up 20 spots from yesterday(22). My team is mire structured for the mountain stages. Only disappointed in Machado so far and very pleased with Petacchi, Scarponi and Kreziger, but they were all expected to perform so...
My team took a blow with the loss of Fabian, but it's only a game

from 32 to 24 thanks to yesterday's stage - yay. Bit annoyed with F. Duarte giving up - that means I now have two non-racing riders (Duarte & Kessiakoff).

I hope that Antón and Navarro can start scoring today. Navarro has saved energy the whole first week so I hope to see a strong Navarro today.

Choosing Cavendish and Bak will prove to be my downfall. I'm slowly falling through the ranks :-P (13 now)

It's good fun anyways Smile Hoping for a stage win from Garzelli at some point, and the Contador/Le Mevel/Löfkvist/Pinotti combo will at least provide me with some stable points. All is not lost yet Pfft

I will totally fail in this Giro. ;(
Except of Contador and Kreuziger all climber don`t have their best form: Pinotti, Pozzovivo, Scarponi, Machado and also Lövkvist won`t give me that many points in hte mountains I expected.

I wouldn't completely write off Pinotti. He has that special "diesel-engine" method, which always causes him to lose time in the first real climb of any race.

He may still come back Smile

I only regret chosing Purito instead of Kreuziger. Time will tell, though.

I was expecting more from Pinotti, but I hope he can still perform in the final time-trial. But I'm in the top-10, doing better than I expected. Pfft

Todays stage was the start of my downfall. My last minute change of excluding Contador to make room for Scarponi and Machado looks like a horrible decision Pfft

Judging by the teams in the top 8, it looks like it will be a tight competition for the overall crown.

I banging my head now I didn't pick le Mevel. It was him or Kruijswijk and Rodriguez. And now Rodriguez is out. But I am doing ok so far.

I moved up 5 places thanks to Contador today, but I'm still very angry at myself for picking Navarro instead of Le Mevel. Also, Löfkvist, Pinotti and Machado all has disappointed a lot. It was a real pity that Duarte got injured. He was looking strong and would probably have given my team some more nice points.

Im glad I picked Cataldo, I've always liked him but of course picking Stetina over Le Mevel wasn't smart. I wanted the Garmin team leader because I thought/hoped they would win the TTT.

Yeah, I had Le Mevel in my team too, but decided to spend most of my points on Menchov and Rodriguez. Add that to a near invisible Sella, Visconti and Cardoso and it's obvious why I'm almost last in the rankings.

I'm looking good to gain quite a number of points in the next couple of stages just based on position in the overall. 1st, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 8th and 15th. Should be an interesting week.

And yes! Napolitano scored 1 point! The 8 points I spent on him feel justified now!

Pretty pleased with yesterdays result:

1 Alberto Contador
3 Stefano Garzelli
9 John Gadret

And also Bakelandts still seem to be able to go for something like top 15 GC, which was why i chose him... I'm very dissapointed in Domenico Pozzovivo and Marco Pinotti though, and I couldn't have known that Tyler Farrar would abandon, and that the best Cavendish stage would be neutralized, so I'm somewhat OK by those choices still. It was a gamble. I'm moving slightly back towards top 50, but in the end I'll be happy with top 40.
