Thank you alla! I am really happy with Steegmans! Next goal is the win in Roubaix Well, I think another Top10 would be perfect...
@Roturn
Well, of course it is not to realistic that such a big group comes in first, but your version is way better than the one from Cyanide. Great work
5. March
Volta Ciclista al Pais Vasco
The Tour of the Basque Country (Spanish: Vuelta Ciclista al País Vasco, Basque: Euskal Herriko txirrindulari itzulia) is an annual cycling stage race held in the Basque Country, Spain, in April.
The first race was held in 1924, but between 1935 and 1969 the race was not held. However between 1939 and 1969 similar races were organised. The race is mentioned and described in Ernest Hemingway's novel 'The Sun Also Rises'. It is one of 24 races that make up the UCI World Ranking calendar.
The first winner was Francis Pélissier from France. The first winner of the 'modern' Vuelta al País Vasco (1969) was Jacques Anquetil. The most successful rider in the Vuelta al País Vasco was José Antonio Gonzalez Linares, who won the race four times in 1972, 1975, 1977 and 1978. Winner 2009: Alberto Contador (ESP)
RadioShack: The have two leader here, Andreas Klöden and Chris Horner. Tiago Machado also can be ride for himself, but maybe he have to help in the mountain stage. Daryl Impey is our sprinter, he will try to get Top-10s in the two flat stages. Ben Hermans, Matthew Busche, Dimitry Muravyev and Fumiyuki Beppu are helper.
The opposition: A very strong startlist. Top favourite of course is the vegeterian Alberto Contador, but the Schleck brothers, Sami Sanchez, Denis Menchov and Roman Kreuziger are also able to win here. Also not to be underestimated are the former TDF-Winner Carlos Sastre and Óscar Pereiro.
Not much strong sprinter here, but we can count on Lucas Sebastien Haedo, Tom Leezer, Chris Sutton and Kristof Goddaert. Also interesting could be a puncheur with good sprint abilities like Peter Sagan.
Stage 1: Zierbana - Zierbana, 145,4 km
It started already tough, we have to look that we do not already lost time.
Team goals:
- No time loss (Klöden, Paulinho, Horner)
Favourites: Alberto Contador, Samuel Sánchez, Andy Schleck, Damiano Cunego, Fränk Schleck. My tip: A good sprint-puncheur will win today, maybe Damiano Cunego.
Other attackers win the mountain sprint at the Alto de Cobaron, but the pack set a high pace, nobody came away.

6. March
We heard a really intersting rumour: It seems that HTC-Colombia will try to sign Hincapie!
Robert Gesink announced in the magazin that he want to compete at the tour de france and win there!
All PT-Teams will compete at the Tour de Romandie. 8 teams asked for a wildcard: Acqua & Sapone, Androni Giocattoli, BMC, Bbox, CarmioOro, Cervélo, Miche and Vacansoleil.
Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco Stage 2: Zierbana - Viana, 218,1 km
A few hard hills today, especially the Alto de Orduña, but probably, most of the sprinter will survive and fight for the victory in a bunch sprint.
Team goals:
- Top 10 (Impey)
- No time loss (Klöden, Horner)
Favourites: Tom Leezer, Robert Förster, Anthony Geslin, Kristof Goddaert, Martin Pedersen. My tip: Anthony Geslin. He is the best puncheur from the sprinters which compete here and should survive the hills better than the other.
At the Alto de Orduña, finally we had the break of the day, including Fabio Felline (Footon), Aleksejs Saramotins (Colombia), Laurent Lefèvre (Bbox), Marcos García, José Antonio De Segovia (both Xacobeo), Diego Ulissi (Lampre), José Luis Roldán (Andalucía) and Stijn Vandenbergh (Katusha).

Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco Stage 3: Viana - Amurrio, 181,1 km
Quite flat stage, easier than yesterday, but not a flat finish. Another good chance for a sprint-puncheur!
Team goals:
- Top 10 (Impey)
- No time loss (Klöden, Horner)
Favourites: Anthony Geslin, Daniele Pietropolli, Damiano Cunego, Peter Sagan, Rubén Perez. My tip: Martin Pedersen looked strong yesterday and should be able to get another victory, even it is not a flat finish.

And a crash in the pack. No important rider here, expect Michael Rogers. Tony Martin and Michele Albasini let themself fall back to help their captain.
1700 m to the line, and the bunch sprint begins. Contador and Rodríguez in front.
Finally, Damiano Cunego could beat yesterdays stage winner Martin Pedersen. Unfortunaletly, Daryl was not able to get a Top10, finished 14th.

@stijndevolder13
It was a good finish for him and a deserved stage win, but it will be interesting to see if he can perform in the next stage as good as yesterday.
@FreitasPCM
Probably he forget it
8. March
Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco Stage 4: Murgia Zuia - Eibar, 151,7 km
The queens stage of this years edition. 4 mountains are to ride in the stage, and then the steep final up to Eibar. And with rider like Contador, the Schlecks, Sánchez etc., we can expect an exiting stage!
Team goals:
- Top 10 (Horner / Klöden)
Favourites: Andy Schleck, Alberto Contador, Samuel Sánchez, Denis Menchov, Fränk Schleck. my tip: It is hard to bet a winner here, but after seeing that he get already a second place on the first stage and he have the home-advantage here, I think Samuel Sánchez win.
And here the breakaway, with José Luis Roldan (Andalucía), Rémy Di Gregorio (FDJ), Rodrigo García (Xacobeo), Pedro Merino (Footon) and even big names, TDF-2008-Champ Carlos Sastre (Cervélo) and TDU-Winner 2005 Luis Léon Sánchez (Caisse D'Epargne).

Joaquím Rodríguez (Katusha) 1
Here Rodríguez after an attack. A little gap for him, but the peloton caught him later.
Ryder Hesjedal do not give up and accelerated another time.
And that is the situation, 5 km before the finish.
With 3 km to go, the pack caught the breakaway, and Joaquím Rodríguez decided that it is time for an attack!
We get in the deciding phase of today's stage! Contador and Sánchez attack!
One kilometer to go. Sánchez, Contador and Rodríguez are away and fight for the victory today! In the pack, Cunego accelerated, with Chris Horner at his backwheel.
At the end, my tip was right! Sámuel Sánchez can beat Rodríguez and Contador, a perfect day for Euskaltel, winning a stage on their home race.
Cunego started to sprint, with Horner at his backwheel, and at the last meters, Horner accelerated and beat him! Even better: They get a time gap of 11 seconds of the peloton!

The best 3 spanish climber demonstrated today how good they are. A bit weak the performances from the Schlecks and Menchov, none of them had attacked during the whole stage. A surprise today was Damiano Cunego, I did not expect him so good in a mountain stage. He seems to be in shape for the hilly classics. And of course Chris Horner, he beat today guys like Antón or Hesjedal and had a good chance now for a Top5 in the GC.

Thanks! I did not expect him as fourth, I am very satisfied. Maybe Klöden is a bit weak, but he is not really in shape and more a Co-Leader here.

Vuelta Ciclista al Pais Vasco Stage 5: Eibar - Orio, 170,5 km
It will be an interesting stage. Too hard for sprint specialists, but probably to easy for the puncheurs and climbers, so we can expect a sprint of a bigger group. Another chance for a sprint-puncheur.
Team goals:
- No time loss (Horner/Klöden)
Favourites: Damiano Cunego, Peter Sagan, Daniele Pietropolli, Rubén Pérez, Anthony Geslin. My tip: A hilly stage, but a flat finish. Damiano Cunego won already one similar stage here and is able to get another one.
