And he is only in the Vuelta for the training benefits. So they will proberbly ride for him in the begining regardless of his results. Then in the second and third week. They will ride for Bos.
But, if Thor leads the points ranking coming into the second week he might finish the Vuelta. Who knows? Smile
Hushovd will get all the help he needs to get in shape and maybe win.
Its been a while since he finished the tour and he sure has been trained sprint and maybe prouloge so either will he sprint alone with his rivals or get help from Bos, i do not think they will ride for him (Bos) unless Hushovd quit the tour at the end, and rides Tour of Britain to sprint even more and be so good in sprint that he is good enough to be the captain at the Norwegian WC team.

The idea of quitting the Vuelta to ride the Tour of Britain for better Worlds preparation is ridiculous.

Also,
If races A and B overlap even slightly and you quit race A, you can't ride B. It's in the rules.

I'm not really sure how it's possible, but a slightly injured Baden Cooke has been replaced by Michael Mørkøv, who according to your list isn't a reserve.
And now, WADA has denied Mørkøv access to the Vuelta.
Still no mention of the reasons, but my guess is the above |

Makes perfect sense that he's denied. He had to have been on the pre-selection turned in to the UCI so he could be tested in advance.
Dumb, dumb mistake by Saxo Bank

They were never on the list of the race official website, so I'm taking that as true.

Taramaae is just completely exhausted after all the talk before the Tour. He is just big hype, like it's been with lots of Estonian riders, Mandri, Kangert and now Taramaae.
That guy lacks not only the physical strenght but a lot of mental strenght. He needs some serious help from a psychologist and he will see what he can do next year. |

Cervelo ARE riding the Tour of Britain.
https://www.tourofbritain.co.uk/_ns_ne...ews_id=108
Heinrich Haussler, a stage winner in the 2009 Tour de France, will lead the Cervelo Test Team at The Tour of Britain next month, in a six rider line-up that also includes home favourites Jeremy Hunt and Daniel Lloyd, plus last year’s third placed finisher Martin Reimer.
In addition to Haussler, Cervelo also boast another Grand Tour stage winner in Ignatas Konovalovas, who won the final stage time trial of the 2009 event, while double Tour of Britain stage winner Roger Hammond is expected to be called into the squad if he isn’t needed as a reserve for Cervelo’s Vuelta a España team.

*fails to recognise sarcasm*
You do realise Guido mentioned has trouble with his achilles, which also troubled him in the tour right? And he has already shown that he is strong enough mentally and physical to showcase himself in the hardest part of races like Paris-Nice. Mandri has an amazing ability to crash and break a bone every time he sees a corner approaching. His real level is high, but he hasn't showed it in almost two years because of injuries. Kangert is bouncing back after a hard time at AG2R and should likely be back as a pro either in 2011 or 2012. And I don't remember there being a big hype about him being the next Merckx or anything. |

I mentioned that in #227.
In fact, I had foreseen it (I'm quite proud of myself, to be honest ) |

Oh, sorry. I'm adding a link with the reasons, though.
To be honest, I just rolled down when I saw those long multi-quoted posts, so I couldn't see your post. |

Gøsh.
Just 2 days to go! Like last year the gc battle looks very wide open. I'm going for the following podium:
1) Nibali
2) Antón
3) Menchov
But I'll probably be completely wrong
EDIT: Hang on...I've just realised it's Friday, which means it's one day until the Vuelta starts...if Saturday does indeed follow Friday, which I'm not sure about anymore.
