Incredible Tour for French riders! Last time they had 6 stage wins was in 1997, thanks to Vasseur, Brochard, Virenque and others. More than six - in 1987: 7/27 won by French riders like Fignon.
And they're winning almost all mountain stages, nice to watch. It seems there has been an important decrease of the dope use, which allows sub-top mountain riders (who're actually punchers) to remain up front. That plus the trend they have to attack and the favourites to neutralise each other, and you've got it. Many stage wins. |

Barredo won the most aggressive rider prize. Normal, but I think it comes a few stages later than it should. |

For those wondering, that means: I'm a little bit smart.
Thor Hushovd was interviewed straight after crossing the finish line and answered that to the question:You said you were going to take it easy and rest today. |

Great win for the french again.
Sucks to see contador being boo'd, even thought i'm not his biggest fan. But good on him for staying composed.
I missed last nights stage so can someone tell me what the general consensus is here about the Schleck/Contador incident? |

Hushovd says that Ciolek did the leadout as a personal favour. |

Now the question is if Petacchi has finished the stage or has dropped out, or can someone confirm or deny this? |

Wow, Hushovd was really shocked about the accusations against Petacchi.

Tomorrow van Gerwen will announce if Milram will exist under another name or will be shut down, as Ciolek led Hushovd out, maybe Ciolek signs with Cervélo

I missed last nights stage so can someone tell me what the general consensus is here about the Schleck/Contador incident? There's no real consensus if you exclude fanboys of one of the rider or of their team.
Schleck attacked on the last mountain, so the race was supposedly on till the end from that moment, thus you can consider Contador didn't have to wait.
He rode on a stone that made his chain jump, so it was his mistake, and not just bad luck, he could have watched (ok, it's easy to say), so Contador didn't have to wait.
Now, benefiting from your opponent's bad luck, and exploiting it to the point of taking the leader jersey for him is not that nice either.
I think it's better to do like me, don't get an opinion, just look at facts and that's it. |

Contador being boo'd isn't good, but if he want's this to stop, he needs to show he didn't steel this jersey : he needs to attack and take more time on Andy to prove he doesn't need this to win.

PIERRICK \o/
I never doubted for a second he'd win............except before Barredo was caught
So, in short, for about 45kms

My analysis of the stage
The first 50km was good.
Then it was boring for 145km, but pretty scenery
Then the final 4.5km was good.

Completely correct
But I would say the beginning was very good

Wait, Contador got boo'd today as well? I can see it yesterday, even if I'm in two minds about it, but continuing today is a bit much (and I'm a Schleck fan, for those who haven't noticed).

You're right but I guess because he didn't try anything today, the public reminded him how he became yellow...

It's the French, they are that sort of crowd. Once they've made up their mind, they stick to it.
It'll pass by Thursday.
