What is BBM?

Blood Bag Monday. Common expression among cycling fans. Denotes the usual Tour de France rest days that always fall on monday where the teams go for a short ride, then stay in the hotel quietly transfusing blood bags.

Lance always improves massively after those days. Remember last year? Dropped like a stone the day before, right with Contador the next day.

Ah, Lance was pretty good before the so called BBM day as well. Prologue, Time Trials, TTT, attacks on the first day in the mountains.....

Fuck all who doubted Andy! He proved today he's the best climber.

and you are a <insert not so nice word here>..for example look at tour favorites list when Forum made a poll. Who is nr. 2 after Contador?
Who was clearly best man after Contador year ago?
We are not idiots to doubt about Andy abilitys.
Btw. Contador will win it after all...just relax.
Menchov to podium this time?..Finaly

Oh look, it's the guy who insults everyone.

Did you see the crashes? Anyone who saw them can easily see he's not hurt. No one would be hurt by that. He just doesn't have it.

And even if he was hurt, crashes usually affect you a lot more the day after, and especially two days after the crash. Evans crashed very hard, has a cut leg....and oh look, he's right there at the front of the peloton.

It wasn't the crash. It was chasing back that hurt Armstrong. He said it himself.

today made me think that..how lucky rider has to be. To win tour de France 7 times in the row.

And he has saddle sores, and he's crashed earlier in the race, and he's had a puncture, and there's wind, and it's hot, and there's turns in the road and slippery lines in the middle

The stronger you are, the longer you can be near the front. The longer you can be near the front, the more crashes you'll avoid.

It's no coincidence that the great dominators, the best stage racers of all time, avoided crashes almost all the time.

Gesink said, as this is his 1st real TDF mountain experience, that the level was incredibly high and not comparable at all to the Vuelta or any other race he had ridden before.

But after Navarro dropped off, it went better for him. I think Navarro killed almost all GC contenders with his ride today Shock

Everyone is ignoring Kreuziger again, so few words concerning him
I am really happy he tried to attack for the first time in three years at Tour and it is also clear that leaders are taking him very seriously (apart from community here that is not able to admitt he is a top 5 contender this year)
I hope he will continue like this and will try more attacks
And he was looking obviously stronger than Basso, the leader in Liquigas should be clearCool
Go Roman!

I am still ignoring Kreuziger..he has not finished GT 3 weks at the same level.
Abaout Basso..I am not shure yet..yeaah Kreuziger acceleration is better at any road, he is better TT rider. I realy hope that he can step forward this year. But let's wait real long climbs to decide.

Well just like you I do believe in Kreuziger, altho I think he might crack and have a "black day" at some point of this tour!

I like Rogers , he can't accelerate but he kept the pace with the favourites , it was clear that in the last 2 km he was toasted , hopefully he can snatch a top 10 .

Tell me my wise friend, have you ever ridden a bicycle before, and more importantly have you ever fallen of one while going 45 km/h? Judging by your post I would say no although it is more likely that you've got it in for Lance. Did he tap your wife or what?

Have you ever ridden a bike? Cause you fall if you try to go 45 km/h through a roundabout. You just can't turn hard enough to make it through.

Mate, I think you need to watch the incident again.

RadioShack to work for Leipheimer in GC, with Lance to go for stage win(s)?

Just my two cents

On Versus, they showed the crashed bike on top of the team car. The crash ripped the seat right off the post.

Lance was in good form for the Tour. Most of his problems occurred when he was in the front. F Schleck's crash on the cobbles happened at the front. Lance flatted when he was in the second group on the road. Also, here is a quote from Horner about yesterday's crash “Even where Lance crashed on the roundabout, he was at the front. I mean, he’s 10 guys back, it’s single file going into the roundabout,"
