Mapei is not impossible, I remember reading earlier this year that they were looking to get back into cycling. |

Because it's an almost certain guarantee of a good exposure and some noticeable successes ? I guess they don't mind the shady aspects, they're in for publicity after all.
Meanwhile, the powers for two more pyrenean stages are available on cyclismag.com . After his chain problem, Andy Schleck did 480 Watts during 5 minutes, and they (the favourites) had already been riding for 30 minutes at 410 W. Not too excessive, but still high. |

Wouldn't that be "I will be taking my talents to Luxembourg to ride with Andy and Frank" |

Here's a really nice piece about Dekker.

British rider Dan Staite (who races in for cycles dauphin(a very small british team) has been banned by UK Anti-Doping Agency after he tested positive for EPO and an aromase inhibitor at the Roy Thame Cup (not even Premier Calendar).

Meh, protecting his wins as clean is kind of predictable of him really. Don't know what to believe from a guy who already lied 4/5 times before, and even straight to my face, to make it more personal (that's still a bit different than lying in front of a tv set).
Perhaps he is telling the truth, but...this sounds a bit like the usual PR before riders make a comeback. "I made a mistake, I was stupid, I changed my life". Copied straight from the best.
Might help him in getting a new team though |

Isso and I were saying the exact same things just now on MSN.
It's fine that Dekker admits that he lied when he said he only doped during the Winter. It's not okay, though, that he denies doping during his major wins... And he still won't talk about who helped him.
Not that I really care - he wants to come back, and this still seems to be the only way to do so. |

.
As cyclingweekly says, his best result was 2nd behind Jon Tiernan-Locke in the Jock Wadley race. He rode so aggressively, and only just lost out to Tiernan-Locke, that John Herety (Rapha's manager) requested him to be targetted for testing - hence the random test in the Roy Thame, where, lo and behold he tested positive.
We'd all heard the rumours

Well during that time (starting in 2006) he trained with Jaksche, Hamilton, Rasmussen etcetera.
So there was plenty of good advice to get... |

Still waiting on the other positive. A british pro, supposedly.

Footon/Geox is apparently going to be co-managed by Locatelli.
I fear for the riders and the fans of the team. With Locatelli in charge, the riders will revolt against his slave driver mentality.
I'm also torn on how many positives a team managed by him might have. 5? 10?
With his youth team, riders were so doped up to the gills that they had amazing results. Then they get to pros and do nothing.
Remember Popovych? He was so high on EPO he won everything. Mountains, time trials, cobbles, hills, sprints even. Name it, he won it.
Then he turned pro where the controls were tighter.

I have just re-read all our entire history since last October (when you got all excited over adding me), and you never mentioned a positive test from any Brits.
