Specialized's sponsorship contract with Astana runs out at the end of the season. Contador, however, has Specialized as his personal sponsor. Therefore, it'd look weird if he was using any other bike than that.
That said, Specialized can extend its contract with Astana, new contracts with other teams can be signed, etc., etc. It's very far from certain that Contador joins Saxo. |

Omega Pharma - Lotto isn't interested in Kreuziger anymore, in the future they are going to put al their hopes for the grand tours on VDB.
They will spend their money on a big sprinter (greipel) and a train for him
this according to an interview with CEO Marck Coucke
If that is the team idea VDB will run as Evans did...

Contador says that at the moment he's leaning towards Astana.
I wouldn't be the least bit surprised that the moment the Tour ends and he's no longer afraid Vino will attack him, he'll stop saying that and sign with someone else. I also won't be surprised if he actually does sign with Astana.
He also says the Saxo Bank rumours "are just rumours"

if you focus on a Sprint train for the TdF you will not have enough good people to helping him on the mountains and in the GC.
And after this Tour I think he should look for a team which can help him in the GC.
Exactly the same as happened with Evans... |

Look at Evans his team now.. It was non-existant at Giro and not much better in tdf..
I'm sure lotto can make a team to have a decent lead out for Greipel and still have enough riders to support JVDB. They shouldnt try to rival with HTC & Garmin their trains, just focus on getting Greipel in a good enough position to compete..
( + its not like JVDB relied heavily on his team this tdf.. )
Something like Greipel Roelandts Lang LLoyd Aerts JVDB and 3 others should do. |

Telegraaf reports Luis Leon Sanchez now signed with Rabobank, a 2-year contract.
Rumours are Menchov will leave and they are going to build a team around Gesink. LL Sanchez will be one of the most important domestiques. |
