EA-Sony Ericsson 2010 Team Transfers
Hello, and Welcome to all. We are proud to present our 2011 squad today. With some of the best sponsors in cycling they have increased our team budget after a very successful 6 months. So now we would like to present our returning riders for next season ...
Plus Jimmy Licina
Now for the fun part. We would like to give a nice thank you for our new 8 riders for signing onto this very young team. As we try to make it into the Pro Tour next season. And here we go ...
Taylor Phinney ... one of the hardest riders to get a hold of. After finally getting passed his agent he saw what our team was turning into. And one big factor was that we were located here in the USA. After trying to get offers from USA Pro Tour Teams, he turned to us, and we are happy he did.
Steven Cozza ... After forking over 50,000 euros to Garmin, Cozza was happy to jump ship in hopes of being important rider here at EA-Sony and not a helper role with Garmin.
Jake Keough ... After seeing Keough win the Air Force Cycling Classic, he got on the phone right away. It took 35,000 euros to get United Healthcare to release their contract. But is a small price to pay for a future great sprinter.
Brice Feillu ... A growing star climber, brother of Romain Feillu, had a hard time parting ways with his brother. But he realized for him to get out of Romain's shadow, he had to create his own legacy. After repeating to him over and over again, that take part in TDF next year was our top goal. Brice said his goodbye to Romain.
Alexandre Pichot ... Another French rider, at age 27, he is going to provide valuable lessons to our young sprinters. And hopefully can win some sprints himself.
Fredrik Kessiakoff ... Larsson and Lovkvist pleaded to us to sign Kessiakoff. We barely got two words out over the phone before he said yes. Kessiakoff does take the highest wage of our signings, but also the highest AVG. And hopefully the best impact.
Matthew Hayman ... Adding a new country to our squad wasn't easy. And Team Sky made sure we paid a price, 40,000. Hayman will provide moral support for our next rider. And also will take part in many breakaways to earn a few more wins before he hangs up his wheels.
Leigh Howard ... Another sprinter is added due to our lack of bunch sprint wins this season. At 20 years old he took a risk not signing with one of the top Pro Tour Teams, and instead took a chance with this up and coming Team. And not only that, he took a pay cut to do so.
There are our new 8 riders for next season. And here is an overview of their stats.
Comments Away ...

Thank You, It took a while to decide on these 8 riders, but in the end they make our squad have much more depth, and more chances for wins.

I going to group stages together on a few posts, but since this is the first stage I thought I would make an exception just to show you how I'm going to post the results. For those that haven't read the whole story, our team is not in the field.

Update: I'm Back, been Playing Fifa 11 (Beating Valverde321 ) and celebrating the holidays with family. So its about time to release a few more Tour de France Updates, Stages 2-4 ...
If Cavendish keeps this pace up he is certainly going to have a chance at the most wins in a single tour. (And I'm going to run out of pictures of him in green )
Thats it for now.

Tour de Delta Stage 1 Report
Our Riders -
The first stage of a small 3 day tour in Canada. Larsson comes in as the favorite for today, also Peraud has a chance for a top 10. But being only a 2km ITT not much time can be gain. It is possible though to win GC with a win today because the other two stages are sprinter stages.
Peraud is our first rider to leave the gate, and by the end of the day holds onto 8th place, 8 seconds back.
Larsson, even in OK form (71 Fitness), never lets us down! Wearing his Sweden ITT National Championship Jersey, Larsson takes the win and the leader's jersey for tomorrows stage.

Interview - Gustav Erik Larsson
Q: Another Win ... Easiest win of the year?
A; Even tough the times were close, I'm not going to lie ... Yeah. Coming in I knew Peruad was probably going to be my hardest competition on this stage. And he just had a bad day. Now the hard part is keeping the sprinters away from my leader's jersey over the next two days.

Great start...if i hadn´t saw the race i would think(with such small gaps) that Creed,Veillux and others are really strong in TT.

Yeah, with such a short distance (2 kms) the outcome didn't produce big enough gaps for Larsson to sit back for the next two flat stages. Which also should open the door to the sprinters to take 1st away from Larsson with time bonuses. I hope to get stage 2 done by tomorrow .

Tour de Delta Stage 2 Report
Stage 2 is a 54km criterium in Lehigh Cement, Canada. With Larsson in yellow by a few seconds we are in charge of bring back any breakways today.
And breakaways there were ... chaos all over the road. but we keep our tiempo steady, and with 20kms to go everyone was in the peloton.
The pace kicks up as the sprinter trains form. Creating little room back deep in the peloton creating the first of many crashes ...
... And yes your eyes are right ... that is the yellow jersey.
Larsson gets cliped from behind and skids into the barrier along the side of the road. Lucky taking nobody with him. Peraud and Talansky take my orders to stay in the peloton and not fall back to get Larsson.
Larsson jumps to his feet as fast as he could, but the peloton was riding away, and so was Larsson's yellow jersey.
Peraud didn't have the energy to give Talansky a lead-out ... Hilton Clarke wins the stage ...
Gustav loses 4 minutes .

Interview - Gustav Erik Larsson
Q: What happened out there? And how do you feel?
A: I honestly don't know why a rider would come up from behind and "accidently" tap my back tire. Right now I wish I could hit the reset button on today's stage, but I have a feeling that it wouldn't matter because somehow I'd "accidently" crash again. What some teams do to win is beyond me. And to address the other question, my body is fine and I hope to take some of this angry out on tomorrow's stage ... Stay Tuned.
