First climb done,peloton is 2´08" behind...

Start of stage3,Pedersen in yellow and well protected...
...peloton starts to push hard right at the start...
..mainly because up ahead is Y.Popovych(RSH),T.Martin(HTC),Van der Velde(GRM),L.Augustyn(SKY) and a few mts in front...
..are M.Lloyd(OLO),Y.Talabardon(SAU),M.Corti(FOT) and T.Valjavec(ALM)..
..but after couple kms,peloton decides to let them go...
Popovych group join Corti group...8 riders in front now..
..after the top,peloton is 8´00" behind...
E1 reach half stage,peloton started to close the gap wich was 9´32" and now is 8´02"...81,3kms to go...
..peloton high pace downhill makes some riders to loose control and fall down..G.Marchante(AND),C.Castano(XAC),S.Chavanel(FDJ),C.Veloso(XAC) and G.Rasch(CER) are the unlucky ones..Xacobeo Team has a lot to do now...
..rest of the Xacobeo squad stays behind to help their leader..

To bad you had to run into Contador, Schleck, Nibali, Sanchez AND Valverde at this race. Very strong field.
Winning the KOM jersey would be nice though, so good luck with that. |

I agree with Porte, it is probably a too strong startlist for a Top10, but if you would be able to win the mountain jersey, that would be already a nice success! |

It´s indeed a strong field but top10(sponsor goal) it´s still possible...we just need to perform well next stages.

We decided to let Capecchi ride with peloton today,Mayoz will be the one to go out there and collect points to defend KOM shirt...
As peloton reach the top of third climb,E1 with P.Martens(RAB), A.Kuschynski(LIQ) and L.Y.Bak(HTC) is 6´12" ahead,E2 with M.Irizar(RSH) and L.Mangel(SAU) is 2´57" behind E1,Mayoz alone in E3 is 1´15" behind E2...
69kms to go...Contador falls down...A.Grivko(AST), M.Finetto(LIQ) ,J.Hoogerland(VAC),M.Golas(VAC) are involved too...Grivko gives up..
