No, it's not. What's far more interesting, however, is that you immediately jumped to the defence of.......the south africans and no one else.

I'm biased, I like the South Africans more, I can accept that. But also it's because the South African cyclists trying to make it in Europe naturally all went via Barloworld, they didn't really have much choice unlike say the Italians on the team.
To defend Hunter further, here is what he said about Ricco on twiitter:
Spoiler Just seen the Ricco news of his misses going pos for CERA.what a fuck head!! & he is gonna be allowed to race again.needs a smack I say!
Typically this is his response to doping on twitter but I can't be bothered to hunt back for more cases

But think about it objectively. Ricco was on a different team, him being positive can have no possible implications on Hunter. But Landis was a teammate, and the rest of Phonak were hardly spotless, so it is more within Hunter's interests to support him.

Yeah... that's why cyclists and teams always deny that their team mates dope.
I think he is just friends with Landis and hence doesn't want him to go to jail,

If he's friends with Landis than that is a logical reaction, altough Hunter seems a little strange to me. |

Volta ao Algarve: Casar is banged up after a crash. Steegmans is even more banged up. His helmet somehow flew off so he hit his head against the asphalt.

Didn't expect Cancellara to be in not-bad for so early. He had a lot of trouble with his training and injuries this winter.

This suprised me
7 Greg Van Avermaet (Bel) Omega Pharma - Lotto 0:01:19
Considering Greg is not near a good timetrialist what so ever. He might have trained on it tough, if he wants to win the Tour of Belgium. |

and what about this?
5 Artem Ovechkin Rusland KAT op 1'01''
With Van Avermeat I think it's just a case of being in better form then most riders, and no problems with TT equipment, being a not-near-good-timetrialist.

Hagen is in great shape already. I expect him to do really well in Omloop het Nieuwsblad next week.
Cancellara is definately not in good shape yet, but he'll be great in april, at least, I hope, we could use some more exciting cobbled classics than just watching Boonen and Devolder win again.
Hagen+Flecha (Sky), Cancellara, Ballan, Pozzato, the Rabobank collective (Langeveld/Nuyens/Boom), my hope is on them to provide more exciting cobbled classics |
