So your idea of justice is having a guy suspended because he was involved in Puerto, only to have a guy who's involved in two scandals (including Puerto) replace him?
Is it me or is that logic fuzzy?

Nope. My idea of justice is having everyone of them banned. That's impossible, with footballers and Nadal between them. Okay, then I lowered my standard of justice, and found Piti, because he's the only one that can be banned with the proofs we have (and the ones owned by Spain don't count, as they'll never be released). So, the ban of Valverde is justice, and leadership of Luisle only a bad consequence. A collateral damage as Bush II would say. |

Rebellin will try to prove his innocence. He claims there are several anomalies in the case, such as the fact that there are 7 positive samples attributed to him, while he only had 3 doping tests. |

Why aren't we all talking and freaking out about the blood transfusion equipment found in Astana's garbage bins during the Tour that several members of the team are going to be called to testify about?
According to the genetic profiling done on the equipment, it was used on seven different people (read: riders)

But it is really possible that ANY of them get banned? Because I'm kind of tired of talking about something that we all know (i.e. organized doping in Astana) and which has no relevance whatsoever because there aren't enough proofs to ban them with the WADA standards. |

There is enough proof according to the Le Monde report.
However will anyone get banned, nope.

Did you forget that the majority of the Astana line up in the 09 Tour, are now Radioshack?

But as always nothing will happen, but on the other side, the French hates Armstrong so it may happen. |

Given that, according to Kohl anyway, these teams are paying off labs to test their samples on the side so that they can find out what amounts of what substance can be safely taken at what time relative to when their doping controls will be. I'd think these teams would have no problem bribing people to get things done.
That said, why is there still damning evidence of doping being left in any old trash can? Why not pay someone at the local waste management plant to incinerate everything once you're done with it. Or any other way of disposing of this stuff that doesn't leave it accessible. I'd just think that someone would have caught on by now that your trash seems very likely to be searched. Especially at enormous events like Le Tour.

I think that shows how little the teams think of the UCI, WADA, and the AFLD |

Yes they are but I am hoping it is Contador and his "team" and not Radioshacks haha. But yes, the French would do anything to make their riders look better |

The majority of Contadors "team" is now Radioshack.

If we get a re-run of Puerto and guilt by association, then neither Radioshack or Astana should be in France next July. |

But of course they both will be. Radioshack will obvious be in because of Armstrong. The French hate him, but even Prudhomme knows it would really dumb, both politically and financially, to not let Armstrong in. Astana could conceivably be kept out for one of a number of reasons, but if that happens Contador will jump to either Quick-Step, or, depending on whether Valverde is riding, Caisse D'Eparnge |

Major misconception going on here:
The average french fan, like the average cycling fan, loves Armstrong.
Armstrong's prologue was by a huge margin the highest ratings the Tour got on french TV this year.

I should mention that it's going to be up to the french police. Because if McQuaid has ANY influence in this, he'll do all within his considerable powers to make sure nothing comes of this.
As usual.

Yeah, but the average french fan isn't deciding who is in the tour. The french media definitely hates armstrong for obvious reasons. I wouldn't say the Tour organizers hate him, I just think he perplexes them.
Armstrong may not have done much for the Tour in France and Western Europe, but he certainly helped pretty much everywhere else in the world. His fights with Ullrich were, I thought, boring as hell, but other people loved him, and its obvious what he did for the sport. They tried to basically repay him by making him the center of the race. Instead of trying to promote a lot of other things in the tour, it was just Armstrong, Armstrong, Armstrong. Because Armstrong is an ass, and thinks he is better than everyone else, he saw this, through some screwed up logic as, them trying to take advantage of him, plus with the goading from the French media, his usual, "if you're not with me you're against" mode kicked into overdrive, and he tried to push them back.
The best metaphor I can come up with is that you look outside your window and see some random guy is mowing your lawn. You go up to him, and ask him why. He tells you that he loves mowing lawns, that he couldn't for a while because of an issue, and that now he is just going around mowing lawns to catch up. You offer him refreshments, or maybe even a little cash for his efforts. He, in response, thinking you are trivializing why he is doing what he is doing, or something to that effect, responds by shitting in your lawn.
That is what Lance has done the last few years. Repeatedly shit in the face of the Tour de France and most of cycling in general. Some people (like me) hate him for it, some people love him for it, and the people he is doing it directly to are staring at him with a WTF look on their collective faces. |

Nice post deadpool.
In other news, Basically every time a race is "postponed a year" it means it's deader than dead and it won't come back. Fans tend to refuse to accept that, but it's a fact 99% of the time.
Remember how the Tour of Georgia was "cancelled but would no doubt be back in 2010"? cancelled again. According to the organizers it'll "surely be back in 2011".
Right.
