Thomaston - Rome
Second sprinters stage. Goal..to keep Steels in yellow.
When yesterday Vandborg fall was hit for Disco plans..today CSC have problems Gusev and Roberts are fallen and now they try chase down the peloton.
Even Sörensen and Pedersen come bacck to help..this is not looking good for CSC..peloton tempo is already high. In the finish line they lose almost 4min. we could say that CSC is out at GC top standings.
Sprint..Mertens is doing he's job and help Steels to Drapac Porche train..Steels decided to swich..this was wrong..he find himself totaly boxed (maybe it's time to throw a bottle). he's gona loose yellow today. Hamilton crashes..at 3km. to go mark and he looses 1'54..big hit for Tinkoff plans.
O'Bee takes a win and also yellow..Mertens 4th. now we see what Steels lost on he's swich.

Rome - Chattanooga
This is serious stage..today we find out. Who gonna be GC win contenders.
Early and quite decent breakaway group Kilun,Barbero, Bileka and Klimov.
Gustov atack in 88km. to go mark. peloton is wake...this is was just mountain top speed boost.
22km. to last mountain top finish before downhill section and uphill finish Michael Friedman at splipstream looks very surprised if he see how Cobo flying past him. Kolobanev ,Hamilton and van Huffel counters.
Cobo is getting away..van Huffel is a little surprised that he can follow Hamilton in climb.
Cobo wins..he is also main favorite for now. he should be decent in 20km. TT..and he see today that he is strong also in the mountains.
van Huffel beats Hamilton in hill sprint...this good sign, now he is or shure our team captain. Yestreday crash bit desturbing Hamilton race..tomorrow TT will give him chanches to take something for lost time back. Mario Aerts crossing the finish line in 7th. place..another good surprise.

Ok last cobble race to run..all favorites are loosing already little they form..and gonna be back in summer improtant races..lets find out who had something left.
Early breakaway group Ferrari; Martens and Cheula.
That's what gonna happening when strong teams move in front and sets high pace..lots of split's, and mall group for now one.
Ex T-mobile cobble ace Wesemann cant wait any more...he go's for solo. Favorites group doesnt seems to be in panic..now one doesnt follow that breakaway attemp.
Hoste feels out of pressure after Roubaix success..he trying to do he's Roubaix trick..he atack when 15km. is still to go. Pippo; Klier and Flecha want to go with him.
Flecha;Pippo and Hoste leads...group behind hasn't given up yet..they chasing.
Boonen is out today...and seems that he definatly want to win today to take at least something to confort he's terrible cobble results so far.
Flecha atacks..at last cobble section..this is longest atack what I have ever seen..but both Pipo and Hoste follows.
Now Pipo atacks..this is something different and much faster movement. Hoste just cant follow..he is now with Fleha.
Another great Pippo win..I almost hate this guy..he has been so good.
Flecha keep up this time...he crosses the line in second..Hoste 3rd.

Dalton - Brasstown Mountain
Today we have big test nr. 2..terrible mountains...
This is how all gonna look like today...14% climbs. Aerts protecting van Huffel..who seems to affraid yhose mountains..at least he's morale is low today.
Yellow power..when tempo go's up..both yellow team Saunier and Tinkoff moves in front..not surprised they have best climbing squad also in Georgia.
Decisive moments are near now..what we have left..lot of yellow and van Huffel with Aerts.
15km. to go look at this Tinkoff train..they just want a sneak away..typical Tinkoff team tactics..Cobo is wake also van Huffel they work together and they close down that gap..Aerts is in difficulty to keep up.
Hamilton launches atack..Cobo responds with short atack. This grazy 40km. climb isnt place for atacks..there is just holding your rythm and wich place will come..this is it. I'm surprised that Tinkoff rider Petrov didnt keep up.
8km. just four riders are left... Pavel Brutt cant follow anymore..this is gonna be between Hamilton, Cobo; Canada and van Huffel. 8km. might be long distance in the mountains..should be careful and wait.
6km. to go..Cobo and Hamilton speed boost...Canada is first who cant follow..also van Huffel looks this is to much for me..he chooses he's own pace.
Hamilton takes a win..or Cobo just let him to take a win..Cobo is already shure GC winner (still 2 stages to go). van Huffel cant to nothing against those two..he will be happy with 3rd. spot.

Now has TT and big mountains are behind..there is two stages for spriters to run.
5,4km. to go..Predictor team nr.2 man Aerts atack, he like to take stage win..
Aerts get small advantage...but sprinters dont wanna leave it this way...when sprint starts they closing fast.
Aerts wasnt fast enough..he's second on the line Serrano takes a stage win.
Sry. forget to export results..but here they are.

Flat City tour..my hopes are connected again with Steels again.
Some sprinters just cant wait..Murn is off for breakaway. When all atacks are over six riders is in breakaway group. Peloton is lazy...and gap is already around 8min. still 60km. to go.
I did everything that I could to start chase...I was trying to move in front and start a chase..no use, leader protecters from Duval just destroyed that attempt. Plan nr. 2 Devenyns in breakaway..still no responding..
Ok its time to take a risk to wake peloton up..GC nr. 3 man van Huffel atacks and reaches Devenyns back wheel. Now peloton riding they chase that mad attemp fast down...at least good to know they isnt that stupid.
5km. to go..this is picture that I wasnt expected to see... Breakaway group has no power anymore to keep tempo high ha possible and stay clear.
1km. to go..and sprint. Loddo;O'Bee..Steels is well placed.
Now Steels in fire..only Loddo can offer some battle.
Well done Tom..he opens and also finishes Georgia tour with stage win.
Ok...van Huffel in podium..Aerts 6th..and Steels 2 stage win's (if he hasnt messed up totaly stage 2 sprint..then he had got green also)..this is good enough to return to europe.

Famous classic...if you ask favorites they all there..CYA leader Sanchez Gonzales, F.Schleck, Kroon, Bettini. Dekker, Boogerd, Schumacher, Kirchen, Rebellin, Ricco, Noncentini, Celestino..Predictor -lotto leader will be Chris Horner who is in exelent form..main helpers Brandt and tour of Georgia comet van Huffel.
Here gonna be lot of pictures..this was fun and very activ race
Atacks starts at very early stage of the race Redondo and Isasi makes he's move in 230 km. to go mark.
Next move we see happens in 78km. mark when Voecler and Sanchez (Caisse) atacking. To early for main favorites..Horner had so far easy ride..Brandt and van Huffel protect him.
Kirchen atacks and Horner want also test he's legs and follows ..now we get big (13 riders) and strong breakaway group in front.
48 to go..Boogerd atacks with Rebellin, Ricco, Sanchez Gonzales and Bettini...they trying to join with front group. CSC stays at group 2.
Situation at 42km. mark..Bettini and Ricco have countered for Boogerd atack so strong..they get small advantage...and we see also nice strong chasers group (Horner, Boogerd, sanchez Gonzales and Rebellin). CSC playing he's own game..they keep out stady and fast pace..dont count Kroon and Schleck out yet.
Few km. later...Kroon,Arvesen and Dekker work has been good..they have chased down Boogerd group. Ricco and Bettini is still ahead.
Now fresh legs from CSC group Dekker and F.Schleck atacks...
In 30km. mark they all come back together...Ricco and bettini solo is over for now...all starts at the beginning.
18,5km. to go..another split. Dekker,Horner, Boogerd, Noncentini, Celestino, sanchez Gonzales and Bertagnolli. CSC group closing that gap again..fast.
12,3km mark.it's all over again..I'm starting to be worried..Horner has been so activ..amybe this all has been mistake..do he have any power left to final 10km.
7km. to go..another atack. Horner this time dont counter he just follows..Dekker is doing lot of work to give a team leader Boogerd chanches to win he's last Amstel Gold race. Kroon is man from CSC at the same group.
5km. to go..Horner and Kroon have a little difficulty to follow Rabo duo..but look at this atack trio wich is coming at behind...Schleck, Rebellin and Bettini.
uphill finish and final km. Horner has to admit that four riders has gone..best he can to is take a fifth.
Boogie wins..we can see that also at Dekker reaction. Horner 5th...My reaction again is...pleased. Horner has have such a positive spring..I should be greatful..also sponsors are extremly happy with my and also with results so far.
I have to admire Arvesen strong ride.
