To sum it up; Boom won due to great team tactics winning in a sprint.
After the start, where had had to start in last place because he only rode one cross before, he passed everybody in he first asphalt kilometer to jump into the field first, showing everybody he was stll a factor.
Can you believe that? starting last and passing everybody rigth away? This guy really is amazing. I can even see him winning the Tour of Flanders now.
It does fuck up my betting seson alredy tho... I had everything on de Knegt |

Then they certainly would have showed that on tv. I (and almost everyone else, I guess) say he just wasn't strong enough today. |

Belgian television confirmed, and there weren't enough camera's on the track, we didnt even see Nys his fall in the start.

Superb Nys, lots of bad luck for the others riders though
riders like Pauwels (Mechanical), Wellens (mechanical), vanthourenhout (fell), meeuwsen(fell)
but still one of the best BK's ive ever seen
prevent hangovers --> stay drunk
pozzato, basically the most stupid cyclist around

Don't do like Nys didnt have any bad luck either. Everybody had, which could've been expected with these slippery conditions.
And another suprize; Heule was only third in Switzerland; Lukas Flückiger took it. Never heard of that guy before

Sure. That's why it's bad luck. It's happens to everybody occasionally. Nys had it in Diegem for example.
I just found it weird you did mention the crashes of Meeuwsen and Vanthourenhout, but not Nys'. |

Well, guess what? It turns out Albert now has a broken rib due to this. He'll miss todays (unimportant) cross in Otegem, but maybe the World Cup manche in Roubaix as well |

It now also turns out that the guy who did this was not a Nys-fan. He normally is a fan of football team Standard de Liège, but sometimes he comes to cyclocross races to cheer for ... Niels Albert.
Niels Albert still blames Nys because "his fans are his own responsibility".
Reaction of Nys: "I have so many fans, I can't just go see all of them and tell them what not to do during a race." |

That was a good cross. Stybar did well.
And a good mud race in Roubaix, can't beat it

Good race by Stybar, obviously the strongest. He'll be the favourite for Hoogerheide next week and the WC in Tabor.
Good race by both Wellens and Vervecken as well, although that does make senc since it turned out to be a cross with a lot of running sections.
Albert not so good with his injury. Think the Belgians are gonna have to rely on Nys for the WC. |

Well, if it really is a frozen circuit like they predicted, then it's probably going to be a duel between Nys and Stybar. And they've both proven that they are in excellent shape. |
