Judging by the number of non climbers that did well at the second climb and are way behind at the finish, I'd say that even that time check doesn't mean anything, because it's clear a lot of people are blowing up completely in the last 10kms.
Sure, Isso, but we could suppose that they are blown out because of the second climb. Elsewhere, that wouldn't make sense that they did well the second climb not being climbers and then they suck at their own terrain.

Do the climb too fast = die. That's what I mean, yes. The thing is, if they do that, their times at the second climb won't mean anything. And that's what I was saying

Jesus Christ, a one and a half hour long TT. Have you ever seen such a long TT?
I've been wondering about the same.
Does anyone know when we last had a TT this long in a major tour?
1994 Giro. Berzin put 2 and a half minutes into the godlike time triallist IndurĂ¡in
And I believe it was the 91 Tour (not sure) that had a 73 or so km ITT....that IndurĂ¡in won, of course.
Both those TTs were flat, though.
You really have ridiculous cycling knowledge. |

I have no patience. None. Whatsoever. So the only way I can get through 2 hours on the trainer without quitting and doing something else is if the trainer's in front of the Monitor and I'm watching an old cycling DVD
