Just got 13th with Kittel in La Vuelta GC... 62 MO and 66 HI. Simulated all stages though. Still extremely weird. Dumoulin was 7th before the last MO stage but fell and is out . |

Two stage wins, one with Impey and the other with Goss at Volta A Catalunya.
Hayman was 6th at E3, Howard 15th at Gent-Wevelgem |

Why is it, that I have no chance winning a stage in a late attack because the AI riders chase like crazy.
But if the AI riders launch a late attack, they always win, because other AI riders never help me chasing them. |

After a ton of necessary editing I have started the 2023 season (PCM2011).
It feels great to start a season with so much variety in the game, just look at the teams from the tour of Qatar prologue as proof! (The downside is the game doesn't look to produce any more riders.)
Will look to win the tour of Qatar again with van Staeyen after winning in 2022, will be more difficult with tougher competition this year and I changed the bonus seconds to the same system used in the TDU. At least we have already picked up the Mexican NC title!

- Kiserlovski - Of course, I recommend the fast editor.
- Lachi - It is PCM, you have to take it with a pinch of salt! |

I am playing my first Giro in PCM 13 and every flat stage and every hilly stage was won by the break away, after my sprinter had performed well in the first two flat stages. Is this normal? (My rider was not leading the GC, but that should not matter, because every team should want to win a Giro stage.)
Also every stage played the same. GC contenders attack, I follow, they cancel the attack. This continues until we reach the finish, until they run out of energy or my riders are empty. If I don't follow, the other GC contenders don't follow either. Quite boring. |

1-2 and the Tour. Contadors 7th win. Was a ridiculously tough course which suited Contador and TJ as all the big names went to the Giro and struggled on the long stages. Won the Young Riders with Sharanov aswell.

Hi,
I am about to start a new career with the French Community Database - Spain which I changed a bit. I adjusted some rider stats, potential, and favorite races, I also changed the cyclist progression (f.e. VERYFAST from 3 to 1.5), the teams favorite races (f.e. Caja Rujal favorites now Catalunya, Pais Vasco, Burgos, Vuelta), some tour types (f.e. T.D.Pologne from petite_tours_pl_tt to val_tt or mo_tt). Furthermore I put some free agents in teams I like (f.e. Sinkewitz to Stölting or Ballan to Bretagne - Séché), added some races (mostly from my country) and of course I created my own team (sponsor, jersey, etc).
Now I am interested to see what you guys change before starting a new long-term career because maybe there are some more things to adjust or maybe you think it's to much I changed.
thank you

2nd and 4th with Mollema and Kelderman in the Giro on hard.
Also dominated WT rankings after Giro. So switched to extreme..
9th in TDF with Gesink, and again 2nd and 4th with Mollema and Kelderman in the Vuelta. Had two 1-2's on MTF's in the Vuelta
So..what's harder than extreme? |

I do find it very easy to do well in the Vuelta, as there aren't many favorites (at least not like the Tour). I've won the Vuelta a number of times with Froome on fitness 4 (on extreme).
And as for harder than extreme, I do know you can use the editor to get a setting between hard and extreme. By that logic, you may be able to do the same but beyond extreme, but I don't know for sure. |

Finished 9th at Flanders with Hayman, 11th with Keukeleire.
Also won a stage at De Panne with Goss.
Trying to get Goss to do both Giro and Tour. Only just started racing, so hopefully he will last fairly well. |

My first year of my Garmin career is over. I won both UCI WT Team Ranking and CQ Team Ranking quite comfortably (despite not riding much continental races and simulating all of them, also simulating some of the WT stages, especially flat). Some of the most important results:
- Martin was 2nd in Vuelta and won MSR and Lombardia.
- Hesjedal was 3rd in Giro.
- Talansky was 4th in TdF and won California.
- Acevedo managed to win 2 last mountain stages of TdF from breakaway and somehow he managed to overcome big difference in KOM classification to GC riders and won it. Then he came to Poland and won first 2 stages of Tour de Pologne, but eventually lost the race to Uran.
Plenty of stage wins and good places in other classics and one-week races.
I failed in cobbled classics big time though, so there's an area I'll need to try different approach next season. I don't have very strong team to support Langeveld, but he himself is good enough to have some top10 places.
I play on hard and the game seems to be a bit easy. But OK, I'll try to have a roster with more than 20 riders from USA and Canada in the future and I'll try to win a GT with a rider inferior in MO to some of the very best, and improve on cobbles. So I still have some challenges in front of me. |

Finished Giro with Trek (story save) and lost all motivation afterwards. Kiserlovski absolutely screwed up in TTs, as he could easily get 4th without them. However, at the end, he finished 7th with big gap behind guys in front of him. Nizzolo lost points jersey by 3 points in one really close fight (Top 5 guys were in 10 points at the end, Kristoff won it), but he got 4 podiums and 2 stage wins so it was more than successful. Not to even mention that Arredondo won KoM without any problems.
However, decided to start something with my, by far, favourite PCM13 fantasy jersey - ZUNO Bank by Jezemoukele. Created pretty strong and very talented Austrian-based Pro Conti team and already played few stages. Really, really enjoying this so far. Here's the team:
Definitely nice way to wait for PCM14 patches, you have to agree.

I'm so happy, because I've managed to beat Froome in Tour of California in my Garmin career! It was an important goal for the sponsor to win this race, and after I decided to send there a stronger team than what managed to win that race a year before, I was sure this race would be mine.
But then, I realised Froome was there. :/ I had a bunch of strong riders, with Van Garderen (79 MO, 79 TT), Kelderman (78 MO, 77 TT), Dennis (76 MO, 79 TT), Acevedo (78 MO and poor TT) and Hesjedal (78 MO and 72 TT) but none of them was really able to beat Froome in a straight fight. And it was impossible to isolate him as well, since he had Henao and Kennaugh with him in the team.
In the first mountain finish, Froome beat all of my riders by more than 40 seconds and I realised I needed to do something extraordinary to achieve my sponsor goal (it was kinda important, because I've missed 3 of my 5 previous goals by 1 place). In TT (hilly ones are easy in this game) I've managed to beat him by some of my riders, but he still remainded at the front of GC, although TJVG was only 10 seconds behind. I tried everything. Attacks on downhill (Hesjedal won a stage that way, but gained no time), splitting the peleton on hills, attacks on flat etc. but at the end I was unable to gain any time advantage.
There came the stage to Mount Diablo. I intended to make the pace high and select a group of very few riders after the penultimate climb, but it didn't work. Then I decided to start some attacks on flat and the race has gone crazy since then.
I attacked by Farrar and followed by Dennis. Froome followed by himself, despite having all of his team-mates next to him. So I made the pace high by Farrar to tire Froome. Chris even decided to make relays on himself. Peleton caught them after few kilometers. I decided to repeat the attack and again Froome followed by himself. He even decided to ride hard against the peleton after Dennis was dropped. Things were looking promising. The climb started and Froome was caught. I attacked by Kelderman, but after short time all the best climbers were together again. So I rode a dot for all of my riders and they were all in front of main group. And it started to split a bit, since Van Garderen was the strongest of my riders and gained a few meters advantage. I realised that so lowered the effort of the other riders to make a gap. Henao attacked and followed TJVG, but Froome didn't make any move. He was quite far back in a fairly big group then, so I reckon he was unable to respond immediately. Other teams tried to chase TJVG and Henao so Froome decided to sit in the big group. But it was clear that with 5kms to go and Van Garderen with almost full bars of energy, domestiques were not able to close the gap. Froome was sitting in the pack until the 1km to go, but it was too late as Van Garderen already had more than 1 mintue of advantage at that point and he managed to win a ToC against Froome!
