Ian, I can't keep up with your high speed in posting new reports.!!!!
But nice results, and finally you won the Omloop.
And that coming from the godfather of posting a lot quickly
+1 for the second part, though, very nice results lately.

Nice teamwork in le Samyn, which seemed a bit less in Kuurne from my point of view.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

cunego59 - Thanks! Stijn's now 25 so he's getting to be very strong now! That and some more experience so he's getting great results!
Ollfardh - I agree. A new team, so it's searching. But they're getting there
PCM rulezz - Thanks, he sure is strong

Paris - Nice :: Stage 1
Stijn: There's good news and bad news. Bad news is for me, good news for Willy. So, for me, Cavendish is here. Still the world's fastest sprinter, getting that stage win won't be easy for me.
Willy: I have good news. Overall Classification-wise, this year's field isn't too impressive. I believe I'm definitely one of the candidates for the win!
Willy Wouters
Obviously, this prologue was an important day. To show my jersey and to take seconds on GC favorites.
Uphill I had a good time, but my downhilling wasn't sufficient enough today.
Stijn Van Gent
Nothing big for me today. I took 4 points for the Points classicication. Hoping to be a factor there!

An excellent start. Riders like Brajkovic and Pinot are already over half a minute down the classification!
But there's more, important news for Stijn!
World Championships 2015 (Bristol)
The route for the World Championships have been altered slightly, because of some bad roads. It's now more like the Valkenburg profile from 2012. A hilly rider might have a chance, but a strong sprinter also stands a chance.
Take a look.
With Stijn having an amazing season so far, we see this as an opportunity. The chances are slim, but Stijn wants to grab those chances with two hands and work hard and maybe, with a bit of luck, Stijn can crown himself Champion of The World this year!
He's updated his ideal fitness schedule.
Now let's hope he gets that selection and can make dreams come true. Belgium's counting on a miracle!
See you later,
Stijn & Willy

Good race for Willy, hope he wins soon in that jersey
(btw, why don't you use a jersey with sponsors?)
That WC parcour suits Stijn if you ask me

PCM rulezz - Yeah, I've seen the profile a bit late but it perfectly suits Stijn
About the jersey, I'm not sure, it's just a WC jersey. I think it's unnecessary to change the jersey every year according to the champion's team. I like the jersey this way, I don't know

Daggen - It's pure all right
Jakstar22 - Best start possible, so a podium should be very possible, maybe even the win!
sutty68 - Thanks
wogsrus - That would be amazing! Though Willy is always the more subtle one. Stijn seems to have an impressive career, constantly winning. But if you look at Willy's career, it ain't half bad either: 2 times Tirreno, 3rd in the Tour...
wroblitz - I agree, thanks! And the good thing is, Cancellara can have the yellow jersey for a while, his team can work, we can relax!

Paris - Nice :: Stage 2
Stijn: if I expect do to good at the World Championships, this stage is a great chance to show I can handle the hills, as long as they're not too steep or long.
Willy: I do'nt think there will be big time gaps today, but I will be very careful about attackers, though.
Willy Wouters
Team Europcar did a lot of the work, mostly for the television, but that suits me!
Fabian Cancellara attacked in the yellow jersey. He dropped quite a bomb!
Talansky and myself went to work and we controlled the gap.
In the end, as expected, there weren't any big gaps. We'll have to wait a few days for that.
Stijn Van Gent
After the initial nervous phase of attacking, things slowed down. I tried to have a nice conversation with Willy (left), but he was too concentrated and didn't get my jokes. We have totally different styles there, too. In very important races, he starts incredibly focused and concentrated. I, too, am focused, of course, but I mostly start relaxed. For some reason I get the best out of myself riding around more relaxed than most.
After two of the final hills, I was surprisingly up front. If I can manage to get this shape for the World Championship, I may sprint for a medal!
Cancellara took the win and I sprinted to a fourth place! Not bad!

For Willy, this Paris - Nice is going perfectly. He's not in the position to defend a jersey, but the jersey is within reach. For Stijn, this was an amazing test for the WC. Tomorrow's a flat stage, let's see if he can match that famous speed of Mark Cavendish.
See you then,
Stijn & Willy

Good ride by both, save their strength for the stages that really matter.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

Paris - Nice :: Stage 3
Stijn: Well, my goal at Paris - Nice was to get a stage win. Today I hope to accomplish that goal.
Willy: I will save energy and maybe do some work in the lead-out today.
Willy Wouters
Team Sky did most of the work today, for their ex-world champion Cavendish .
I decided to help Stijn to the victory and was part of the lead-out.
Stijn Van Gent
Kreder was the first attacker of the day and managed to stay away, which made us sit back and let Sky do the work today.
The whole world was looking forward to a showdown between me and Cavendish . Unfortunately, he wasn't brought to the front properly and he never participated in the sprint today.
Instead, Boeckmans was like a pit bull. On my current form, I was able to create a distance between me and the others, but Boeckmans stayed in my wheel. It was head wind, so as soon as he left my wheel, he came up next to me, but didn't go any further, it seemed.
This was close, but I hung on, barely! What a strong ride from Boeckmans today.

Stijn: Wow! What a rush, winning here in front of all those screaming Frenchmen! I've got to tell you, this year, it seems like I don't feel my legs at all. Every rider has one, maybe two seasons where they're incredibly strong. I'm starting to think this season might be mine! I'm really starting to believe in my chances for the Ronde, Roubaix and/or the World Championships. My objective: get 1/3! That would make me the happiest man alive, really!
Tomorrow is a mountain stage!
See you then
Stijn & Willy
