To be honest, looking at Froome's 2009 results then I would have thought he might one day sneak a GT Top 10, probably in a weak field though. However, his results in 2010 and.early 2011 were miles off, and then he suddenly improved. That's why he's so suspicious. Not jealousy, logic. |

Someone should put on a Frankenstein monster costume and run with a sign that goes: "Dr. Brailford's monster " as Froome wins on Alpe d'Huez. |

Before the 2011 Vuelta, Froome had always been performing under par.
He was ill between the ages of about 20 to 25/26 with a uncommon disease which affected his breathing. (Cant remember what its called but there are documentation of it)
He overcame the disease in 2010/early 2011 so he could then train better, increasing his speed in the mountains and the time trials so when he was given a leaders role for the first time in a grand tour!!! He came 2nd. Previously he had always been a domestique so was unable to show what he was capable of.
He was okay in the vuelta to get 2nd but Cobo Acebo who won isnt an awesome climber and that vuelta was fairly bad with not many big names riding except wiggo coming back from injury.
In the tour 2012 he was improving and now he is reaching his peak.
Froome will not win lots more tours as he is at his peak now but the tours he will win will not be stripped off him because he has not doped.
His lead looks as if he has doped.
But it is because froome has pushed himself against dopers so when the field is clean he can actually win by minutes!
Also Froome has went from nobody to tdf2013 contender because cycling has got cleaner so everyone who was beating him have stopped taking drugs and beating him so he can actually beat them now.
If cycling wasnt cleaner now he would probably not be leading
Isso, is that you trolling us? |

There is one amusing bit in all of this.
SKY is severely praised for their structure and orgasational skills, but they have not even tried to make it seem real. It's a joke really.
1. Froome was a nobody
2. Many riders were much, MUCH weaker before joining SKY
3. They keep hiring new doctors plagued by doping scandals
4. They have an obvious corrupt journalist act as their defender in the media
5. Froome never seemed tired after smashing everyone - neither did Wiggins.
6. Froome does not have the phyiscal stature to be a good athelete
And many more I guess...
So SKY got all the scientific stuff right to fake good results. But come on?
Instead of taking rather old nobody's like Froome and Wiggins, they could have faked a natural progression on Kennaugh, not hire infamous doping doctors, act a bit tired after winning, not make an obvious employee defend them neutrally and just gone about it in a more proffessional manner.
I mean. Even the appearance of Brailsford and guys like Carsten Jeppesen are fishy. They look and talk like someone working for a corrupt business.
It's just a joke. |

Sayar gets busted, we all thought that was pretty obvious. I hope Froome will have the same soon enough.
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

What happened with you cycling fans?!?
Why can't you simply enjoy watching it like some years ago...
It's the greatest race, with the greatest riders in their best shape and you wonder if they achieve something great?!?!?!?

Think whatever you want, but I prefer being cynical over naive. Especially when it's this obvious.

Ah Poe's Law at work
As much as IncredibleIan's post is exactly what someone parodying a Sky fanboy's blindness would write, i'm afraid it's genuine. Also, I know what paragraphs are.
The core idea of Poe's law is that a parody of something extreme can be mistaken for the real thing, and if a real thing sounds extreme enough, it can be mistaken for a parody

When their favourites got caught they said "Never again... well sort of, I mean he wasn't REALLY doped, he just signed for the wrong team and his doctors really made a convincing case. Anywho, if someone is too good then they must be doped, there are no other explanations at all even if there is."
I for one hope that he's clean, I hope all are clean. |

When my favourite (Vinokourov) got caught, I swapped allegiance to Rasmussen. It took 1 day for him to get chucked out. So I started to look at things with a more inquisitive eye. It wasn't a very knowledgeable one (I was 12 or 13 at the time) but I slowly started to realise what was actually going on. I've never believed the excuses after the fact and now I find it hard to before. Once you've seen history repeat itself endlessly (and much more so for the older members on here) you stop automatically believing everyone is clean. Instead, you start to assess the situation. I hope they're all clean, sure, but I'd be an idiot to believe it. I don't like seeing sport made a mockery of. |

Contador says he believes Froome is clean.
My god that is shocking, SHOCKING. I was totally expecting him to say 'Froome is dirty because he's equaling the climbing times I did 3-4 years ago and you can't do that clean.....I'm sorry what was the question again?'

The same Contador who never admitted his own guilt, and kept supporting Armstrong even after he admitted cheating ? |
