I am so pleased for Sastre. I thought he had a chance of victory heading into the time trial, but I no way thought there would be a minute margin in Sastre's favour at the end of it.
And I actually predicted something correctly |

Actually, Ciolek should have won......if it wasn't for Dean he would have. |

I don't think Steegmans was better than Ciolek. Gerald would have won that if Dean wouldn't have stolen Steegmans wheel. When Dean went on his own, Ciolek had to close the huge gap to Steegmans. In the end he was much faster than anyone else, but he was too far behind (or the finish was 25 metres too early). But Ciolek showed that he is capable of winning a TDF sprint and this makes me happy. I look forward to the fight between Cav and Ciolek the next years :-) |

Well not quite the ride most were expecting me to have, and in the end, a long way off yellow. After a brief analysis of what I felt was a good ride, it looks like I was a bit more fatigued than most, possibly because of the crash in the first week, I could tough it out for two weeks, but the 'race of truth' brings out the whole truth.
Oh well, next year ... A huge thank you to EVERYONE who has supported me in these past days, weeks and years. There are so many people who have helped me along the way, from my osteo, team mates and team staff here to the people who drove me to races when I started 17 years ago - THANKYOU ALL!!!

I love watching the presentations in Paris, great when they bring the kids up, it leaves them scared. |

A shame that Ciolek didn't win -- stupid Dean
Anyway, Steegmans is on my TdF team, so there's a good side to it too. Now, let's enjoy CSC's victories |

By the way: I noticed an interesting thing during the stage. CSC was handing out champagne to their riders. One non-CSC rider also got a glass, Pozzato, who has previously been rumoured on his way to CSC.
Coincidence? |

Looking at Sastre gives a huge morale boost, Personally it shows a victory not just the Tour de France but all the hard work his team put in, the people who work on the tour de france and hopefully a triumph over doping. Sastre is the best possible winner of the tour de france. He isnt cocky, he isnt and asshole he deserves this win 100%.
Also Cadel has traded in his lions for Kangaroo teddy. |

Id just like to comment on how great the sastre family are. Eurosport just interview Sastre's Brother and he was great and they also interviewed his parents. All willing to speak to the camera. They are all great. |

I feel so stupid now. You're right, I completely forgot that. |
