Damn Ricco is a dick. He will cry like a baby when Vande Velde Comes from behind tomorrow
I thought the dick usually came from behind in those cases? oh, what do I know, I'm straight.
I'm talking about coming from behind in the race obviously |

Ok, the Montirolo:
Average Gradient: 10.5%
Length: 12.4 km
Maximum Gradient: 18%
How it goes: Starts off at 6 - 7%, then kicks up to 11.6%. Then after that, from 3km to 9km, average gradient is 13%, reaching up to 18%. After that, it flattens out a bit, if your still going forwards whilst pedalling up that mid-section.

i think di luca will have problems today because of his ride yesterday but contador didn't look good yesterday so who do you think is going to win today and the giro? |

I hope Contador wins but I belive that Riccò will win the stage, maybe not the jersey in the end but he looks to be in top form....

I think Ricco will be Contadors biggest threat today, especially if he attacks on Mortirolo and is followed by some riders, then I think he can make a great attack on Passo Aprica. I think Contador and Di Luca will be struggling to follow him on Mortirolo, maybe Simoni and Ven den BroeckB) can follow him. |

How good is Ricco on a falt TT? Cause he will need to do well to keep di Luca and Contador behind him on sunday. |

Contador would be the main worry for Ricco, as Ricco is capable of beating Di Luca in a TT - on the flat section of the more hilly TT, Ricco was faster than Di Luca.

It's neck and neck. but I wouldn't worry about Di Luca at all if I were Riccò. If I were him I'd worry about somehow dropping Contador today. |

But I really think that Contador will win this Giro .. The TT is in his favour and he'll probably take 2 minuts on both Di Luca and Ricco.. But Ricco is stronger uphill than Contador .. Or at least it has been the case in this Giro |

A lot hinges on how fresh both Contador and Kloden are today. Contador may have been saving himself a bit yesterday, but Kloden most definitely didn't. Contador may have to do everything himself.
But one thing I'm sure of is this is one hell of an exciting Giro, bravo organisers, they've put together a great Giro, just a shame the TT favours Contador so much

Like you said he will need a few people with him to keep the gap to the end. Mabye the association Ricco Di Luca will happen afterall.
But i doubt Contador will let em ride a second time, he will probably do a better job then yesterday. Why, well imo the Mortirolo is better suited for Contador then for Ricco and Di Luca. Offcourse with the currect form of both Ricco and Di Luca ... Contador could have a hard time.
But my bet for today stays with Simoni

I agree with you about a good and exciting Giro .. I like that there have been so many breakaways that succeded
Btw he didn't let them ride away yesterday, he just couldn't follow the pace of Ricco on the last mountain towards the finish line. |

I really hope Contador won't win, I don't like Di luca, or Ricco that much, but please don't let him win.
Sadly it's his to lose at the moment, there is one hard stage left where he needs to lose 1,5-2 min at least and I'm doubtful he will do that. It's a special climb though, so who knows |

I really doubt he'll lose that much time today.. But the others have to try to do something so therefore it will be a nice stage with action |

bruseghin did well on the kronplatz and the GC contenders are attacking normally in the last climb
so if he past the mirtorolo with ricco and di luca and contador stays behind, he could defeat them on TT and win the giro
also simoni can leave everyone behind on the mirtorolo due to his experience

As I've said before, Contador has probably already won this, but I really hope that the Di Luca / Ricco alliance can break him today. It will be really interesting! |
