Unlucky that the breakaway held all the way, but a nice show from Haussler. Almost three minutes ahead of the pack, that's impressive.

Incredible screens, nice graphics (you've got a monster pc?)... nice stage as well, congrats to emmea! One little qustion, I downed your TDF-variant as well (the one roturn is playing atm), but what now? It's a .003-file... how and where to open it? how do I get this variant ingame, cause I like to play it just as a single tour. Is that possible? |

Thanks all.
Haussler was indeed strong gaining several minutes in just 35km. Unfortunately also the riders in the break had energy left and were at the same speed. Sanchez is indeed riding quite good always in the first group different to many other riders.
@ tdf11: Not 100% sure but I think you have to open the file with WinRar or 7zip. If you want to play it as stage race you have to make a backup of the top_tdf_xx... files in CM_Stages. Then rename Emmeas stages like this and overwrite them. You also have to edit some things in the DB that the profile etc. are correct. It might be easier to create a completely new race if you don`t want to overwrite the files. If you have more questions, could you write me a PM? Is better for the overview in this thread.

Tour de France - Stage 5
Roubaix - Lille
Time for another epic stage. A 36km TTT with lots of cobbled section on the first half. So the teams must take care on their leaders.
With Sanchez, Meyer, Fuglsang and Millar we have good time trialists and with Vansummeren and Haussler two great classic riders. So our team definitely belongs to the top favourites.
Other teams to watch are Omega Pharma Lotto with a good classic squad, HTC, and Rabobank.
The stage was played in 3D mode, although there aren`t screenshots here.
On the first checkpoint Garmin wasn`t in the top 5, so we decided to accelerate a bit. Haussler, who felt very strong today did most of the pace. Just Fuglsang was able to follow. So these two always had to slow down and wait for the next riders (Sanchez, Vansummeren, Millar and Meyer, while the rest was already gone).
On the second point Garmin was 4th behind HTC, Katusha and Rabobank. But Haussler still had energy left and pushed the rest of our team.
In the end we had the 2nd with just 3s to HTC with race leader Tony Martin.
Most teams were taking care of there main leader. But some also lost unnecessarily some time. So did Contador, who finished +15 to his team around Schleck, Karpets (+21), Brajkovic (+2), A.Schleck (+3), Gesink (+14).
In general it was a very nice stage to ride and definitely a highlight of this TdF variant.
Big losers today are Euskaltel, Astana, Lampre and Movistar, who lost a lot of time.

What a great day for Garmin. I can see now Sanchez challegning for podium or even Tour de France win if everthing goes well in mountains and Sanchez limits his looses. Great opportunity now for Garmin. Strategically its all good cause Martin has the jersey and Garmin won't have to help up the front as much as if you had the yellow jersey. |

Thanks all. But you are way too optimistic. All mountain stages are still coming. And guys like Contador, Vandenbroeck, Wiggins, Kreuziger, Schleck aren`t far behind and will kick my ass there.
I think I can be happy if I am under +10min in the end.
Just my goal top 10 becomes more and more possible.
@bikeroel: Martin is a little bit worse than Sanchez. But on the first mountain stage I need a great form to get the yellow jersey if I don`t want to lose much time on other guys behind me. |

Great TTT for your team and Sanchez. I´m looking forward to the first mountain stage but as you said, it will be hard to keep this great position. Hopefully you can wear yellow for one stage |

Thanks. Before the first mountains some flat stages coming. But then one mountain stage after the other. Looking like a great 3rd week. Hopefully Sanchez can make it even better then.
But before another transfer.
Chris Barton is another American rider from the BMC team. He is still young and can hopefully improve with us. His role in our team is quite similar to Bookwalter. Primarily he has to help the leaders. With his average stats in all kind of races he will be a good addition.
His biggest success was a 15th in the Tour of Langkawi in this season. Hopefully he can improve to add some more results into his palmares. |
