I have to say Farrar is doing a great Giro, day in the white jersey, 3 top 3s, only time before he gets a win.

meh, i somehow doubt it. This Giro is about 2 sprinters. Cavendish vs Petacchi.
I'm looking forward still to round 2, this wasn't as such a "straight out" sprint between them.

I agree with doddy.
After stage 1, we haven't really seen them go head to head. Stage 2, Cavendish was caught up in a crash, in milano Petacchi didn't sprint, and today he was caught out by Davis' risky move which resulted in him starting the sprint very far out.
Hopefully friday we'll see a straight shot between them.

If that made grammatical sense, I'd clap and say sure, but as it doesn't I'll just snub you further shall I?

I still can't find Davis' "risky" move.

Tyler Farrar is doing great, perhaps has the ability to challenge Cavandish and/or Pettachi in Firenze (Florence) in a couple of days. That may prove the last chance however. After this I think Cav may pull out of the Giro, will be interesting to see whether Farrar follows suit if this is the case. I think there is one more chance for sprinters (stage 18).
I am not to familiar with Farrar's previous career to be honest - apart from his victory in the Tirreno Adratico - is this my lack of knowledge or is he a new man to the sprint scene? |
