an another one...
... Jakob Fuglsang
Jakob Fuglsang is our third new sign for the 2010 season. He is promised as one of the great stage racers in the World in future. His potential on climbs and time-trial is just amazing. Plus he can win races on the downhill (sometimes you need those to make the difference) or he can get back in a group if he hasn't a great day and loses times on the climb. The fact that he was a mountain-biker really helps him on the downhills.
He came to Team Columbia as he wants to ride in the biggest races of the World. Still his main goals for the 2010 season could be the Danish National Championships and The Tour de Langkawi. If he performances in the next season will be good he can ride the Vuelta at the end of the season, where he can support the team-leader or even he could be the team-leader.

Le Tour de France Stage 18
Gerdemann is in the breakaway. He won on Col de la Madeleine, Col de la Croix de Fer, Col du Telegraphe, then cracked on Col du Galibier and he was caught by the pack. Still the points won today keep the polka dot for Team Columbia, after Lovkvist won it last year.
Disaster for Team Columbia! The green jersey, Bernhard Eisel crashed on the descent of Col de la Madeleine.
Wiggins wait for him. But it looks hard to avoid the elimination today as they are already more than half an hour behind the pack
Luis Leon Sanchez made the first attack this year on Alpe d'Huez
Sastre went there too as he wants to save his Tour with a victory in the hardest stage of it.
Valverde, Samuel Sanchez and Andy Schleck went together
Menchov attacks. He's the only one who could take the yellow jersey from Evans
Contador attacks too. He also has a chance to get in yellow but he has to wi lot of time today
Cadel Evans is coming, to defend his jersey
A little bit later Kloden attacks
Kirchen goes after him, to keep his overall rank
Menchov and Contador are trying everything they can to get rid of Evans, but it looks imposible
Finaly the both decide to attack Cadel
But Evans is coming
Evans is even leading the final kilometre now
Sastre got back in the first group
Contador is now leading, in the last corner. New guy in the front group: Di Luca.
Contador wins on Alpe d'Huez!
Evans is second and keeps the yellow jersey. He has now 90% chances to win the Tour
Kirchen lost some seconds to Kloden today. Now they have the same time in the overall rankings.

not really. Valverde is just 10 points behind. 3 stages left: one for sprinters (where Valverde can do something), one mountain TT and one mountain stage ended in a downhill. Not so sure Hagen can keep it. |

go in a breakaway with hagen to win intermediate sprints and maybe they will make it

maybe but the penultimate stage starts with a hard climb. So it's hard for Hagen to get away there. And a breakaway will get him tired for the last stage. I think I will put all my money on the last stage. Maybe a win for Hagen there and Valverde not involved in the sprint. |

in my story he never made a gap or a huge one. Last year he worked for Leipheimer in both Vuelta and Tour. |

You have to give him the supremely best AVG in the team, else it's rather random which rider the team will pick for the GT's
He newer get to be captain in my careers either

but this year he was the captain. No Leipheimer or Kloden at Astana. Let's what he can do in Vuelta, if he rides it |

Le Tour de France Stage 19
Good time for the young Dutch hope, Robert Gesink.
Really nice time for Sastre. This will help him to get a top 10 place.
Di Luca, was the CSC leader at the start of the Tour, but he was beaten by Andy Schleck. Today he was better than Andy.
Poor, very poor time for Kirchen today. He almost lost his top 10 place
Kirchen's bad time means that Kloden won the battle for the 7th place
No one can take Andy Schleck's white jersey.
Valverde was pretty good today. Still not good enough to take some points for the green jersey. So still 10 points behind Hagen, which means that we have a good chance now the make our sponsor goal.
Like always Sanchez is not shining, but he is there.
Contador is really the best climber in the World at the moment. And today was just an another proof to that
Can Menchov at least beat Evans today and take some more seconds?
No, Evans keeps the yellow jersey, even he wins some seconds to the Russian.
