Vanmarcke is the best team mate Stijn has had so far. He's bound to win a monument this year!
Changed my sig, this was getting absurd.

TimoCycling - Stats in spoiler. So far he hasn't proved much, though. Maybe this year will be his breakthrough year as well
Jesleyh - Their stats are probably way off, but this story is about Stijn & Willy so it doesn't matter too much Hope Wilco will prove he's worthy of leadership at the Tour He's aiming for top 10.
Miguel98 - Well, now that you mention it, 95.000 a month is not nothing
krisa - I'm sure they will. Farrar is sprinting in the Giro and in the Tour, so a win in one of the tours should be possible! And if not, he's been Champion of USA for 3 years in a row, he can make it 4
PCM rulezz - No Tour this year, unfortunately. I made a choice and decided to try and get Willy to win the Giro at 24 years of age. It'll be a tough campaign but imagine if he pulls it off!
Jakstar22 - Thanks! Let's hope for a good season!
Ollfardh - Vanmarcke will be with him deep into the finale, which is something Stijn never had! the Ronde or Roubaix would make his season, that's for sure!
Thanks for all the support! As expected, I won't have time today. Maybe tonight after 10PM, but then I'll probably sim the Tour Down Under and report those results.
Honestly, I can't wait for the new season, to get them racing again
A quick question, I'm looking to implement a third Tour de France into my game, does anyone know a nice route that I can download? I prefer complete tours, instead of "creating" one out of different stages from different stage-makers. Thanks! |

Great team for Willy and Stijn! Pretty good, and realistic schedules, imo, hopefuly they will have another brilliant season, and I hope they make a 1-2 in the UCI and CQ Rankings |

krisa - I know. I didn't handle the transfers. But it doesn't matter much
TheManxMissile - Ask and Ye shall receive. Team stats are in the spoiler, ranked on wage with Willy and Stijn cut out. Some stats may be weird but don't blame me, I didn't watch over their development
FreitasPCM - Glad you like the schedules Only thing I hope is that Stijn will keep his Giro form for the National Championship. With it being K-B-K, it's a major chance for him!
TimoCycling - I didn't handle the team's control (though I did bring in Talansky and Hunter ), but the Dutchies are welcome
Well, meeting's over already, so I might even get to racing tonight!
EDIT: though let me catch my breath first I'll get some dinner, watch a bit of Friends, then I'll possibly come back to sim the Tour Down Under and maybe start Willy and Stijn in Bessèges!

Busted, you've majorly edited Che de Jong's stats. His AVG is still 55
No problem though, he was awful, and some editing is allowed of course
But seriously, very good balanced team!
Not a lot COB 70-77 guys though, maybe a small problem...

Yeah, I edited de Jong. He was completely useless so I gave him a boost. I also upped Markus a while ago (when he was doing so well irl). A 55 guy in a World Tour team is really useless, so I felt it was all right
Vanmarcke is an amazing help, but not a lot other strong cobblers, you're right. However, those with 71 COB are still young and might develop (hopefully) fast into better cobbled riders! |

Young Rider: Vaughan Zoricich (GARMIN)
Best Team: Colnago - CSF Inox
Amazing work by the neopro Vaughan Zoricich, getting straight to business in his home country! With a daring breakaway in the second stage, he conquered the young jersey.
Now it's up to us. We're both a little nervous actually. It's the first time we're getting paid so much and we're officially the two team leaders. There's a lot of pressure to get results as soon as possible!
See you later,
Stijn & Willy |

Jesley... How do you know these things?
Very impressive by Zorichic indeed! Why don't Stijn or Willy race at TdU? It''s a pretty nice race to race. |

Jesleyh - Thanks! He did quite fine!
Mordekaiser - Uhm... I'll try to tell you as soon as I know myself Navigateur is TT1, Bango is the former Movistar. The rest I'll have to check!
TimoCycling - Willy only wants to race where there are time trials to show his nice jersey and Stijn did TDU last year and then Roubaix was a bit ruined because he couldn't hold his form this long. |

Conquering the States
Hi there!
Stijn and Willy here once again. Tomorrow we finally start racing again, after a hard winter. Willy had some obligations that came with the rainbow jersey, but all in all we both had decent training. Now that we've joined Team Garmin, an American team, we're getting much more scientifically-build training.
We went down to the United States of America for pre-season training with the entire team in January, which was nice. If you remember correctly, Willy always said he loved riding in the USA. But the USA loves Willy, too. Cycling isn't very big over there, but we were surprised to see a "Willy Wouters Fanclub" in the streets of L.A.! Anyway, we were down there and we got invited to a show on some kind of sports channel (Channel 6), a talk show something. Four of the guys and the DS of the team.
The show started with a boring, technical interview with the DS, let's skip that, but then there was an interview bit with the two of us and, also invited, Tyler Farrar and Andrew Talansky.
We also have, in this studio today, National Champion Tyler Farrar, big talent Andrew Talansky and the hot Belgian duo, Willy Wouters and Stijn Van Gent. Welcome to the show. Tyler, tell us, are you going for the title again this year?
Farrar: I'd be lying if I said that title doesn't mean as much anymore. It's the most important event of the year, so I'm definitely putting everything I've got to get another National Title!
Where else can we expect you? Paris - Roubaix, the Tour de France?
Farrar: Indeed, Mark. I'll be racing some classics first, including Roubaix. Then I'm going to the Giro and the Tour.
Seems like a busy schedule. We hope the best for you, Tyler! Andrew, we're looking for someone to make us forget all about Lance Armstrong. Will you win the Tour for me?
Talansky: I will definitely try, Mark. I'm 26 now, so I'm approaching my best years. Winning the Tour has always been my big dream.
What do you think about the team this year? Experts say it's one of the strongest squads in the professional world of cycling.
Talansky: I would have to agree with them, really. We're a strong squad and the atmosphere is really great! Every gets along so well and it's a pleasure riding together. We're hoping for an amazing season.
Well, thanks, Andrew. Part of that success will fall on the shoulders of this man, Belgium's new Tom Boonen, Stijn Van Gent. Tell me, did I pronounce your name correctly?
Van Gent: You certainly did! I just have to say I definitely agree with Andrew. The team really connects and it's been amazing so far. Let the racing begin!
You are aiming for Paris - Roubaix as well, we heard? Is that your kind of race?
Van Gent: Well, much like Tom Boonen, the profile suits me perfectly. I hope to win it one day!
Well, maybe we'll see you showing Tyler where to ride, as Boonen did with Lance once. You may remember. Anyway, the best of luck there, Stijn! Finally, we welcome Willy Wouters. Willy, some say you've been adopted by our great nation?
Willy: Adopted? Well, I've been missing out on my allowance, then! No, seriously, I came here as a neopro to race in Colorado and the public just totally accepted me. It's been great!
Yes, I remember, you finished 2nd. Everyone loves a loser. Just kidding here! Will you be racing in the Tour this season?
Willy: Not this season. I'll be concentrating on the Giro, see if I can do better than last year at the Tour. Peter Stetina is helping me do that!
Oh yes, Peter. Is that little bugger still riding? Just kidding. Thank you all for being here, that's it for now! We thanks Tyler Farrar, our very own kamikaze, Andrew Talansky, our next LeMond, Stijn Van Gent, the new Boonen and Willy Wouters, our long lost son. We thank the audience and good night! God bless America.
