yeah he looked there that no one can touch him.
And how you can't confirm your carrer with 2 wins in the GT? I mean some riders hard get a win all their carrer.
I think what I am saying about Menchov - is I feel that he is a really great Grand Tour champion rider... he has been around for some time now. His only real GT win is the second Vuelta, (the first one he rode well to be second to Heras but it probably doesn't feel like a win) a good win no doubt about it over the likes of Sastre, Evans and Sanchez. But I feel if he were to win the giro that would really confirm him as a guy who could beat anybody over a Grand Tour - I mean we have a really really strong field on great or top form.
He is a strange one Menchov - last year in the tour he looked like he was about to match sastre on l'alpe d'huez and then suddenly fell back. Similar with TT's he seems to consistent get top places without winning them.
I recall seeing him absolutely rip apart a Tour of the Basque country once and thought gee this guy is going to be really good - like Contador good and he is so very nearly there! |

Right now I'm thinking Leipheimer for the TT and Menchov overall.
But of course...anything can happen.

yeah he seemed to be the only one who can go with Sastre, but Sastre left him behind, then the favourite group left him behind. He didn't panick and got back in the group even sprinting in the last metres, which was a pretty good move as he could have lost a lot of time.
And he pretty much lost the Tour last year in a flat stage and on the downhill from Cime de la Bonette.

Do you even watch cycling?
Menchov followed the attack of Sastre, popped, fell behind, regained the group, and then sat playing the silly cat and mouse watch evans game that they all did. He was only dropped for like 500m if that. And that was at the bottom of the climb.

what 500m? He was behind the favourites group for longer than that, way longer I would say. He was left behind after trying to go with Sastre and he got back with only 3-4 km left.

..predict..I wont take that risk. Realy hard one..sooo important day tomorrow..
Who is not succesful tomorrow..then it's bye bye podium..can't wait.
Basso, Sastre, Menchov, Pellizotti, Di Luca..wow situation.
Only prediction I do: Di Luca will make another surprise tomorrow...not a stage win, but.. |

well he can..no problem. When I start following cyclig he was ok climber from Gerolsteiner team..today he is something else (even Contador should but all out to beat him at Vuelta)...why he is so much better? |

Because of the candy he gets at Astana, almost as good as the candy they have at Saxo Bank |

The order is GC reversed. So the maglia rosa will start last.
They'll set off at 1 minute intervals starting at 12:30 CET

Yes, I know the order :-) I wanted to know the start time, thanks... :-) Don't start last 10 (first 10 in GC) riders with 2-minute intervals? I think it's standard... |
