I have been totally blown by vandevelde's performance this year. He had a legit shot had he not crashed.
Sastre's gotta be doping man. Sorry to be so pessimistic. But there is no way sastre is putting in this type of performance.
Of course logical thing is evans peaked too soon. |

Next year Contador will participate and will win.
One thing became clear. Andy Schleck won't win the Tour the coming years, unless he DRASTICALLY improves his time trial |

Sastre would be wise to switch teams or retire. Andy will be the leader next year, no matter what

Sastre will proberbly switch because he's scared that he'll be helper again.

3. He had best team around what rider can hope...

I'd like to go with general explanations (evans peaked early....sastre rode smart...etc etc) but sastre's improvement has been too much. Damsguard has already cited that several of the riders (though significantly less) are still doping but unless you have solid proof you can't. Its just me, but i've learned never to trust anyone linked to armstrong or a spainard...if all my eyars of watching cycling thats just my personal gut emotion.

Phanekim, on one hand, you're praising Vandevelde for his enormeous improvement. On the other hand, you're saying that Sastre doped even though he basically rode the TT as expected. It's Evans and Menchov who have done worse than normally. |

you're alive
I thought for sure you'd faint when Sastre crossed the line

A little bird said that Cancellara might try something on the cobbles in Paris tomorrow, maybe he did not go flat out on the end of todays time trial because he felt to confident that he already had enough to win the stage. And therefor got himself a new goal, being the first one to Champs-Elysées. |
