Also, in German, Belarus is known as Weiss-Russland
So basically White Russia. Does it snow a lot there?
Same in Danish - Hviderusland and in dutch "Wit-Rusland"
and in Norwegian "Hviterussland"
and in portuguese "Porque caralho é que estão a falar dessa merda não faz sentido nenhum parem com isso por amor de deus e tudo o que é sagrado"
or similar...

Italian logic..I dont care who wins Giro..but he should be italian. And then that mr. x (ti)..will be our national hero.
One old Zabel interview after 1997 TdF stage win...I won this year Milano-San Remo. Italians probably dont like it..if I would been italian..they they probably already made golden statue. In this TdF I get some glory payback |

Just look a Boonen, his like a god in Belgium

The difference is between fans supporting their nationality and people who are paid to compete against each other supporting thier own nationality |

The difference is between fans supporting their nationality and people who are paid to compete against each other supporting thier own nationality Well if i would be in a breakaway in a race like the Giro or the TDF, the first person i'd look for is someone of my own nationality. I wouldn't sell the race but helping eachother if possible wouldn't harm me |

I would do the same, Its more should sella sit back and help Ricco win just because they are both Italian |

This year is the Giro going to Spain, and Alberto Contador. It is boring whit a Time Trial as last stage, but tomorrow it will be a fantastic stage. Riccò and Di Luca is going to attack Maglia Rosa, and if Contador do as he did today, will Ricco and The Killer use that.

sella had absolutely nothing whatsoever to gain from doing what he did.
a bit like Di Luca burying himself in 2005 to try to help Simoni win the Giro. only not nearly as scandalous. |

I think atm everyone is just racing for his own position in the GC. Sella did pass Simoni and so did pozzovivo.
Also i think Sella was hoping to shake Vandenbroeck just to have atleast a small margin in the TT |

Also like last year when I remember Cunego pulling Di Luca up a mountain - Zoncolon I think - when Andy Schleck was up ahead.

Sella has said himself multiple times he doesn't care about GC if he can't win the Giro.
with a break so many minutes ahead, what was he doing? |

We all remember last year Zocolan stage..when Cunego pulled Di Luca (at least this looked this way)..and was confirming he's Giro win on that stage. |

Eventhough Contador is hanging tough, I stand by my statement of him winning this race. There's only one stage left for the others to gain sufficient time on him and tomorrow's stage doesn't featue an uphill finish and I can't see how the Di Luca and Ricco should gain enough time on Contador on a stage like tomorrow's.

Sella should have just realised that he wasnt going to Drop Contador and hence he might as well just sit back and try again tommorow |

Anyway no matter what they say, i do think they care about there GC ranking. And if they don't the team will let em think twice cuz sponsors do care. |

In the stage to Bergamo, when Di Luca was isolated and had no more teammates to chase everyone who was ahead, Cunego put his whole team at the front. The ones "ahead" were basically every GC guy except Cunego and Di Luca

the time difference between first and fifth placed the last three times the Mortirolo was used as the last climb on the stage and the top of it was between 30 and 100kms from the finish
6:03
1.33
4:45
I don't think most people realise just how murderously steep it is.

Because of the downhill finish I can see a group of favourites finishing together, unless Savoldelli can work his magic on the descent again tomorrow. Unless yet another break away wins this could gain Ricco a few seconds on Contador, but I cant really see much more of a lead unless he and Di Luca make the early attacks like Di Luca did today, that, I think is the only way to drop Contador.

I can see three at most. I do think Contador will manage to finish in front, but one can never be sure.

I still remember the last time down the Mortirolo he won 50-odd seconds. there's no way he loses only that going up it.

problem is that contador could well gain 2 min on the TT and that is alot of time to gain on a downhill finish especially as the major climb is 50km out. Also Kloden looked strong today and I can see him helping Contador to the finished well within striking range on the TT |
