2nd is decent for Dowsett - but that American is a bit of a pain

Watch out for Andy Talansky in 6th for the US. Top Amateur in the country this year (Cal Giant), rode w/ Leipheimer at the Gila, my darkhorse pick for the overall. As I recall going to Garmin next year.
I think he is strong enough to put in a top 5.
EDIT: At Avenir I mean.

And he has won a couple stages in Europe this season already, and 2nd on a stage last week I believe in a race. |

Probably. It was selective race: 80 riders drop out |

He said in an interview that he was in the front group until 30kms to go where he got stomach cramps.
Nice result for Degenkolb, I look forward to see him next year at HTC.

Quite a dominant win by Degenkolb, really wonder how he will develop as a pro.

Any idea who the new race leader is then? I guess it must either be Delaplace, Dowsett or Matthews - depending on rather the latter 2 finished in the 8 seconds down group

Phinney crashed today. That`s the reason for the big time gap. |

Apart from his fall, he was already dropped.
And Phinney sucks as climber. But that was already generally known |
