I suppose Petacchi could have done it he had a team at all, if they hadn't pushed themselves for DiLuca. One Grand Tour contender and one GT sprinter, priorities have to made, Pettacchi is out on his own. And did I saw right or was he helping in the bunch in a stage the other day pulling the peloton up a hill? |

You got warned about using other languages then english the other day. Now you do it again. Im starting to hope that mods deal with it soon.
It was almost an interesting stage today. A good warmup for tomororw. |

Mmmh... Leipheimer falling, that's not great news for the American. Falling as a GC contender is never good news
We'll really have a great final week after this TT : three mountaintop finishes, a marathon queen stage to Monte Petrano. And why not Sastre winning the Giro ? or Basso ?
They are the only ones that we didn't really see (OK, we saw them, but not really going ftw), and that could do well in 3rd week

And now, for some Pimba songs, courtesy of zemaria:
~The codfish wants garlic, it's the best temper, it's the garlic it gets hard like male pear~
~And if they want hugs and cares, us pimba, us pimba~ |

I keep looking at that TT course and then going back to the GC standings and vice versa - I just really don't know what to expect tomorrow.
Can Di Luca - who has been so impressive in the first half of this race really lose so much time (some may predict 4 minutes)?
Is Leiphiemer going to struggle with the technicality of the downhills?
Rogers was a multi time TT champion but recently has not done so well on TTs' then again recently he has had injuries he looks on form... will he be back to his best in a TT or has that skill faded?
Basso has probably practiced the TT course a gazillion times - will the gazillion and one'th be the perfect ride?
Menchov, can he muster a truly masterful performance (alright he has won two vueltas - but I don't feel his confirmed his career with those)?
Lovkvist? Bruseghin? Pinotti? Popovich? Armstrong? Scarponi?
Or are we reading this wrong, maybe its not the a course suited to the guys who TT well - this maybe one for the likes of Simoni or Pellizotti or even Soler (okay last one was a reach!)
I am going to go for Basso for tomorrows stage. What do you guys think? |

Before making the odds for today, I thought: "It's going to be extremely easy. Him there, the other guy there, and done". When I did it today, I was like you - anything can happen tomorrow. Not only is the contenders one big question - another thing is the route which is very technically difficult, has rather steep hills, etc., etc.
Impossible to predict, but I went for the 'save' bet: Leipheimer. Only downside is that he crashed today. You never really know how much that affects a rider. |

yeah he looked there that no one can touch him.
And how you can't confirm your carrer with 2 wins in the GT? I mean some riders hard get a win all their carrer.
