Never said I disliked them, I just don't like them. They aren't my country, and I have no reason to like them.

Lol at people boycotting the tournament after elimination. Nothing wrong with it at all, but spare a thought for poor football-mad Scotland, worlds joint-oldest football nat team, consistently a top 25 fifa team, but not made the WC or Euros since 1998, when I was 3!
Actually I dont mind this so much cause it allows for a more full enjoyment of the tournament itself, but it would be great when the return finally happens. I wonder if there are other small nations with a big football culture and high fifa rankings that suffer from this curse...?
Well at least you have an ok chance for Euro's with 2 automatically qualifying now and 3rd place in playoffs. Bet Sco and Ireland were fuming as one of those will likely miss out. As Poland and and even bigger team in in You're group. I'd love Scotland their they offer so much to football but just don't produce good players anymore do they. |

My word choice was a bit hyberbolic No problem with the situation, i just find it somewhat humorous/ironic compared to scotlands woes!
Still, its taught me that lessening loyalty & patriotism in entertainement/sports can often offer a deeper, more dynamic and personalised experience.
@atlanta Yep, recent pool of players always seems to be just bellow the required ability. 24 team rule is hopefully a saving grace for sure!

mostly no reason to like them so I dislike them (Colombia, France, Belgium, Costa Rica), not liking the teams some of the players play for (Messi, Neymar). the public being hypocrits (The Netherlands).
what makes me like a team is if one of the players has played for my favorite team (Romero , Moreno , Altidore & Johannson ). being Germany

Had so many things to say after that post, but sometimes a meme is the best way to put it
baseballlover312, 06-03-14 : "Nuke Moscow...Don't worry Russia, we've got plenty of love to go around your cities"
Sarah Palin, 08-03-14 (CPAC, on Russian aggression) : "The only thing that stops a bad guy with a nuke is a good guy with a nuke"

Tommorow's (aka today) schedule is insane. I feel that we will see the match of the tournament from one of the two matches... My only concern is that my bizzaro summer holiday sleeping patterns might mean i miss the action due to a lack of conciousness |

I fucking hope that final will be France - Argentina!!! I'm fan of these countries from 2002. And every WC something goes wrong...

Lahm as midfielder -> France wins
Lahm as right back, Höwedes/Boateng as left back -> hard to judge
Lahm as right back, Durm/Großkreutz as left back -> Germany wins
I really hope Löw is finally changing his mind after so many World and European Cups of bad decisions by him...

Fan of France since 2002 ? Why not 98 ? They did nothing in 2002
@Roturn : i have to say that in France, we all hope that he will keep Lahm in midllefield. Because Griezmann and Benzeman can destroy Boateng on the left, but they can't do it with Lahm. And Lahm in middelfield is easier for Pogba/cabaye/Matuidi than Khedira !

Exactly this is why more or less nobody can understand why Löw is playing like this...
Newest rumours have him still in the Midfield and Großkreutz as right back.
But apparently they also tried him on the left and Großkreutz on the right. Which would actually my preferred tactic next to Durm/Lahm as wing backs. |

Put Lahm anywhere you want -> France should be considered favorites. |

I think Germany will take this tie as long as they keep Benzema quiet |

No one posts here during the match (quite contrary to TDF), yet a bunch of off-topic convos are spurred after the match it seems

In 98 I was 3, in 2000 I was 5. I think that I didn't thought about football in those times) So, my ultras career started in 2002.

I can't post during a Germany-France game. It will just resort to war jokes.

I'm curious, what is the organizers' (or FIFA's?) problem with the banners the German fans bring? They were everywhere during Germany's first game, but someone seems to really have cracked down on that since... |
