Garmin - End of 3rd Season - Continue in PCM11
ricotero_uy
Congratz for the 100 pages!!!

Do you think Luisle could reach the top5? Is kind of impossible to beat Porte by a minute.

FreitasPCM
Luis Leon up to 8th, maybe he can gain some positions? Smile

tsmoha
Nice 3rd place with LLS!

Alakagom
Sanchez looking in prime fitness . After two Tours Garmin will have a serious contender this time round. Sanchez will be a real contender.

Thanks all.
@ricotero_uy top 5 is quite impossible as Porte is a good time trialist. He was ITT World Champion in 2011. But 6th would be nice.
@ alakagom His fitness is quite good at the moment and will become a bit better in the next weeks. But he is just a contender for a top 10 result. His climbing abilities are same as Hesjedal, who felt out of the top 10 due to his lack in time trials.
But he won`t be able to challenge the top 5 guys. Therefore he isn`t good enough in climbing.

Tour de Suisse - Stage 9
Schaffhausen ITT
i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-9-1.jpg
The Tour de Suisse finishes with a 32km hilly time trial. First 2/3 are completely flat before the climb starts. Hopefully LL Sanchez can do well today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-9-2.jpg
Martin is the big favourite today. He had some problems on the mountains. But this is no real surprise after being on his top level all over the early season. But in his best discipline he takes the lead.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-9-3.jpg
Sanchez on his way. His time could be better but we will see later how good this time is.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-9-4.jpg
Txurruka can`t ride as good as in the mountains and will definitely be overtaken by Sanchez. One point for us.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-9-5.jpg
Also Frank Schleck couldn`t do very well and will lose his 6th to Sanchez, who reached the maximum today.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-9-6.jpg
Richie Porte was faster than Sanchez and keeps his 5th.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-9-7.jpg
Gesink also can`t challenge Contador of course but his 2nd shows his talent.

i1101.photobucket.com/albums/g434/Roturn1988/06%20June/TdS-9-8.jpg
Contador with a nice ride but different to the prologue he had no chance today to beat Martin. But he will win the TdS 2012 and is also the biggest favourite for the Tour now.

Banana i think it's a great result 6th with lls which is not in his best form Grin

ricotero_uy
Well done by Luisle!!! Contador looking really strong and also Gesink. Do you have defined the team for the TdF?

Pellizotti2
Great result with LLS in the TT and nice result overall. Well done.

Nice results! You did a really great job getting a few places back in the GC, a shame you lost half a minute before. Are your riders ready for the Tour!?

Thanks. Actually all riders ahead of Sanchez are better climbers than him. Also F.Schleck, Kreuziger and Van Garderen are the same or better. So the 6th is definitely ok for me with this start list.

@ricotero_uy: Indeed Contador seems to be unbeatable. Hopefully for me Astana and Leopard aren`t participating with this squad in the TdF. Then the top 10 will be out of range probably. Wink
My TdF squad: Sanchez, Fuglsang, Haussler, Hunter, Vansummeren, Lowe, Meyer, Millar, Löw. A big presentation will be posted later after all the Nationals. I hope this will be enough in the mountains. Depends how long Vansummeren, Löw and Lowe can stay with our leaders. Probably Fuglsang has to help Sanchez a lot later on the climbs.

BTW: Next to the TdS I played Ster Elektotoer, I won`T do the race reports as it wasn`t that exciting. So just the results now:

Ster Elektrotoer

Stage 1: Prologue
1Lars BoomGarmin - Cervelo

Overall

1Lars BoomGarmin - Cervelo12h48'31
2Preben Van HeckeLandbouwkrediet+ 11
3Thibaut PinotFDJ+ 33

So Boom was continuing his successful after Giro time. He kept a good form all over this month to be one of the Dutch ITT favourites.

Batista15
Contador will be unbeatable in France! Great overall win with Boom..congrats to that Smile

Anonymer
Nice wins with Boom, great 6th with Sanchez

Lots af luck to you :-)
Go Team Saxobank!!

Thanks all.
Next the ITT championships. Our best chances are the US American with Pate, Netherland with Boom, Fuglsang in Denmark and Sanchez in Spain. But in all countries there are better or quite equal riders.

i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc62/jolly_anutnes/daily/USA.png
1Levi LeipheimerTeam RadioShack46'34
2Tejay Van GarderenTeam HTC - Highroad+ 46
3Taylor PhinneyTrek Livestrong U23+ 1'33
4Phil ZajicekFly V Australia+ 1'36
5Steven CozzaPSK Whirlpool - Authors.t.

Danny Pate as 7th couldn`t fight for the win. His form wasn`t very good actually.

i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc62/jolly_anutnes/daily/GBR.png
1Bradley WigginsSky Professional Cycling Team1h12'37
2Ian StannardSky Professional Cycling Team+ 2'44
3Alex DowsettSky Professional Cycling Team+ 2'52
4David MillarGarmin - Cervelo+ 3'09
5Callum WilkinsonCeramica Flaminia+ 4'12

It`s no surprise that Wiggins takes the win, but Millar was quite disappointed that he was beaten by two other Sky riders.

i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc62/jolly_anutnes/daily/BEL.png
1Dominique CornuSkil - Shimano32'49
2Tom BoonenQuick Step - Innergetic+ 44
3Stijn DevolderQuick Step - Innergetic+ 1'09
4Maxime MonfortTeam HTC - Highroad+ 1'10
5Jurgen Van den BroeckOmega Pharma-Lotto+ 1'28

Cornu won quite dominant. As expected Vansummeren isn`t in the top 10.

i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc62/jolly_anutnes/daily/DEN.png
1Brian Bach VandborgLiquigas - Cannondale54'26
2Lars Ytting BakVorarlberg - Corratec+ 9
3Lasse BøchmanTeam Designa Køkken - Blue Water+ 42
4Jakob FuglsangGarmin - Cervelo+ 1'01
5André SteensenTeam Designa Køkken - Blue Water+ 1'07

Bak was the big favourite here but Vandborg seems to be in a great shape. Fuglsang as 4th is nearly where he was expected.

i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc62/jolly_anutnes/daily/GER.png
1Tony MartinTeam HTC - Highroad36'39
2Linus GerdemannLeopard Trek+ 43
3Paul MartensRabobank+ 1'02
4Marcel SiebergTeam NetApp+ 1'25
5Dominik RoelsTeam NetApp+ 1'49

Of course Martin took the win. But Löw as 12th beating riders like Kittel, Grabsch, Gretsch or Klöden was a surprise. Looking forward to his next improvement.

3Jos Van EmdenRabobank+ 57

A pity that Boom wasn`t able to beat the strong Rabobank guys once again.

3David O'LoughlinAn Post - Sean Kelly+ 3'33
4Connor McConveyAn Post - Sean Kelly+ 4'04
5Daniel MartinGarmin - Cervelo+ 4'32

Martin without any chance. Another reason to sign Roche actually. Unfortunately we heard of other interests, especially HTC wants him, too.

i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc62/jolly_anutnes/daily/SPA.png
1Alberto ContadorAstana47'10
2Luis León Sánchez GilGarmin - Cervelo+ 2'47
3Jose Ivan GutierrezTeam Movistar+ 2'54
4Samuel SánchezEuskaltel - Euskadi+ 3'13
5Jonathan CastroviejoEuskaltel - Euskadi+ 3'34

As in the TdS Contador was unbeatable. Sanchez as 2nd with a good result.

So no National ITT wins for us this time.

Anonymer
Too bad you couldn't take a win, especially Boom in the netherlands after winning Ster Elektrotoer

And congratulations to 2000 replies if I didn't mention it before

roturn
Thanks. Indeed Boom was the only big favourite of my team, but Clement was just too strong.

And ahead of the Tour de France quickly the Road Championships.

i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc62/jolly_anutnes/daily/USA.png
1Tejay Van GarderenTeam HTC - Highroad5h58'32
2Levi LeipheimerTeam RadioShacks.t.
3George HincapieTeam HTC - Highroad+ 18
4Lance ArmstrongTeam RadioShacks.t.
5Peter StetinaGarmin - Cervelos.t.

With Farrar as main leader and Stetina as co leader we started the race. Unfortunately Farrar lost contact on the last climb, although he had full energy left. So Stetina and Pate were our only rider in the first group of ~10 riders. Butler and Hincapie had attacked and were 50s ahead with 15km to go, so Stetina attacked and other riders followed. In the sprint Stetina then had no chance against the others. Van Garderen and Leipheimer even created a gap then.

3Chris FroomeSky Professional Cycling Team+ 31
4Ian StannardSky Professional Cycling Team+ 44
5Peter KennaughSky Professional Cycling Teams.t.
6David MillarGarmin - Cervelos.t.

Also no chance here with Millar. Biggest surprise was Cavendish, who outclimbed some favourites. Wiggins double champion next season.

1Nick NuyensLiquigas - Cannondale5h40'07

3Stijn DevolderQuick Step - Innergetics.t.
4Jelle VanendertOmega Pharma-Lotto+ 18
5Frederik WillemsLiquigas - Cannondales.t.

Also no chance with Vansummeren, who lost contact in the end due to his average form. He really has to get some more fitness points before the Tour starts.

5Bobbie TrakselVacansoleil Pro Cycling Team+ 1'03

None of our riders were able to follow Hoogerland`s attack. What a pity as I really hoped to win this one.

After his injury in 2011 Roche takes the win again. Martin is the best climber but not that good on flat stages.

No National wins at all in this period. Our sponsor isn`t very happy about this face. We will give our best to perform better in the next season.

We already started talks with possible signings. Especially some Americans were on our list. Names will be announced later.

Bad luck that Garmin will be without a National-jersey from now on Sad Hopefully, the TdF will be much more succesfull! Can't wait for it Wink
