Congratz for the 100 pages!!!
Do you think Luisle could reach the top5? Is kind of impossible to beat Porte by a minute. |

Sanchez looking in prime fitness . After two Tours Garmin will have a serious contender this time round. Sanchez will be a real contender.

Thanks all.
@ricotero_uy top 5 is quite impossible as Porte is a good time trialist. He was ITT World Champion in 2011. But 6th would be nice.
@ alakagom His fitness is quite good at the moment and will become a bit better in the next weeks. But he is just a contender for a top 10 result. His climbing abilities are same as Hesjedal, who felt out of the top 10 due to his lack in time trials.
But he won`t be able to challenge the top 5 guys. Therefore he isn`t good enough in climbing. |

Tour de Suisse - Stage 9
Schaffhausen ITT
The Tour de Suisse finishes with a 32km hilly time trial. First 2/3 are completely flat before the climb starts. Hopefully LL Sanchez can do well today.
Martin is the big favourite today. He had some problems on the mountains. But this is no real surprise after being on his top level all over the early season. But in his best discipline he takes the lead.
Sanchez on his way. His time could be better but we will see later how good this time is.
Txurruka can`t ride as good as in the mountains and will definitely be overtaken by Sanchez. One point for us.
Also Frank Schleck couldn`t do very well and will lose his 6th to Sanchez, who reached the maximum today.
Richie Porte was faster than Sanchez and keeps his 5th.
Gesink also can`t challenge Contador of course but his 2nd shows his talent.
Contador with a nice ride but different to the prologue he had no chance today to beat Martin. But he will win the TdS 2012 and is also the biggest favourite for the Tour now.
Result
Overall
I unfortunately clicked on next instead of export. So no full results in the end. |

Nice results! You did a really great job getting a few places back in the GC, a shame you lost half a minute before. Are your riders ready for the Tour!?

Thanks. Actually all riders ahead of Sanchez are better climbers than him. Also F.Schleck, Kreuziger and Van Garderen are the same or better. So the 6th is definitely ok for me with this start list.
@ricotero_uy: Indeed Contador seems to be unbeatable. Hopefully for me Astana and Leopard aren`t participating with this squad in the TdF. Then the top 10 will be out of range probably.
My TdF squad: Sanchez, Fuglsang, Haussler, Hunter, Vansummeren, Lowe, Meyer, Millar, Löw. A big presentation will be posted later after all the Nationals. I hope this will be enough in the mountains. Depends how long Vansummeren, Löw and Lowe can stay with our leaders. Probably Fuglsang has to help Sanchez a lot later on the climbs.
BTW: Next to the TdS I played Ster Elektotoer, I won`T do the race reports as it wasn`t that exciting. So just the results now:
Ster Elektrotoer
Stage 1: Prologue
1 | Lars Boom | Garmin - Cervelo | | 2 | Lieuwe Westra | Rabobank | + 6 | 3 | Ignatas Konovalovas | Team Saxobank - Sungard | + 8 |
Stage 2:
1 | Jens Keukeleire | Cofidis, le Credit en Ligne | | 2 | Danilo Wyss | Team Saxobank - Sungard | s.t. | 3 | Lars Boom | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. |
Stage 3:
1 | Rémy Di Grégorio | FDJ | | 2 | Lars Boom | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 3 | Volodymir Gustov | Sky Professional Cycling Team | s.t. |
Stage 4:
1 | Preben Van Hecke | Landbouwkrediet | 2 | Thibaut Pinot | FDJ | +8 | 3 | Francesco Reda | Quick Step - Innergetic | +17 | ... | 10 | Lars Boom | Garmin - Cervelo | +1'06 |
Stage 5:
1 | Frederik Veuchelen | Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team | | 2 | Raivis BelohvoÅ¡čiks | Ceramica Flaminia | s.t. | 3 | Maarten Neyens | Topsport Vlaanderen - Mercator | +31 | ... | 14 | Lars Boom | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. |
Overall
1 | Lars Boom | Garmin - Cervelo | 12h48'31 | 2 | Preben Van Hecke | Landbouwkrediet | + 11 | 3 | Thibaut Pinot | FDJ | + 33 |
So Boom was continuing his successful after Giro time. He kept a good form all over this month to be one of the Dutch ITT favourites. |

Thanks all.
Next the ITT championships. Our best chances are the US American with Pate, Netherland with Boom, Fuglsang in Denmark and Sanchez in Spain. But in all countries there are better or quite equal riders.
1 | Levi Leipheimer | Team RadioShack | 46'34 | 2 | Tejay Van Garderen | Team HTC - Highroad | + 46 | 3 | Taylor Phinney | Trek Livestrong U23 | + 1'33 | 4 | Phil Zajicek | Fly V Australia | + 1'36 | 5 | Steven Cozza | PSK Whirlpool - Author | s.t. |
Danny Pate as 7th couldn`t fight for the win. His form wasn`t very good actually.
1 | Bradley Wiggins | Sky Professional Cycling Team | 1h12'37 | 2 | Ian Stannard | Sky Professional Cycling Team | + 2'44 | 3 | Alex Dowsett | Sky Professional Cycling Team | + 2'52 | 4 | David Millar | Garmin - Cervelo | + 3'09 | 5 | Callum Wilkinson | Ceramica Flaminia | + 4'12 |
It`s no surprise that Wiggins takes the win, but Millar was quite disappointed that he was beaten by two other Sky riders.
1 | Dominique Cornu | Skil - Shimano | 32'49 | 2 | Tom Boonen | Quick Step - Innergetic | + 44 | 3 | Stijn Devolder | Quick Step - Innergetic | + 1'09 | 4 | Maxime Monfort | Team HTC - Highroad | + 1'10 | 5 | Jurgen Van den Broeck | Omega Pharma-Lotto | + 1'28 |
Cornu won quite dominant. As expected Vansummeren isn`t in the top 10.
1 | Brian Bach Vandborg | Liquigas - Cannondale | 54'26 | 2 | Lars Ytting Bak | Vorarlberg - Corratec | + 9 | 3 | Lasse Bøchman | Team Designa Køkken - Blue Water | + 42 | 4 | Jakob Fuglsang | Garmin - Cervelo | + 1'01 | 5 | André Steensen | Team Designa Køkken - Blue Water | + 1'07 |
Bak was the big favourite here but Vandborg seems to be in a great shape. Fuglsang as 4th is nearly where he was expected.
1 | Tony Martin | Team HTC - Highroad | 36'39 | 2 | Linus Gerdemann | Leopard Trek | + 43 | 3 | Paul Martens | Rabobank | + 1'02 | 4 | Marcel Sieberg | Team NetApp | + 1'25 | 5 | Dominik Roels | Team NetApp | + 1'49 |
Of course Martin took the win. But Löw as 12th beating riders like Kittel, Grabsch, Gretsch or Klöden was a surprise. Looking forward to his next improvement.
1 | Adriano Malori | Ceramica Flaminia | 41'12 | 2 | Vincenzo Nibali | Lampre-ISD | + 12 | 3 | Alessandro Ballan | Lampre-ISD | + 26 | 4 | Ivan Basso | Lampre-ISD | + 28 | 5 | Tiziano Dall'Antonia | Liquigas - Cannondale | s.t. |
1 | Stef Clement | Rabobank | 1h09'23 | 2 | Lars Boom | Garmin - Cervelo | + 55 | 3 | Jos Van Emden | Rabobank | + 57 | 4 | Joost Posthuma | Rabobank | + 1'01 | 5 | Rick Flens | Rabobank | + 1'12 |
A pity that Boom wasn`t able to beat the strong Rabobank guys once again.
1 | Nicolas Roche | Ag2r La Mondiale | 47'39 | 2 | Matthew Brammeier | An Post - Sean Kelly | + 3'06 | 3 | David O'Loughlin | An Post - Sean Kelly | + 3'33 | 4 | Connor McConvey | An Post - Sean Kelly | + 4'04 | 5 | Daniel Martin | Garmin - Cervelo | + 4'32 |
Martin without any chance. Another reason to sign Roche actually. Unfortunately we heard of other interests, especially HTC wants him, too.
1 | Alberto Contador | Astana | 47'10 | 2 | Luis León Sánchez Gil | Garmin - Cervelo | + 2'47 | 3 | Jose Ivan Gutierrez | Team Movistar | + 2'54 | 4 | Samuel Sánchez | Euskaltel - Euskadi | + 3'13 | 5 | Jonathan Castroviejo | Euskaltel - Euskadi | + 3'34 |
As in the TdS Contador was unbeatable. Sanchez as 2nd with a good result.
1 | Jean-Christoph Peraud | Omega Pharma - Lotto |
1 | Mikhail Ignatiev | Team Katusha |
1 | Andrey Kasheshkin | Lampre - ISD |
So no National ITT wins for us this time. |

Too bad you couldn't take a win, especially Boom in the netherlands after winning Ster Elektrotoer
And congratulations to 2000 replies if I didn't mention it before |

Thanks. Indeed Boom was the only big favourite of my team, but Clement was just too strong.
And ahead of the Tour de France quickly the Road Championships.
1 | Tejay Van Garderen | Team HTC - Highroad | 5h58'32 | 2 | Levi Leipheimer | Team RadioShack | s.t. | 3 | George Hincapie | Team HTC - Highroad | + 18 | 4 | Lance Armstrong | Team RadioShack | s.t. | 5 | Peter Stetina | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. |
With Farrar as main leader and Stetina as co leader we started the race. Unfortunately Farrar lost contact on the last climb, although he had full energy left. So Stetina and Pate were our only rider in the first group of ~10 riders. Butler and Hincapie had attacked and were 50s ahead with 15km to go, so Stetina attacked and other riders followed. In the sprint Stetina then had no chance against the others. Van Garderen and Leipheimer even created a gap then.
1 | Bradley Wiggins | Sky Professional Cycling Team | 4h14'27 | 2 | Mark Cavendish | Team HTC - Highroad | + 17 | 3 | Chris Froome | Sky Professional Cycling Team | + 31 | 4 | Ian Stannard | Sky Professional Cycling Team | + 44 | 5 | Peter Kennaugh | Sky Professional Cycling Team | s.t. | 6 | David Millar | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. |
Also no chance here with Millar. Biggest surprise was Cavendish, who outclimbed some favourites. Wiggins double champion next season.
1 | Nick Nuyens | Liquigas - Cannondale | 5h40'07 | 2 | Jurgen Van den Broeck | Omega Pharma-Lotto | + 10 | 3 | Stijn Devolder | Quick Step - Innergetic | s.t. | 4 | Jelle Vanendert | Omega Pharma-Lotto | + 18 | 5 | Frederik Willems | Liquigas - Cannondale | s.t. |
Also no chance with Vansummeren, who lost contact in the end due to his average form. He really has to get some more fitness points before the Tour starts.
1 | Matti Breschel | Leopard Trek | 4h46'24 | 2 | Nicki Sørensen | Leopard Trek | s.t. | 3 | Chris Anker Sørensen | Skil - Shimano | s.t. | 4 | Martin Pedersen | Team Geox | + 16 | 5 | Rasmus Guldhammer | Leopard Trek | s.t. |
1 | Marcel Sieberg | Team NetApp | 4h33'07 | 2 | Paul Voß | Team NetApp | + 24 | 3 | Gerald Ciolek | Team NetApp | + 37 | 4 | Dominic Klemme | Leopard Trek | s.t. | 5 | David Kopp | Team Kuota - Indeland | s.t. |
NetApp domination on the "Rund um die Hainleite" course, that will be ridden later the year again.
1 | Francesco Ginanni | Lampre-ISD | 6h23'44 | 2 | Dario Cataldo | Quick Step - Innergetic | s.t. | 3 | Alessandro Ballan | Lampre-ISD | + 9 | 4 | Damiano Cunego | Lampre-ISD | + 22 | 5 | Matteo Carrara | Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team | s.t. |
Felline wasn`t able to repeat his success of last year on a very hard route.
1 | Johnny Hoogerland | Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team | 5h17'07 | 2 | Tom Veelers | Skil - Shimano | + 8 | 3 | Joost Posthuma | Rabobank | + 31 | 4 | Martijn Maaskant | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 5 | Bobbie Traksel | Vacansoleil Pro Cycling Team | + 1'03 | 6 | Lars Boom | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. |
None of our riders were able to follow Hoogerland`s attack. What a pity as I really hoped to win this one.
1 | Nicolas Roche | Ag2r La Mondiale | 3h58'23 | 2 | Páidà O'Brien | An Post - Sean Kelly | + 24 | 3 | Daniel Martin | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 4 | Connor McConvey | An Post - Sean Kelly | s.t. | 5 | Ronan McLaughlin | An Post - Sean Kelly | + 1'58 |
After his injury in 2011 Roche takes the win again. Martin is the best climber but not that good on flat stages.
1 | Alberto Contador | Astana | 5h13'39 | 2 | Amets Txurruka | Euskaltel - Euskadi | s.t. | 3 | Samuel Sánchez | Euskaltel - Euskadi | s.t. | 4 | Luis León Sánchez Gil | Garmin - Cervelo | s.t. | 5 | David Arroyo | Team Movistar | + 8 |
Rojas couldn`t follow the attacks and so LL Sanchez was our hope. He was in the right group in the end but had no energy left in the sprint. So Contador will wear both jerseys.
1 | Juan Mauricio Soler | Astana |
1 | Yaroslav Popovych | Farnese-Vini |
1 | Fabian Cancellara | Leopard - Trek |
1 | Simon Spilak | Team RadioShack |
1 | Remi Pauriol | Team Movistar |
1 | Roman Kreuziger | Liquigas - Cannondale |
1 | Denis Galimzyanov | Team Katusha |
1 | Tiago Machado | Team RadioShack |
No National wins at all in this period. Our sponsor isn`t very happy about this face. We will give our best to perform better in the next season.
We already started talks with possible signings. Especially some Americans were on our list. Names will be announced later. |
