38,3 km/h.
What gear were you using ? Was it flat, curvy (enough to force you to slow down and/or break) or something ? |

Check who came third there :
https://www.strava...1481493819
Who's the man now ?
j/k, there's a slightly shorter segment on the same road, where he climbed 35 seconds faster than the guy who's first on the one I'm showing here (and both only climbed it once, so he must have totally cut his effort).

Congrats, I'm expecting 3 GT stages from you next year
On another note how come only a few people have ever riden the climbs near you on Strava? I know the population density is greater where I am but still, I'm lucky to find a climb with less than 500 riders registering a time.
On a further note I came to within a few seconds of getting a top 10 on a climb today but no cigar - come on is just one trophy asking too much for my husk of a body and my tank of a bike!? |

Well, Strava is all in English, and ze French struggle to speak or bother reading English, so I guess that's why it's not so popular. But it's not so bad around my parents (where that climb is), it's even worst here. I don't think the population density is relevant, there are plenty of cyclists on the roads, especially during weekends, with nice and expensive gear, but probably with no clue about Strava. |

Yes, that makes a lot of sense. Assumed without looking that it would support multiple langauages. Money to be made there with a bit of translation work. |

Hell no, I'll lose 99 % of my KOM if that ever happens.
Not that I've ever been a climber or that I am a legit owner of KOM titles anyway.
edit : challenge accepted for the 3 stages win in a GT , but that wouldn't make the same impact since I'm older than Barguil.
More seriously, I was wondering if with all my KOM titles, some ahead of cat. 3 or sometimes even cat. 2 riders, some local club would try to get in touch with me, but that hasn't happened yet.
I signed an athletics licence anyway, so I'd probably turn down the offer.

Horner is making an "impact" and he's older. Would recommend drinking plenty of beetroot juice like Chris and maybe it'll become a reality... |

Just joined the Strava group, I'm pretty slow and out of condition, but it'll be good to see my improvements. (if there are going to be any ) |

Doesn't look like much riding for me this week. 6 big fires near where l live. Air quality is horrendous. Also, the avg wind speed for the next week is over 25kph. Either gonna have to get up at the crack of dawn to go long, or only short sharp rides. Booooooo! |

I wish they made Strava for Windows Phone I could really do with the extra motivation at the moment to get out on the bike... This knee thing has totally killed my summer riding, and frankly i will only get out three times a week at best once im back at uni...
Also, what tyre pressures would you recommend for cobbles? Normal 23mm tyres. I've got one or two nice cobbled "climbs" and town centers nearby and i would love to tackle them properly, but am afraid of lots of punctures/lack of control

Wow, that's an awesome ride. I wish we had climbs like that where I live. I absolutely love climbing - the longer the climb, the better.

Get Endomondo. Record the rides on that, export them, and upload them to Strava. I think a couple of users mentioned doing that earlier in the thread, and Ive started using Endomondo on my Android and doing the export/upload to Strava thing as the Strava app was playing up.
