some ideas:
1. Observation, when a rider gets the task to observe his next to him rider he should stick to him and..... OBSERVE!!! When the other rider is moving back or foward in the peleton your spy is stuck in his position and you have to move him manually back and forth.
2. Prize money, etc:
Should be a lot more detailed finance-page.
When you are winning something, lets say Parice-Nice you get 70.000 euro on your account. At the same time you won the climb jersey and a rider at place nr.4 in total.. What pays what?
Offcourse the yellow is the best, but thats not always an option, so should I go for the sprint jersey? the climb? or 5th on the final classification?
This could be an important issue specially if you needs the money to pay wages..
On the account page you have only the last 2-3 weeks or so, that could be more detailed aswell since you have to pinpoint your races for the next season.
3. Transfer:
Now you adjust the salery and the status offerd and hope for the best.
What if you can offer the rider a special race where his is the boss? Now its no problem going with Contador, A.Schleck, Kreuziger, Gesink++ in the same race..
(Im not quite sure if you guys understands this last part here, hehe , but the idea is more options towards a rider during transfer season)
4. Statistics:
More stored info on riders as the seasons pass by.
The only thing you can look at now is victories, 2nd, 3rd and 4-10.
A page on each rider with all his historie, numbers of races, days, status, progress and so on..
(If you play the FM game you should have a small idea, and yes I know the staff in these two companies are of different size) |

it would be awsome if you could choose 1 ridere made or a real one and you start a carreer with him. of course you could only control him and you start as a young rider by the promesas and you get scout by a team from a continental team or a pro tour team. and you can choose you one speciality. |

the ability to set a contract length in the editor
too often my main guy has a 1 year contract and gets poached leaving me with no real leader (although Kirchen may do) and unrealistic goals (win TDF, which would be ideal for my poached leader who won Giro last year) |

There are enough editors which support contract lenght editing.
Obviously the official editor does not support such a thing because this editor was created to edit the DB not the saves (which would be cheating). |

It's the toads, man. It's the toads. They make you hallucinate stuff.
I keep tellin' ya they slip mushrooms into your drink when you're not looking
*puts on fancy professor glasses and graduation hat*
You see, the joke there is that you're supposed to think I'm referring to the hallucinogenic practice of licking certain species of poisonous toads until the joke runs away from that midway through.
And the whole scene unfolds with a tedious inevitability

the one thing that needs improving in pcm is crashes.
too often one rider will crash at the front of the pack and riders ride straight through them without crashing. |

In this game cyclists can ride through each other when sitting on bike, why shouldn't they be able to do so when falling?

You mean ACDC ,Van Halen , The Who, Guess Who, Michael Jackson etc.
All the new stuff people like for a week and then its gone.
I do agree that the music in EA games is terrible and for the record no one in North America (except a few) like the music in EA games anyway.

I haven't played the PCM series since the 06-version but recently bought PCM 09. I was happy to see the following improvements:
- Simplified training
- Managing rider season goals no longer a painstaking procedure
- Graphics
- The new water/food solution
- Rider form varying from day-to-day racing
I was surprised to see the following problems not being addressed though:
- Magazine articles, media related questions after podium places and so on simply doesn't work. Poor language and no real meaning to it. Abundant.
- Planning a rider's season is on the whole very time consuming and bothersome. An implemented in-game feature where a whole season can be planned beforehand would be very welcome
- Game crashes too frequently although patched. Often towards the end of a race...
- No simple overview for finances, including rider contracts, purchases and sales and winnings
- Horrible voice acting (in these modern times, how on Earth is it possible not to correct this!? Don't blame costs...)
- Music, although better than 06, still got that "homemade" feeling and generally makes your ears ache.
That's about it. |

You could use my tool to plan a season: https://www.pcmdai...hp?did=634
If the game crashes towards the end of a race you have to reduce the graphic options (no matter how good your computer is, just do it)
At least the game tells you approx. how much budget you will get for the next year. |

Already using your planner - it's great! Fantastic work. But it would have been easier if they had managed to integrate it somehow.
I'll try reducing the graphics. Is it an AA problem or related to specific cards?
Regarding the budget: That's true. But is is only a minimum of what one would expect. |

My suggestions for PCM improvements aimed at making races more real are:
- Punctures should be more frequent, and there should be the ability for team-mates to handle wheels, consequently reducing the time the punctured rider loses. This has the secondary advantage of giving further importance to having team-mates around (particularly on one day races);
- there should be feeding zones (1 or 2 in accordance with race length, just as in real races) during the race, possibly with the ability to influence riders strengths. Maybe this would have to be associated with a more complicated energy system that could involve having to take food to preserve energy (instead of the one-hit wonder energy bar).
Having for example guys like Contador in Paris-Nice last year forget to eat and then fade away should exist in the game. Form of the day is not enough to represent this possibility.
