When does PCM.daily's 2010 DB (Or whatever guys you call it) come? You have said before, that it would come late December/early January? |

We'll release it at some point this week as a Public Beta. |

Let's say that Contador, being the best climber, has 84 in MO. You don't like the stats matrix, so you give him 80 in MO instead.
Few years later, you find a young talent (generated rider) that has 84 in MO. The reason for this is that the young rider files haven't been changed to match your matrix.
Ahh now I understand thanks for the answers but does that mean with your matrix, that there are speciel generated riders that you have given the good stats or is it always different? without changing the stats |

We've changed the files which determine how the young riders evolve. We haven't added any 'special' young riders - they are still 100 % generated by the AI. |

Does that mean you are nearly finished and we as players should find bugs? (if there are any) then may I ask how much work do you still need? If that is allowed to puplic |

I assume the best way to get going with this 2010 version is going to be to move the entire Cyanide folder from Program Files, and stick it somewhere else. Then put the PCM folder in My Documents in the same place.
Then reinstall the game, then download the 2010 DB?
That would give me the 2010 DB ready to use, with the 2009 game with PCMdaily2009DB in reserve/backedup. |

What I do is that I have a clean PCM09 folder - just the standard installation and nothing else. When I want to use a DB, I make a copy of the standard game folder and rename it to the DB's name, and I then install the DB to that folder. |

Are you sure you're editing the save game? Are you sure you didn't, by mistake, edit the original database?

Is it possible to make that mod so the game run easier with all the new equipment? The mod made for PCM08 worked very well.

Most of the equipment is already low-res. |

I'm a bit confused regarding variants of stage races.
The TdF route for 2010 (in the rules.xml) is the one that shows up in 2010. But the rules file also has a variant that is set to 2009, which obviously didn't show up in 09 because of the original route (Monaco start).
But the Dauphine has one variant, which is set to 2009 in the rules.xml, and in my carreer it's the route for 2010. Which I can understand as it's the only vaiant available. But why does the xml say 2009?
Will the TdF-route that is set to 2009 come in 2012, after the two variants for 2010 and 2011 are used? Or do I have to change the "2009" in rules.xml to "2012"?
(hope I exlplained well enough) |

Can't really answer that since I don't have the original files for the 2009 DB.
However, if you look next to the TdF variant set for 2009, there's a variant_min and variant_max. Should be the same number. If this number is represented in one of the following years, that variant will be used.
If it's not, the route won't change after the last year of the variant file. |

This is how it says in the rules file:
<defined year="2009" variantMin="3" variantMax="3" />
<defined year="2010" variantMin="2" variantMax="2" />
<defined year="2011" variantMin="1" variantMax="1" />
So this means variant3 is completely forgotten about, as long as I don't insert the line "defined year="2012"" ? |

Yes.
In the 2010 DB, we've made sure to 'extend' the life of the variants, so e.g. the 2009-route is reused in 2012, 2010-route in 2013 and the 2011 route in 2014. I'm pretty sure we did the same with one of the 2009 DB's.
Inserting the '2012'-line won't help in save games, as the information is loaded into the save game on career start. |
