From my point of view, low difficulty is only little weakness of your absolutely brilliant story |

1st of July - 1st of August
Main task during this period was go to the August as fast as possible
And now seriously step by step:
1) of course I have participated in some races. First was Polish stage race Course de Solidarnosc. My line up was pretty weak and out of shape there, so I simulated all stages. I haven´t seen even any partial success as expected. Next race was Tour de Delta in Canada. This race contains short time trial and two flat stages. Again, everything was simulated. I was really surprised, when David O´Loughlin won opening time trial and wore yellow jersey until last day. He didn´t keep it though, due to bonus seconds from sprint David England (Amore & Vita) could celebrate overall victory. But 2nd place is just perfect. Last simulated race was Italian Brixia Tour. This race is for climbers, so it´s not big surprise that my riders finished in second half of general classification.
Now it´s time for few pictures.

Sharp preparation for Tour of Ireland have started in USA, when my team joined one day flat classic race Chicago Criterium. Although almost of my top riders were out of shape yet, I was hoping for good result. Bremmeier led Nico in final sprint, however he failed to keep England´s bike as planned. England proved his sprinter abilities again, whilst Nico and Matthew finished as 4th and 5th. Neither good, nor bad result.

My riders were predicted as one of favourites here, so I wanted to prove it and I did! Nico took his 3rd win this season, Matthew took 3rd place...I love Sweden!

2) I´m proud I can say that all my current riders (except of Van Vooren) have contract at least for next season!
On the other hand, only one scouted rider have signed contract with my team. His name and skills will be published in October. It´s much more complicated to sign good riders and hold of my transfer policy than expected (only Belgian and riders from British Isles), even already signed youngster is Luxemburger...I´m afraid I´ll have to look around in other countries too
Well, that´s enough for now.
PS: Don´t forget to praise Nico!!!

La Due Giorni Marchigiana
Last test before Ireland Tour. Unfortuntely race is broken, I lost my patience after several attempts and simulated it. Matthew Brammeier took nice 3rd place here.
One more thing. Big fish was finally hunted. I´m proud to introduce new face in my team for next seasons.
David doesn´t live good times in Garmin this year, I hope he´ll find new motivation in upcoming season(s) and bring us some great victories!
Next: Tour of Ireland |

Last sponsor´s goal is ahead of us. We have to win at least one stage in Ireland. It is hard goal, very hard...
Stage 1
Steven Van Vooren joined early breakaway group and won both Mountain sprints.
They were caught few km before finish though. My sprinters had bad day and hadn´t any chance to succeed. Alexejs Saramotins took stage win.

9 Nico Eeckhout An Post - Sean Kelly Team s.t.
10 Tony Gibb Plowman Craven - Madison s.t.
Stage 2
Steven Van Vooren was again in break and confirmed his KOM jersey.
Nico felt good today, but by his own mistake he was closed near barrier and couldn´t finish effectively. Anibal Borrajo was the fastest.
Sorry, I forgot export results..
Stage 3
I thougt last hill with following descent before finish will give me chance here, but I was wrong. Jan Ghyselinck tried to sneak away from bunch, bridged small gap, but he was quickly caught. And today´s winner? Karsten Heß.

Stage 4
Look at final part of stage. There are 2 very steep hills followed by also steep descent. Maybe it could help today?
Peloton is together just before final climb.
We are almost on summit, still all together, when...
...Nico suddenly attacks, Ghyselinck and my best downhiller Van Vooren counters!
Peloton is stunned by our marvelous move, my riders bridges nice gap!
Last kilometer, Nico´s great work is over, Ghyselinck takes a lead!
Finish line and it´s treble for my team! Awesome result! Last objective is now reached! (and sponsors are poor )

One day, one stage and everything is otherwise. By other words, from disapointment to hapiness in one day
I must say I really wasn´t sure, if this notoriously known trick will work in extreme level. I was lucky that my riders saved a little (really just a little) of red bar after that furious climb. If I would attack two or three seconds earlier, they would never goes over the top out of saddle and couldn´t continue in attack in downhill section. Luck was on my side today |

Stage 5
Last stage of Ireland Tour. Doesn´t matter, how will be result today, all people will remember our total domination yesterday.
10km to go, due to strong wind peloton got split, luckily my best placed riders are ahead.
Although Van Vooren can´t lead Ghyselinck more, situation is very promising...where is yellow jersey?
Only four riders are ahead, when the sprint begins!
Ghyselinck followed by Eeckhout flies forward!
And Nico Eeckhout is today´s winner! Ghyselinck is 2nd and takes overall victory ahead of Nico. Awesome!!

Absolutely unbeliavable! We dominated whole race after very disapointing three stages and won everything except sprinter jersey! Sponsors noticed our major success on home field and chanhed their confidence from bad (pre-race) to excellent!!!
