Bruyneel and Levi posted: Crash update on Lance from Castilla y Leon: Clean collarbone fracture without complications. Should be fast recovery. More to come.

"Fast Recovery" from a broken collarbone usually means a month and a half until he can start to train. After that, a long time until top fitness

Isso: Armstrong will ride the giro easily..
It's a non-complicated fracture, and usually riders recover pretty fast from that.
If, and I think that chance is already low, Armstrong doesn't make the Giro in time, he will most certainly recover soon enough for a good Tour de France. |

Scotty Nydam broke his c-bone at California and was back training the next week. Now he is racing at the Tour of the Redlands

Even without surgery recovery time is fairly quick. I have broken my collarbone 3 times and each time I was back on the bike 2-3 weeks after though I would not risk a race so early on.

Its never that long to get top fitness back from a C-bone, you can still do some pretty full on turbo sessions. It all depends on how bad the break is. |
