Alright, changed channel to the road race and already I'm fed up with SVT's commentators. Please give me eurosport now.
Anyway, can someone give a quick summary of the race so far? |

early break of the two south americans, really slow in the first hour for Peloton gap grew to about 15 minutes,
a few attacks from peloton, then a group of four go, get a gap and are chased by 21
this 25 are now chasing the 2 leaders and have over a minute on the field.
group includes Sastre, Kirchen, Voight, Bruseghin, Kreuziger, and Van Den Broeck
edit: and its over 90 degrees, smog seemed pretty bad, and the bolivian got a bug flicked off his jersey by the Chilian

Thanks, haven't missed much then.

Try using a proxy server from Canada. I've done that dozens of times for cycling/soccer/whatever streams that were only available in those countries. Works every time for me.
That said, NBC's stream on the website is good quality but the reporting is terrible. I'm checking here for rider lists to see who is in each group, haha. |

What are the chances Almonacid ends up with Columbia, Slipstream, or somebody else for 2009? |

that little split of the road on the climb could be important to launch an attack from later on

Apparently the only rider dropped on that lap was Jon Bellis. He's 45 seconds behind the chase group, and then it's another 15 seconds back to a group of Chris Anker Sorenson, Vladimir Karpets, Vincenzo Nibali, Laurens Ten Dam, Pierre Rolland, Nicholas Roche, and Johan Vansummeren. It's another four seconds back to Bettini, Contador, and Andy Schleck, and then another three back to the Peleton. |
