Ram: only 510MB... (atleast thats what it says here when I run dxdiag it says 510MB ram next to 'memory' but I dont think thats correct since I can run pcm06 on pretty high graphics )
Graphics card: ATI Radeon x300/x500 series
buy or not to buy
I don't recommend it Justin unless you upgrade your ram - minimum spec is twice what you have - and your graphics card won't help. If it ran at all, graphical options would be on minimum I'm afraid.
Wait for the demo - I'm very doubtful, but you never know |

JustinWK ive got a pretty simmilar laptop to you
Processor 1.60 GHz
memory 512MB
graphics card ATI radeon x300 128MB
and it just about runs, has to be on min settings and can be a little jerky in places, like when lots of people attack at the same time, i havent tried that many levels though have mainly been doing the track racing which works really well but the couple of road stages that i have tried have been playable
hope that helps |

RAM: 2048 DDR2
Graphic Card: 512MB Nvidia Geforce 7300 TC or SE

well I just updated my drivers for what its worth, and yes I know about the ram but its strange since I can run pcm06 at great graphics and I also dont really have big trouble playing Medieval Total War

I would be very odd if your PC could do that with just 512mb of ram, so it's probably a motherboard<->XP incompatibility that's making it show up as just 512. you probably have more.
Still, I'd get a bit more just to be safe.
Worst case scenario, you can wait for the demo and know exactly how it runs

and how the hell am I supposed to get more RAM?ops:
btw another question, what I did have sometimes while playing medieval total war was that when I was playing for like 6 hours that it said that it didnt have enough virtual memory, I remember that you could also manually increase the virtual memory but I dont know how anymore...

by buying it
it's the easist thing in the world to install: open the pc, fit it in, it makes a clicking noise signalling that it's fitted in well, then close the PC and start it.

ok now I included some more stuff...
DELL DIMENSION 5100
Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.00 GhZ
ATI Radeon x300/x500/x1050 series
then next to memory it says 510 RAM MB and next to 'exchange memory' (litteraly translated so it probably aint a word) it says that Im using 550 MB and that there is still 600 MB left
Then at system info it says I have 512 MB physical memory and that I have 94 mb left, Virtual memory is 2 GB and this so called 'exchange memory' is 1,22 GB
so im not really sure whether any of those others could represent the amount of RAM that I have...

It means you have 510MB physical RAM in your computer and that Windows is using 2GB of harddrive space as the slowest RAM in history.

hi
I dont know if this has anything to do with shaders, but if it does, here it goes...
My card doesnt support this --> Specular Phong Shading, but does support
Specular Flat Shading and Specular Gouraud Shading. will i be able to play with shaders?
Because in PCM2007 my buildings were all black!!!
Thanks |

It's weird Justin, because your processor is good and 3Ghz is very good, but they only gave you 512MB RAM

Justin, grow up. Tell your father to stop being a cheap ass focused on laptops. Demand you get a stationary with at least one nVidia 8800 GTS Ultra in it.
