but we need riders from other teams like moreau and ricco. If you have a look at our team here the only good guys are: Brown, Menchov, Weening and De Groot. the rest are weak and inexsperienced.
4 good guys there is a solid team. but I disagree, since I think you've got more than that. De Maar may with experience become a very good rider. Niermann is a solid helper with a lot of experience, Eltink is a good climber, although nothing outstanding, and is still relatively young.
quite a good team.
But when you look at the peloton we only have 4 or 5 riders in there because the rest have dropped of the back. And that was only on yesterdays stage. But it happens in the other races like the giro. And i agree maar and eltnik will both be good riders but this is the liberie and we need to put in a strong team to win these rides.

but with that kind of thought, the big riders would get burned out riding all big races, and the younger ones would never get any chance to improve.
that's the philosophy of most football clubs, and it's a horrible mistake by them. I think it would be a very bad choice for any cycling team, let alone for one with the youth academy that Rabobank has...
I think the bottom line is: the dauphine is NOT one of Rabobank's top priorities, so these results are more than acceptable, and a stage win or top-5 overall would be great

no need to apologize. the reason I put that there was so you'd know about the double 1-2....and to save me from re-writing it

you're saying they can become very good riders by riding in such fabulous races as the Settimana Lombarda riding against guys like Eddy Ratti??
you can't look at it like that. to be the best AT ANYTHING, you must face the best.
you'll never become better riding against worse opposition than you.

maybe they're just trying to keep him as fresh as possible for the Tour de France, but there's no way he'll have any form going into it |

he rode luxembourg, and is now scheduled for Suisse, nationals and then Tour. it's only natural that he took a break before it, considering how long he'd been riding for..
and by the way...Romandie...nobodies???

I really hope valverde can tick all the boxes this time, It always seems that we always want Valverde to do well, but when it comes to it its always a bit dissapointing. Maybe because this time its a bigger race and preperation for the Tour he might do better. |

well it looks like Vuelta 06 again ... watch for Vino, Kasha and Alejandro Belmonte B)
btw Vino said that he will probably help Kasheshkin to take overall lead to help boost his morale, he is not giving himself any targets at DL, because his main objectives is ofcourse TdF07
My prediction is Moreau on top of Ventoux.
did you saw how much he was struggeling in TT ???

Andrey Kashechkin is going to win the stage today. Just wait and see
Or I hope that Conterdor can do well today but I doubt it because he isn't as fit as some of the others. |
