Once again the attack came too late from Aru though. It is the 3rd time where he ALMOST catches enough BotD riders to sprint for bonus seconds... If Aru ends up losing the race by seconds they have been doing a shitty race.
There should be a time gap between Aru, Contador and maybe Porte

That is enough, unless he can get over his issues on the rest day I think today was the nail in the coffin for any podium hope he might still have had

Well, I can only also agree on that, I have repeated that over and over the first week of the race. The breaks basically have just survived with the skin on their teeth 4 days now - and Aru has clearly proven to be he most explosive among Porte, Contador and him.
At least they won today, but despite how strong they have looked so far, I feel like they could have gotten a fair amount more - extra seconds, Maglia Rose on Aru and at least one more stage win.

Well today he ends up 29 seconds behind the 3rd place that would possibly have given him Maglia Rosa. Yesterday he missed it by 4 seconds to Reichenbach, and missed it also because they sent Landa up the road...
I wonder if they want 2 riders on the podium as 2nd and 3rd rather than win the race.
