Looked like the Rams could come off with the "upset" win again this week, but Arizona rallied after Palmer went down and destroyed the Rams, who have now lost after leading after half for I think the 5th time this season.

I would rather lose like that then how Miami has lost in the LAST MINUTE twice this season... 7-2 or 6-3 is now a 5-4 season

32. Oakland Raiders (0-9) (/)
-- Oakland has not won in almost a full year now. They had a decent start against Denver, but it proved to be a fluke. They are officially out of the playoff race, but that's not a surprise. It will be interesting to see if they tank on purpose for a #1 draft pick, as the only real chances they have left to win are St. Louis or Buffalo.
31. Jacksonville Jaguars (1-9) (/)
-- Jacksonville is struggling to find a defensive spine. They will have a very much needed bye now before making another attempt at a win against juggernaut Indianapolis. This season is not what they had envisioned at the start of the year, as playoff hopes are done for them as well.
30. Tennessee Titans (2-7) (-2)
-- Regardless of their record, they are still beating Jacksonville in the division, so they have something to play for. They could not move the ball down field at all against Baltimore, and new QB Z. Mettenberger should try to work on improving his game more to earn a permanent starting spot.
29. Tampa Bay Buccaneers (1-8) (+1)
-- They stuck with Atlanta a majority of the game. If they can continue to play like they did the first half, they could easily win their next 2 games, something that Lovie Smith needs to keep his job. Contrary to belief, they are not out of the playoff race yet because they are in the worst division in the league where the leader isn't even .500.
28. Washington Redskins (3-6) (-1)
-- Who is the QB here? Is RG3 finally healthy and 100% safe, or is McCoy going to get another shot. Regardless of who plays, the talent on this team SHOULD be enough to get by Tampa Bay just a few weeks removed from beating Dallas.
27. Minnesota Vikings (4-5) (-2)
-- Adrian Peterson could be reinstated soon, which would is significantly boost the offense if they bring him back. Fresh off of a bye week, they can take advantage of the bad news bears and sneak out with a win. Bridgewater has the potential to do this and get the team out of last in the division.
26. New York Jets (2-8) (+3)
-- Vick proved that the Jets have the talent to win, and they did for just the second time this season. They did it against a Top 10 team not to mention. They have a bye week now to get even better, and then some divisional games with a chance to play spoiler. A 6 win season is still a good possibility for the Jets, who will try to salvage Rex Ryan's job yet another year.
25. Chicago Bears (3-6) (-1)
-- Chicago is a disaster right now. After a strong start, fans were confident in this team. Now, they are bringing paper bags to games with them. They have gave up 35 points three times in a row, and 50 points twice. The offense has been benched 3 games in a row now, something that is rarely seen. They absolutely need to win this week to have any hope for this season.
24. St. Louis Rams (3-6) (-1)
-- For awhile it looked like St. Louis was going to pull out a win, especially after the injury for Arizona to Palmer. However, St. Louis could not hold on for the win, which basically ruined any chances at a playoff run. This injury prone team still has many positives, such as QB Davis. They will look for a big upset against Denver this week.
23. Atlanta Falcons (3-6) (+3)
-- Atlanta pulled out another win this week. This may not seem important, but they are literally 1 game out of first place. They still have a playoff spot to play for, and their next 2 games against Carolina & Cleveland are huge for this team. Matt Ryan needs to step up and deliver some wins.
22. New York Giants (3-6) (-1)
-- New York has collapsed in the last month. 4 Straight losses after leading in all of them. In a tough division, it looks like playoff chances are gone again. They will look to ruin Dallas or Philly's season over the next few weeks, and try to finish at .500.
21. Carolina Panthers (3-6-1) (-1)
-- Carolina is a roller coaster. They can win big, or lose big, and no matter who they play. They have a HUGE division game against Carolina this week, with the loser possible being eliminated from the division race. With New Orleans back on top in the division, Carolina needs to keep up with the pace. Cam Newton needs to be more elusive in the pocket and avoid sacks, something he did bad against Philly.
20. Buffalo Bills (5-4) (-1)
-- Failed to capitalize on a huge chance to inch closer to New England and gain ground on Miami. Now they are in a tough situation against Miami this Thursday Night. Mario Williams will hope to have a field day on the Miami O line like last time, especially with Albert out. That could be the key to winning and staying in the wild card race.
19. Houston Texans (4-5) (-1)
-- Houston needs to win a majority of the remaining games to have a legit shot at the playoffs. They play Cleveland this week, and they will need to win the game to get some momentum back. Ryan Mallet has a huge opportunity this game and surely will not waste it, will he?
18. New Orleans Saints (4-5) (-1)
-- First home loss of the season for these guys. Drew Brees had a crucial fumble in OT that led to a 49ers FG. Despite not having a winning record, the Saints are leading their division at the moment. They have 2 more home games in the next few weeks that could be very important games with how close the division is at the moment.
17. Miami Dolphins (5-4) (-1)
-- Another heart shattering loss for the Fins this week in the last minute. This team could be 7-2 or 6-3, but is instead 5-4 and on the outside of the playoff race. They need to get payback on the Bills this week, before tough games with Denver & Baltimore. They also have to play New England again.
16. Cleveland Browns (6-3) (+6)
-- Cleveland is playing very well right now. They are leading the division, and their schedule shows much weakness. They will need to get set up in good position as their last 4 games could prove to be challenging. At the pace this team is going, a wildcard is almost a lock, and that's surprising.
15. San Diego Chargers (5-4) (-2)
-- San Diego was the second best team at one point. They are now struggling to stay in the top HALF of the league. I had them as a lock in wildcard team a few weeks ago, now they are out of the playoffs. They will have 2 fairly easy games coming up after that thrashing they took from Miami.
14. Baltimore Ravens (6-4) (+1)
-- Baltimore, at 6-4, is LAST in the division. Arguable the best division in the league right now, there is no room for error. The Saints game this week could be make or break for Baltimore. They have winnable games the last 4 weeks, and an 11 win season would surely get them in the playoffs.
13. Pittsburgh Steelers (6-4) (-4)
-- Pittsburgh regained the title of most inconsistent team. After beating on Indy, Carolina, and Baltimore, they were beaten themselves by a 1 win team in the Jets. Tennessee is the easiest game they have left, which is this week. They have tough opponents in Kansas City & Cincinnati left, and they might need 11 wins to squeeze in the playoffs.
12. Cincinnati Bengals (5-3-1) (-5)
-- That tie is killing them more every week. At only 5 wins halfway through the season, they will need to rely on Dalton getting his game back together and being able to win the 2 games against Pittsburgh. They play Houston & Tampa Bay yet which they should be able to win, setting up a big game with Denver in Week 16 that could be a elimination game.
11. San Francisco 49ers (5-4) (+3)
-- San Fran survived in New Orleans this week, and is still very much alive in the NFL wildcard race. They still have to play Seattle twice yet, as well as league best Arizona. The odds have the 49ers not making the playoffs, but this team is always ready for a challenge, as they beat Dallas & Philly both already.
10. Kansas City Chiefs (6-3) (+2)
-- 6-1 in their last 7 games. Andy Reid has this team in the playoffs right now, they just have to hold on. They have 3 very challenging games in the next 4 weeks, and it is important that they win at least 2 of them unless the other challengers lose. It is looking good now for the Chiefs however.
9. Seattle Seahawks (6-3) (+2)
-- Seattle is climbing back up the rankings for the first time in about 5 weeks. Their next 6 teams are against teams that are currently in the playoff bubble, and it would not be surprising to see Seattle finish at 9-7 and short of the playoffs. There miscues early in the year could come back to haunt them. On the other hand, they could prove that they are indeed the best and win 5 of them getting 12 wins.
8. Green Bay Packers (6-3) (+2)
-- Big game against Philly this week to keep up with Detroit. The Week 17 match-up they have with the Lions will probably be for the division championship, but they have to reach that point first. Every game is important for Rodgers and the Packers, who will look to continue the strong defensive efforts they have been putting in the past few weeks.
7. Dallas Cowboys (7-3) (+1)
-- Dallas is just 2 wins away from beating the streak of 8-8 seasons. They play Chicago & Washington, which will probably be 2 they will win. They have a much needed bye week before going for NYG again, which would give Dallas 10 wins, probably clinching them a wildcard regardless of what Philly does. But a 10-6 Dallas team not in the playoffs would get fans very very upset.
6. Detroit Lions (7-2) (/)
-- Matt Stafford led an amazing comeback to beat Miami this week and remain the second best team in the NFC. The problem? They play the #1 NFC team this week and they are in a very tight race for the division lead. Detroit has a huge chance to runaway with the division if they win, and even if they lose they are going to have the division lead.
5. Indianapolis Colts (6-3) (/)
-- Indy was off this week, and they needed to prepare for what they are getting this week. Indianapolis will play the best team in the league, and look to make a statement. They should not be worrying too much, because they have a very safe division lead, and the playoffs are all but a lock at this point.
4. Arizona Cardinals (8-1) (-1)
-- They still have the best record in the league, but they drop to 4? Carson Palmer is out for the year, and Drew Stanton had to prove that he can take this team all the way to the super bowl, which is in their own stadium. Arizona is in a tough division, but with just a handful of more wins, they will be in the playoffs.
3. Philadelphia Eagles (7-2) (+1)
-- Mark Sanchez proved that he has everything under control until Foles is healthy. Philadelphia is right with Dallas in the division race, but they currently have a safe wild card gap. They have 3 very easy games left in Tennessee, Washington, and NYG. Philadelphia should have no trouble sliding into the playoffs.
2. Denver Broncos (7-2) (/)
-- Denver blew-out Oakland this week to nobody's surprise. Peyton had a huge game, also no nobody's surprise. 5 of their last 7 should be no problem wins, and a first round bye is in progress. You can't help but to think the AFC title game already has Denver as a lock.
1. New England Patriots (7-2) (/)
-- Best team in the league took off this week to prepare for a tough test in Indy. They have a few tough games coming up before ending the season with 2 easy divisional games. New England will be playing for a first round bye, and also aim to keep everyone healthy on the team.

Browns are top of their division and have blown out Pittsburgh and Cincinnati but are ranked below them?
Trust me, I am not the only one who has it like that.
Also, if I did it by your logic, Jacksonville should be ahead of Cleveland, no?
Well no, the Jags game is an outlier by far and was unsurprising as the first game without Alex Mack. They have lost the other 2 by a combined 5 points which is a more accurate representation. I just personally feel they should be ahead of the rest of their division like every other division leader - which would be 12th when only 6 teams have better records. But that's just my view
I agree with jph. Cleveland are one of the better teams on record and you can't mark them down based on future expectations. They've already blown everyones pre-season thoughts so using those same ideas to rank them that low is criminal.
Also Seattle arn't #1 which is clearly incorrect as you know they are the best team and are just making sure everyone has a fair chance to win the SuperBowl

But didn't Baltimore beat Cleveland, and they also have a much tougher schedule as well.
Similar situation with Miami, they are ahead of Buffalo but lost to them week 2, this Thursday will settle that debate though
