I wouldn't be so certain. Porte has two things going for him 1) he's not Contador's main competition so he flies somewhat under the radar for now and 2) He will make up huge time in the ITT. If Porte can ride a steady tempo most days behind Contador and let him crack Nibali then Porte can easily make up 60 seconds in the ITT (he beat Contador by ~45 seconds in last year's (only 21 miles to this year's 38). This year's ITT is long of the longest in Tour history, so there is huge potential for Porte. Porte's goal just has to be minimizing the damage.
